  1. I dunno about the RCS aid. Cant imagine how would that work. And the air whirls behind the plane wouldnt tell me much, really. I assume thats what you mean by saying "wind stripes", right? I think that would overcomplicate it a bit, and just flying the plane without any budget hit when crashing it, would work best.

  3. Huh. With such a butthurt/post ratio on your forum page, I cant take you seriously anymore. Seems like the conversation between the two of us is over. Also an edit about that stealing thing, so other people dont get me wrong: Im pretty sure SQUAD and modders both agree on implementing mods into the stock game, and both have some sort of profits. At least thats what I want to believe so. Havent seen a single modder whom mod became the part of the game to be complaining. Unless Im missing something...
  4. I play in windowed mode so misclicking it is sometimes a pain. Also for some unknown reason my game tends to run slower and become laggier every time I run it. That could be fixed, I guess. Dont know how, though. - - - Updated - - - You need to remember theres like 20 guys working on the base game and 100+ people in the modding section that simply make stuff that were going to be implemented in the stock game anyway, and since something works fine and people like it theres no point against "stealing" them from modders. I would call that a "boosted, driven by community developement".
  5. Mu was the dev behind fixing the ladders and making them somehow stable, and he said he had nightmares about them, because they were so annoying. And since there seems to be an invisible one on every hatch we just have to deal with it. I actually dont mind that, unless I dont have an EVA pack on me Kerbals.
  6. Depends on its orbit. If its on a lower one it will go below the horizon faster. If its higher itll go slower, not at all(geostationary), or from east to West(higher than geostationary).
  7. It just struck me literally seconds ago. So now we have those pilot skills. What if you got a probe to orbit, waited for it to get over the horizon, took off with a plane, targrted the probe and left it there to go around the planet on its own? The only problem is figuring out what orbit it should be on.
  8. Don't what to say, really. Guess it cpuld be considered as another one of my rants about the rover wheels. Its just that the wheels in KSP .... me off. They seem very slippery and I think suspension tweaking would fix that. Adding weight is simply not an option.

One time I was getting ready for the runway landing when my right wing went *poof!* Funny thing I wasnt even mad, considering it was my super hard-mode career save and loosing any craft was quite a punch for the funds. No kerbals were lost, though. I'm guessing it was some sort of invisible wall from another dimension.
  10. Aero, of course. Good thing its being redone. The rest is fine. Maybe life support could be added, too. Would be cool.
  11. Also a rover playground with ramps and all that rovery stuff. With G slider, of course. Or some sort of line holding it. Like in the Moon landing special of Mythbusters.
  12. KER should be stock. With Delta-V and TWR. How it should be done: you get to know dV and TWR for different bodies by exploring them - through science experiments. Gravioli, preassure, the accelerometer etc., or by telescope observation (drawing orbits by yourself? Measuring the radius?). Not sure how gravity and all that stuff is calculated irl. Im no astrophysicist.
  13. Its not that hard, actually. Given now we have those new pilot skills its just a matter of targetting one of the planes and matching speeds. I would've gone to the south pole of Kerbin If I wasnt a moron by getting one of the planes in a flatspin

  16. I made this: New landing gear and cargo ramps would definitely help. Maybe a MK2 inline VTOL engine would let me lift my MK3 designs, just so I can land them in places without runways. Also airbrakes. That's a must have. EDIT: Also this: The cargo one flies sooooo well with NEAR aero. It's one of my best MK3 crafts so far.
  17. So there was this guy, who suggested: I think it's a great idea, but would like to modify it a bit. How I see this is in the VAB/SPH we would have a "Simulation" button, in which the craft would appear in 3D, borderless scene. There would be all the preassure, wind speed and oxygen sliders + the G one. That way we could see if the craft is able to launch from a certain body, or if the RCS is balanced. Something like the NASA pool but with 100% less water. Not sure how the ground should be displayed. Maybe with a laser line which hit, would stop the simulation. You could also record the flight with free camera movement, like it was in IL2 Sturmovik. I would love to see what you think and how it could be improved.
  18. The Mk1-2 pod should be thrown down the deepest depths of hell and be redesigned from the scratch. Probably something Dragon II-looking pod would be both, pretty and more functional the one we have now.
  19. No, it can't. It sure can hover on those 8 basic jets, but doesn't have enough thrust to horizontally take off.
  20. Launching planes from the pad, because why the hell not. EDIT: I probably should give it a mriya-like tail, because the butterfly one doesn't stabilize it enough. It also would look cool. EDIT 2:

  23. First I need the resources, so I can explore the moon systems without caring about getting stuck. Yes to the new planets, but with deep space refuelling first and none of the above options in the poll.
  24. I once setup a base on the Mun just to slide my kerbals across the terrain. It was Bill and Bob, I think. Sadly both crew members went missing due to unknown cause.
  25. Why would you need a mk3 docking port? Can't you just sink the shielded one in the hull? It'll look better and won't take so much space than an inline one
