I'd prefer if it was either a probe body or a closed cockpit. OP updated. New rule added (hope you don't mind). If anyone wants to do it with an external seat I can add a new leaderboard.

What about power banks with solar cells? Anyone has any experience with them?
-
So I'm not sure if there's a thread about it, because I haven't seen one, but if there is feel free to merge/lock this one after posting a link to an existing thread. So I was lately thinking about replacing my old(ish) SONY Xperia L with something newer. What would be best is a phone with Android 5.0 and higher but with the same size of the screen. The problem is that doesn't leave me with much options, so I also thought about buying something like this. The phone cameras are kind of meh/10, but I don't think I'll be using it much anyway. I'm also considering buying a solar power bank. Because free energy! (not really though). So what do you think? Is it a good idea to buy a phone from a not-so-well-known company, or rather spend more money on something that is more "reliable". Are solar panels on a power bank worth it? Share your thoughts. And please, keep in mind I'm not an expert. Also don't turn this thread into iOS vs Android war thing. We're all mature enough not to do that, right?

You can use airbrakes and spoilers. Uh. Sorry for not updating the OP for such a long time. I need to get to my laptop first.
-
Won't it be landed back on the pad though?
-
I think a good update would be to have a funny faces update and also hats for kerbals and then the hats put on kerbals heads and they would make funny faces and its really needed for the new players because hats and funny faces attracts children and new players Career overhaul update.

Yeah, sorry. I will soon. Didn't have much time recently and I also kinda forgot.

The fact you tagged me here proves that already enough people knows my opinion on the topic. I also had a very salty dinner today.

Air Intake Suction
Wjolcz replied to EpicSpaceTroll139's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yup. I often do to make my planes look sleeker. Especially in wings. Just a bit, but I can imagine having a problem with that. -
Give us 2.5m plane parts
Wjolcz replied to 322997am's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Don't think it's needed. I like to build planes, but IMO the game has enough of them and could use some surface base parts instead. -
Air Intake Suction
Wjolcz replied to EpicSpaceTroll139's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
That would be nice, but sometimes probably also annoying. Not sure how that would affect part clipping and the physics involved. -
Spacecraft Atmosphere Requirement?
Wjolcz replied to ottothesilent's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Oh, alright. Always thought they sucked it back into the vessel/station. -
custom contract (or project) planning?
Wjolcz replied to omelaw's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yes, please. Me and @r4pt0r suggested this some time ago. It seems he was first though. Some sort of custom contract creator would be a blessing for people that don't like to deal with the random contracts we have now. -
Spacecraft Atmosphere Requirement?
Wjolcz replied to ottothesilent's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
But why? Coming out of a pressurized space into vacuum would be at least catastrphic. When astronauts want to come out of an air lock they first suck the air out of it. -
Thermal Tiles/Plates
Wjolcz replied to ZooNamedGames's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I'm not against the idea of some sort of heat shielding that you would paint onto your ship, but a small piece of a heat tile? The question is how many of them would be necessary to protect a single vessel if it's of a size of a cubic strut? Probably too many. Yes for painting them on parts, no for single part heat tiles. But then I don't think it's needed. Maybe for aestethics. The parts have pretty high heat resistance right now anyway. Nerfing them for the sake of a small part that absorbs the heat is unreasonable. What kind of argument even is that -
Oops misunderstood what you mean. That would cost more per rover than landing Curiosity. And the only thing you get is no signal delay.

Spacecraft Atmosphere Requirement?
Wjolcz replied to ottothesilent's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
So basically life support. -
Seems like the problem you are having is caused by the lack of information. KSP doesn't have any dV maps, or dV displays. There's also almost no planning tools for interplanetary journeys. I still love and enjoy KSP, but the lack of basic info (and the career mode, of course) is kind of hard to deal with. You can calculate all the dV yourself, but let's be honest: most of new players will not want to do that.

Kerbin Ore Economics (ore contracts "tweaks")
Wjolcz replied to Wjolcz's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Ok, so that's a problem, but there's a way to deal with this. Imo the ore tanks should be able to be filled in VAB/SPH, but when the vessel is launched the tanks would become empty. That way there would be no possible exploits and the payload would have to be brought from some other body in order to complete the contract. -
Orbital Construction
Wjolcz replied to Robotic_Killer's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Well, as much as I love the idea I always wanted to play with a mod that does that. Don't think it would suit the stock game well. KIS and KAS on the other hand... -
Sir, I believe you to be a troll, but let me reply to your post anyway: Corn can't grow on the south pole simply because there's no soil that could support it and the polar night is too long +the amount of light during the day is probably not sufficient simply because of it's angle (more atmosphere to travel through before reaching the surface). On Mars the day-night cycle is much more consistent and regular. The atmosphere is also thinner. I am not sure what the exact amount of light on Mars' equator and Earth's south pole is, but I'm pretty sure it's managable. If there's any colony ever established on Mars they won't live above the ground anyway. It's better to bury everything because of radiation and keep only the necessary things on the surface (ISRU, solar power plant).

Wheels, Girders Earlier in the Tech Tree
Wjolcz replied to Jonfliesgoats's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Maybe isntead of discussing what was first in human history, we could all agree that having multiple, clearly separated and themed branches would be the best thing? That way anyone could start the tree however they wanted. If it starts with either rockets manned, rockets unmanned or jet-powered contraptions or even rovers first should be up to the player. -
RND Removability?
Wjolcz replied to DunaManiac's topic in KSP1 C# Plugin Development Help and Support
I thought it was some sort of logic gate -

WHAT DO YOU MEAN "YESSSS"? Think about the new players! They will have no idea what to do after such drastic change!
