  1. The pack will have at least one version of each weapon on this challenge's pack and more. Those will have the same parameters as the current pack, or similar if the way BDArmory works changes. All weapons will be balanced for gameplay.

  3. The Weapons Pack has been updated! Fixed a bug where the Breda-SAFAT and the Browning M3 had the same part name.

  5. Working on it, I finished the list now I need to add them to the OP. The one working on the models is my friend VintageXP, who also made the banner and the badge. @Kunighit: yes you do, but I also give you one chance to update the AI, just pm me with new AI settings and I will change it for you. But I will not do this again, if anyone else wants to change their AI settings resubmit the craft ASAP. And no, no one should be allowed to update a craft that already fought, these were the only two exceptions, no more exceptions will be made. @Three1415: shock cone intakes and aerobreakes are space grade parts, please try to keep your plane under ww2 era tech. Also, make it at least look like it would be on a ww2 battle, as Azimech said, that is the purpose of this challenge. But it would be bad to enforce replicating, I want unique and new designs, so I did not add a rule for that, but new rules always show up when something is being abused. Same applies for super thin wings, some people will receive notifications to resubmit their crafts because of that. All-moving wings must also be used sparingly. No formal tournament bracket will be maintained with future fights to allow late updates, if you knew who you will fight against you would not be able to do that. There will be some form of tracking for battles that already happened, I am thinking about something. Both Kunighit's planes resemble a lot the J7W, that's why it's fine, but the second one comes only after the Sanka is eliminated. @nigelwx: no, I disabled them for you.
  6. Yeah it was a good fight. Here is some progress on the weapons pack. It will take a while to be released, it's going to wait at least for the next BDArmory update. I will make sure that they replace the current weapons without affecting it's performance.

  9. Well, Delilah has deployed flaps, that completely screws up the craft flight, it cannot even go on a straight line. I will assume that this was an accident, and will recover them before the match starts. But I will not do this again, disable your flaps or you will get screwed over and it's going to be your fault. Edit: Uploading! I may even have time for a second battle today! And the next battle is... not decided yet. I am processing the entries now to make sure it's all properly set up. Edit2: I will experiment with KerbPaint and may add it on the future.   10. @worir4: looks good for a first plane! How is roll stability? You have a lot of dihedral I am curious about how it handles. @TUKE: yeah that is a known stock bug that shows up more on FAR, stuff explodes.
  11. @sashan: try to use heatshields I heard that they work well as armor.
  12. @VentZer0: My bad, it's just that I put a lot of effort on finding a setup that allow any strategy to work, a lighter craft is always on disvantage on a heads-on, and a heavier craft is on disvantage if they go parlalel or alternate on an X shape. If you only wish to change the AI settings I let you do that. Please pm me with the fixed craft file, but please don't make changes to it other than the AI. And remember your next enemies will not be the same. Edit: this second chance for the crafts works both as a way to avoid a "trial and error" flood of submissions and to soften the luck factor. Sometimes you lost for a specialized craft that is stronger against you but weaker agains everyone else. Edit2: The next battle is today, if it takes less than 20 minutes and does not lose the audio I will upload it raw.
  13. @sashan: you mean like a weapons dispatcher? Something that contains the boms and missoles without having to physically store them? Well, that is indeed a good idea, esp. for bombs and vertical missile launchers, but for airplane missiles it would be a bit OP due to clipping. But yeah, also a good idea.
  14. This is a really good idea I haven't thought of. Btw, I have found several bugs but I will wait for the update first, none of them are really that bad.

  16. This is false, don't assume I did not research and try out a lot of stuff before I came up with this setup. You were abe to win two rounds exactly because of that, you were trying to climb to infinity, if you spawned far away they would have much more time to snipe you. Like it is, they only had a small ammount of time before outclimbing you. You made your design and strategy choices, and I put the planes on a way that does not give great advantage to any side. If you are heavy and want to climb that high you take the risks. But really I don't understand why you were trying to climb so much with those engines as you could never build up energy to fight at your optimal turn rate speed. And even on the slightliest dive you would drain it all trying to climb again. Your design is the strongest I have ever seen, all you need is to find the best strategy for what you have. @worir4: no deadlines

  19. Turns out that filtering the best moments is REALLY HARD. I am a bit lost here, can anyone find me a good copyright-free 30 minutes music that is not annoying? I would put the raw video, but it doesn't even have the sound of the engines. If not, I may be forced to post it only tomorrow, oh well such time constraints, they won't exist anymore after the end of this month, I promise. Meanwhile I will put together the list of the applicants.

  21. @Darren9: omg so cute, and unique, haha I love it. The rear strut clips through the engine? Eh I guess that's ok, doesnt seem like abusing to me.
  22. VentZer0: not yet as your craft is still qualified. Yeah there were some absurd AI mistakes there, but it still performed well, with a few fixes you could have won. Hmm, I can do that, but first I need time. Will see if I can do it from mobile anyway, but there will be no info about the setup, just names. Private submissions will have both creator and craft names hidden unless they say it's okay to show it before the battle.
  23. @angrybold: these may be the condensation/reentry effects, try to reduce or disable them and see if the lag persists. It's normal to lag when they appear, these effects always make the fps drop a bit.
