Lunokhod was there in 0.18.2...dunno why it was made or anything like that From 0.19 it was kinda obsolete as it didnt have seperate wheels which would allow for using 0.19 rover mechanics.

Yup...I think modders should atleast get some insider info on the patch so they can adjust their mods in time (ofcourse they dont have to...but I think they wanna play with their mods too when a new patch comes out...and not...ugh...update)

Usually historical (soviet) stuff was multi-purpose. A lot of stages were shared by different launchers, a lot of spacecraft were multi-purpose...etc.
