I did some checking while constructing a new rocket( I have to grab a kerbal with the claw or Jeb won't be happy) and I found out that a lot of parts have a flag and that, from the few flag I have seen, you can toggle it for every parts that has a flag! EDIT: Also, it seem that you can now quicksave at any moment in your flight(or crash); it might not be a good idea to load that quicksave but you were able to do that save.

Hi! I don't think I have to explain very much: the flag you choose now appear(V 0.23.5) on some parts: I have seen it on the command pod and on the claw(you can toggle it in the VAB). I don't know if it is on other parts because I didn't searched a lot(I was busy trying to rendez-vous with one of these asteroid). Thank you for reading this (very short) thread!

Hi! If you used a claw on an asteroid, you could have noticed that the game offer you to target the COM of the asteroid. However, if you want to use the claw on something else(e.g a debris you want to deorbit), you can't target the center of mass. My suggestion is to allow to target the COM on non-asteroid bodies, it would help a lot for reducing the Kessler syndrome(if you want to reduce it )

How to rendez-vous with an asteroid?
goldenpeach replied to goldenpeach's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thank you for the answers! Of course I forgot to check the new tutorials(I basically forgot they have been updated in this update)! -
One year already? Time goes by very fast! I didn't loosed my account(I registered a long time before the Kraken attack on the forum) but I lost some post and threads(don't remember how many) but I do remember a particular tread I made, simply because it was showing why(ok, one of the reasons) this community was gold(figuratively I hope)!

I know how to make an interplanetary transfer(to some extant, if the planet in inclined it's really hard for me(=) but I have no idea on how I could do the same with an asteroid before it escape Kerbin making it impossible(or really hard) to send it on kerbin orbit. Anyone have any idea on how I could do that(I use mechjeb if it can be of any help)? Thank you for reading and have fun with the new update!

Every thing is in the title. In today's comic you can "change" the comic by making new choices, with this one you will notice the reference(assuming you crashed at least once). http://xkcd.com/1350/#p:c4de442a-b9ea-11e3-8002-002590d77bdd

kmp: april fools prank for my friend?
goldenpeach replied to TheScareCake!'s topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Make a backup of their save(and their ship) and hide it somewhere. Then, corrupt their save and their craft and tell them that you tried to recover a space station after you accidentally crashed on it when docking. Ask them, with a candid voice, if they had any problems with your edits. Ok, maybe it's a little cruel. -
[1.0]Vanguard Technologies | EVA parachutes | still works
goldenpeach replied to Kreuzung's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This cool mod has saved the lives of countless kerbals. Especially the ejection module when I was trying to build plane in FAR for the first time. It's also cool to jump from the plane in high altitude! -
And you can do that in KSP(with mod): just install FAR and do the same thing as the previous video by tilting your capsule. I suggest you to use the test weight mod(an old mod, but it still work) to move your COM:it will help you tilting the capsule.

KSP in "ciel et espace"( a french magazine on astronomy)!
goldenpeach replied to goldenpeach's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I though there would be other post before this one(apart mine) but I were wrong. How can I delete my post? -
KSP in "ciel et espace"( a french magazine on astronomy)!
goldenpeach replied to goldenpeach's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yes, it was that article but the one in the magazine was longer, i'm currently transferring my photos to post an image of the page of the magazine where there is that article. EDIT: here's the picture of the article and the picture of the front page of the magazine. -
KSP in "ciel et espace"( a french magazine on astronomy)!
goldenpeach replied to goldenpeach's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yes! I took a picture of the article and one of the front page of the magazine(to remember which one it was); just after that I made this tread Now I just have to figure out how to transfer the picture from my phone to my computer, I will then have to post it on imgur(I think I have an account there, but I'm not sure). I'm just saying that so you know it will probably take a long time before you can see it(sorry). EDIT 1: I figured out how to do the transfer(520 photos, 12,7 GB in total). we just have to wait until it finished! -
Hi! Like the title say, KSP was mentioned in a article which was talking on six space related games(KSP was the second one). If you want to know, it's the magazine of march 2014 page 45. Note: when I turned the page 43(going to the pages 44-45) the first thing I saw was the two screens of KSP, after I recovered from my surprise, I read the article and took a picture of it(it's a great souvenir to keep ). PS: the article wasn't negating that failure( i.e crashes and explosions) was a very important part of the game.

Live Launch: Soyuz -> ISS
goldenpeach replied to Kerbin Dallas Multipass's topic in Science & Spaceflight
There is a company that offer trip in "0 g". They take you in a plane, go high, then dive: it's like being in a 0 g environment; it look quite fun, if I have enough money one day, I will try that! PS:if you want the link for the company(where you can make reservation(lucky you)) : https://www.gozerog.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=NASA_Research.welcome -
Live Launch: Soyuz -> ISS
goldenpeach replied to Kerbin Dallas Multipass's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Oh my god! Just in time to see the end of the launch! And I didn't even knew there was a launch today! -
I made a quick source search but wasn't able to find one. The only source I can recall(and this where I got the fact in the first place) is a french magazine( science et vie junior) and I don't remember which copy it was(sorry). If I find the time(and motivation ) I will try to find a source.
-
Little interesting fact: the soyouz are built horizontally because of the cold war: a giant tube is way more easy to hide than a very tall building.
-
I build rockets, I don't have a rocket specialization(although I build more manned rocket than unmanned one and I only have a small space station). I sometime build plane(quite rare) and I fly them more often than I build them, especially when I kind of bored of rockets.

Fix the barometer.
goldenpeach replied to arise257's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Maybe it could be like the crew report(and the EVA report and other experiments of the same sort): it only give science once, then it "give" 0 science(because you wouldn't need multiple reading in the same place to say that there is no atmosphere).
