also, (you may know this, but perhaps you don't). a geostationary orbit is MORE a function of Orbital Period, NOT height. ok, the above line, while true, can be VERY confusing. But here is the better way to say it: you can obtain a geostationary orbit two ways 1) your sat needs to be at "Exactly" 2,868.75 km for both AP and PE. this is NOT easy to achive. or 2) your sat needs to be "Roughly" 2,868.75 km AND (using Mechjeb, or Kerbal Engineer, or other means of displaying orbital data) get your Orbital Period to be 6 Hours. this allows your AP and PE to be a little bit off, but still you will be in a geostationary orbit. Launch to 2868, perform a basic circulization, then using a SMALL thruster (EG: Ion) burn prograde/retrograde to fine tune your Orbital Period to 6h, 0m, 0s. or as close as you care to. Most people actually find that achieving option 2 is a HECK of a lot easier.

Uli, The ISS from Bobcat and others, has a VERY well documented, contstantly talked about, and oft referred to issue with the PMA-1 part. If there is a PMA-1 part on the ISS at all, weather you are docking to IT or not, You will NOT be able to dock, at all, ever, no matter what, to the ship. This problem has nothing at all to do with MJ.

The CanadArm in this mod can NOT 'walk' (specificly, it can not attach the 'hand' end to the ship, and then release its 'base' end)

Fyrem replied to BobCat's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
you have two Romfarer.dll's... remove the one in Bobcatind folder. and delete the bobcatind\pluginData\romfarer folder. also, if you have the FULL KAS mod itself, the also delete the Bobcatind/kas.dll file. -

International construction ISS in Kerbal orbit.

Netris, that is the "current" list of work. The list that was lost, is from the pre-april kracken attack. IIRC, it was much longer. -

International construction ISS in Kerbal orbit.
Fyrem replied to BobCat's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
fyi, if you don't already know, "Use precision controls" means "hit the Caps lock, so that the controls on the Lower Left turn blue. this causes KSP to scale back on the requested movement by (about) a factor of 10. -

Fyrem replied to TriggerAu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Black-Talon, I agree -
Anglave, While you are correct, KSP now (since 0.18 or 0.19) uses Unity 4. Still I believe that GPU offloading of PhysX is still not supported by Unity4.

those are exactly the same ones I need. I will be doing the same edits.

[0.25] Lionhead Aerospace Inc. - Icarus v0.4 updated
Fyrem replied to Yogui87's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
lol, true, cargo rarely gets annoyed. - oddly Kerbals never seem annoyed at waiting either... Thus Kerbals ARE cargo. -
I wasn't looking at the K version. I acknowlage that the 39xxX and K chips can be better, however those are overlocked. (see my comment that I don't like overclocking). Thus, as I see it, my BEST cpu would be the -4770 (no letter). I will give the ASRock line a closer look, I had not heard of them before.
-
My plan: This month, buy a i7-4770 and a Motherboard. I already have a 'good enough' 580gtx video card - and thus will wait to buy a new one during the next generation of Video cards. However, what I do need to figure out, with all the new motherboards for the Socket 1150 chip, WHICH ONE should I get? Want I want : 2x PCI 3.0, USB 3.0 (more than one would be better), 6gb/s SATA, DDR3 1600 (min) I don't need to worry about the MB's Graphics ability, since I never play to use it. I don't need to worry about the MB's Sound ability, since I have a SoundBlaster card that I will transfer over to the new box. I generally do not Overclock. I just don't feel comfortable doing it. (even thou I am a IT professional, I have seen enough PC's/CPU's fried due to overclocking that I see no reason to deal with it myself). Anyone have any insights as to which Motherboard for socket 1150 is a good choice? Is there anything else I should be concered about?
