what kind of ksp DLC would you like?
Wjolcz replied to Roderik's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
DLC not really needed, but if I could think of any it would be something like Star Wars. With OP engines, laser pew-pew guns and an empire to fight against. Or some other aliens. Maybe some alternation of human history of rocketry but with actual aliens involved. -
If we have dV in VAB no matter if there's engineer onboard or not then I'm cool with that. And think about how pilots calculate fuel IRL. But yeah, they are not engineers. Maybe they should give that skill to both but not the scientist? EDIT: Of course computer could do the same thing (just like KER). Give the ability to probe cores too?

Since when is it possible to quicksave/quickload in atmo?
Wjolcz replied to Wjolcz's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Just like this: The small one is attached to the big one shuttle-style. Then I release it, target the big one and use the pilot skills to keep the track of it. The only thing I have to care about then is throttle and relative target speed. The last pic is unrelated. Misclicked it when uploading the pics. -
Since when is it possible to quicksave/quickload in atmo?
Wjolcz replied to Wjolcz's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Sure thing. Wasnt going to use it for unpowered landing anyway. But for someone who builds a lot of planes (like me) and flies many at the same time I find this to be a very useful feature. -

Wjolcz replied to Wjolcz's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I must've missed it then. To me its a pretty major addition to the game. -
I remember some time ago Devs saying "its not possible to quicksave/quickload in the atmo", but suddenly I browse forums and see someone saying something about quickooading with chutes open. So I go launch the game, take my fav airplane, take off and F5-F9 and BAM! I travelled back in time in the atmosphere! Maybe I wasnt paying attention to dev notes, or something but also remember the times when it wasnt possible until landed.

[PLEASE ANSWER] Is there aliens in Ksp Or A Mod that adds them?
Wjolcz replied to LucaBunny77's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Or a mission that suddenly pops up "Theres a fast moving object flying right over KSC! Go get it!" And then you have to get as close as possible to it and make a crew report. EDIT: please someone make this a mod. I need it o.o -
[PLEASE ANSWER] Is there aliens in Ksp Or A Mod that adds them?
Wjolcz replied to LucaBunny77's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yep. That would be awesome. Just seeing lights a few kilometers away from you when flying planes, or something. The more rare and random it would be the better. And if it's movement was inteligent in some way. Maybe it would stay on our crafts six and fly away in different directions when being chased. -
Im a pilot ever since I let MechJeb fly and it failed miserably at doing so. I aint giving my designs to be flying by some silly robots! Just take a look what happened to Discovery mission in The Space Oddyssey!
-
Nope. I know It looks kinda like Mig but when I was building it I was thinking of Me P1101 (ffuselage) and Ta-183 (control surfaces). But the light placement is actually taken from Mig.
-
Guess what plane this is? It's actually a mix-up of two. An existing one and one that model was only designed and tested in wind tunnel. Flies really well with NEAR so it should be OK with FAR.
-
Yeah, I just posted and then checked. Kinda follishly. Seems like there were 2 variants. But the V tail on that thing would look wicked, wouldn't it?

Squadcast Summary (2015-01-31) - The 'Wait For It..' Edition
Wjolcz replied to BudgetHedgehog 's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The hell? KERBIN afaik never got any resize. It wasvthe atmosphere that got higher. And I dont think it was 0.16 but earlier. To me the size of Kerbin is okay. Its a game after all. Resizing it would ruin a lot. Everything would have to be rescaled. Ane Im not a fan of that, tbh. -
Looks good, but it should have the butterfly tail. And you could clip the engines into the fuselage a bit
-
On our DMP server I am the one doing docking and aerobraking so Im more of a pilot. Although I like designing things I like piloting them way more.

There's a dot down the slope on the first picture. It's the rover that got flipped and is now laying there upside-down being useless. The last two are unrelated to Duna mission but I thought I'd share them anyway.

Squadcast Summary (2015-01-31) - The 'Wait For It..' Edition
Wjolcz replied to BudgetHedgehog 's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Procedural fairings are okay as long as they don't get ridiculous like the pFairings mod with massive eggs on top of slim rockets. The rest of the parts should stay the way they are now IMO. -
Behold the two picture album! Going to visit Duna again. This time in multiplayer. There's a base kit in that cargo bay already. Just forgot to take a pic of it. We also had an Orion-like spacecraft docked to it but DMP bugged out and it didn't save. It was pretty much ready for departure.

Rocket Science: harder than anticipated
Wjolcz replied to TheAlmightyOS's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
You can get Kerbal Alarm Clock. Never was fancy to figure out how it works myself, but as far as I know you can plan transfer windows with it. Also go find some interplanetary tutorials on youtube. -
I recommend OP to download Kerbal Engineer Redux. It's all you really need. TWR and dV readouts are incredibly useful for planning missions.

SQUAD - Look what you have done!! (Thank you Thread)
Wjolcz replied to Keepbro's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yep. Squad has done the same thing to me. I found about the game when I was sadly too old for reeducation. If I got this game like 15 years ago I would be probably doing completely something else. But now its more of a hobby. The game itself seriously influenced me and I started to be interested in all that aeronautics and space exploration stuff. I wish I was as eager to learn physics and math 15 years ago as I am now : ( -
What is the version of KSP you owned when...
Wjolcz replied to RAINCRAFTER's topic in KSP1 Discussion
0.11 - Launched the first thing. Didn't go well. 0.18 - First space station. It was glorious and overcomplicated, but fun to fly around it on EVA. -
Transfer window indication
Wjolcz replied to Wjolcz's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Guess you're right, Alshain. That's kind of what I mean when talking about red-green-red transition. It would slowly change it's colour as the optimal transfer comes closer and gets away. And by optimal I mean the least dV needed to perform the transfer. EDIT: It doesn't have to be re-green-red, of course. Just something to know it's getting closer. -
Transfer window indication
Wjolcz replied to Wjolcz's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Well, if you don't want to waste fuel or don't use the interstellar mod with all that warp and high-ISP engines then, like me, you want to have a "DING!" report saying that it is time to perform an interplanetary mission. What you are implying is that it would somehow force you to make the transfer burns, because it's optimal. I want to only KNOW when it's the best time to do that. Also I (and probably many others) don't want to use the external apps to see if it's the time, or time-warp until the planets align. I want to fly my SSTO missions and have a little pop-up window saying that it's the best time to go to planet "X". "Well then! Let me just put this sucker into a stable orbit and go building a Jool-worthy probe!" I know there's KAC and TWP, but I don't want to re-download it everytime a new patch comes out, because it's broken for some reason. -
Its kind of a repost, but I felt like it needed its own place. Another thing, apart from engineers reports in the VAB, that could be added are launch windows indication. How I see it: you go to the tracking station and it basically says something like "The launch window for Jool is available." It would say that in the contracts-like window in the right upper corner of the tracking station screen and the text would go from red, through green and red again. That red-green-red transition would happen during the time period that is most efficient for the transfer. Red - good but not very efficient, Green - the best time for the transfer. Nothing showing - not worth wasting fuel to get there. Nothing fancy but would be very useful.
