inb4 Take2 pulls out a Randy Pitchford "no microtransactions" and later "we are going to sell cosmetic items for real money"
-
What about using real money to buy stuff ingame? Can we expect anything other than a season pass/DLCs, like features that certainly impact the gameplay to be available behind a paywall?
-
Awesome! Looking forward for the game and I really hope this decision is maintained. One thing that would be great is if planetary terrain had more details.
-
Can we expect the game to be available on Steam and other digital storefronts (GMG, Epic Games, etc) on release day?
-
Yes, it does. It can be the best game in the world. I don't like how Epic Games tries to restrict our choices of where we can buy the game on, while saying they're doing this to fight a monopoly that doesn't exist. And if they announced it to be an exclusive right from the start, it wouldn't be so bad as announcing it on Steam then saying later on that it will be released first on EGS then on Steam. Just take a look at the Metro Exodus controversy and crowdfunded games that promised a Steam release but jumped to EGS after being offered a millionaire deal, breaking the promise they made to backers and also not offering refunds to those that backed the game just because it would be released on Steam.
-
I'd just like to remember that Private Division is the publisher of The Outer Worlds and they jumped ship to EGS - Obsidian developers were creating achievements on Steam when they received the (bad) news. And we still haven't seen any reply telling us that they want to release the game on different stores on launch day. I just hope that I'm wrong about this. But it's terrifying. Having no mtxs is great, but not having a solid answer about store exclusivity or Denuvo is creeping me out.
-
Are we going to be able to host our own servers? What about DRM? Will it include Denuvo or any sort of DRM?
-
That doesn't mean anything. That's what Deep Silver said before accepting Epic's deal and turning Metro into an EGS exclusive days before the official release. Releasing it on digital storefronts is a thing. But can we expect it to be available on Steam on launch day? I have a bad feeling about this.
-
What about a future Epic Games Store exclusivity deal? Are the developers/publishers going to take it or are they committing to releasing on several game stores on launch day?
-
Please, Take2 and the new developers, if you're reading this: don't mess up: - don't fill the game with stupid microtransactions. I don't care if they're cosmetic, we hate microtransactions. Loot boxes are included and also don't pull an EA on us and create a Battle Pass or charge for each piece of game expansion. we hate microtxns. - don't sell yourselves to EGS. don't make it Epic exclusive after creating a Steam page for your new game. - don't ban mods like it happened with GTA V. hopefully there's good faith in you and KSP2 will be the sequel this game deserves, and maybe the best game of the franchise.

Kerbal Space Program update 1.4 Grand Discussion thread.

What changes will 1.4.1 have for modders and when will it come out? -
PopupDialog and the DialogGUI classes
RockyTV replied to DMagic's topic in KSP1 C# Plugin Development Help and Support
Is it possible to update a string in a dialog that was already spawned? -
Honestly, I'm waiting for Valve's space program game to come out. Can't wait for it. Take2 has done a lot of damage to a big, great game that had a big modding community. There's a big chance they will kill modding for KSP as well.

That's what you get when the actual KSP dev team (the ones that made KSP what it is today) get hired by Valve.

PopupDialog and the DialogGUI classes
RockyTV replied to DMagic's topic in KSP1 C# Plugin Development Help and Support
Is there a known issue with PopupDialog and KSP x86? I've implemented it in DMP but the dialog throws a NRE if the user is using the x86 version of KSP. -
I've never messed around with docking, all the current code was done by @godarklight. If you mean jumping vessels, perhaps I could get the interpolation feature from LMP and implement it in DMP. And just a quick update: I've finally fixed an exploit related to flags. The fix is in the unstable branch, so please test it (client, server). It is compatible with 0.2.4.1, but the fix is in both client and server.

Well, in the past 2 weeks I've: Updated the disclaimer dialog style (it now fits KSP's) Fixed a bug where players would be randomly disconnected when receiving a chat message Changed the networking thread so it uses Unix time instead of Unity's realtimeSinceStartup There's a list of issues that need to be fixed/implemented in GitHub, check it out.

Career and science modes are quite buggy with DMP.

Ressucitando um tópico de 2014, um artigo do blog Polygon de 2015 confirma que o HarvesteR é brasileiro:

So... the new forums were up sometime in December 2015 and it's been an year... Still, the mobile layout is messed up. For example, I can't use the pagination (and some items are out of place), and the thread view sucks (author info occupies half screen, thread content occupies the other half) EDIT: the top right menu is almost unaccessible due to the button being too small. Can we, mobile users, get a late Christmas gift that fixes those issues?
-
Well, I don't think the issue is accessing Unity methods from constructors (we just don't access Time.realtimeSinceStartup from constructors). The only thing KSP complains about is about using Time.realtimeSinceStartup on a thread function (we spawn a thread and inside this thread's main function we call Time.realtimeSinceStartup). In case the source code helps, take a look: https://github.com/godarklight/DarkMultiPlayer/blob/b1bf1ef3d3850ffa33c624435ba0ee079f8aee73/Client/NetworkWorker.cs#L210-L307
