Fast low flying time trial up a Kerbin river. My best is gold. No $$$ for me yet. I’m not sure if under 3 minutes is possible? I’m hoping it will be easy in the Mission Builder to move the gates in River Race, and make your own course. A Munar Race, mountain race or perhaps allow your own craft? comment/bug fixed/suggestion welcome

I feel I have made a really fun aircraft time trial mission in the 1.4 Mission Builder. I want to share. Now to move 1s and 0s from one computer to another. Oo I have a choice of letterheads. Mmm nice, lots can do it. Oh they are not all compatible. They do the same thing don't they? Oh no the groups of letters in the top left corner on the cover are different. SQUAD will point me in the right direction. Curse letterhead wow. Its difficult to even view the page with the advertising spammed at the screen, chug chug, such warm feeling for the products NOT. Sign up, ba ha ha ha ha. Oh I can share Missions here. Nope cant do that either cause I'll need another different Letterhead for the 1s and 0s I wish to share to put in this letterhead but this letterhead is not compatible with that letterhead and I need to sign up to that letterhead too? Oh the kerbalX letterhead doesn't need a third party letterhead. Oh they want a photo. So I do need another letterhead to put the only picture of craft 1s and 0s under this letterhead. Score! I don't need to sign up to the picture 1s and 0s sharing letterhead. Sweet again! just copy and the paste a few characters from the only pictures 1s and 0s sharing letterhead to the only KSP 1s and 0s sharing letterhead. Doh nope. The KSP 1s and 0s sharing letterhead isn't compatible with the only picture sharing letterheads pictures 1s and 0s. i did what it said. Three clicks. Click the copy button and two clicks to paste into the box for the Picture 1s and 0s in the KSP 1s and 0s sharing letterhead. Nope. Strike 3. FLY, Build, Pull out your hair. Rant over.

The 'catch all nodes' are making me feel confused too. Not a claim a name? One of the checking for landing (splashdown in SQUADs words ) things seemed to catch when landed clamped to the pad before the 'start' but when checking for other stuff like EVA never it seems? I would like to assist but I am about as use full as retail staff trying to impress by quoting verbatim features written on the box.

River Race b.2 https://kerbalx.com/missions/27 Gold is my best. No $$$. < 3 Minutes, I'm not sure if its possible?
-
Can you copy and paste nodes in the Mission builder? If you can how do you do so? I’m on a Mac and suspect it may be require a odd key press combination.

I dont use the launcher. I Unzipped the making history folder once downloaded. Unzipped the folder in the making history folder I just unzipped. (Yep a zipped folder in a zipped folder.) Located the ‘GameData’ folder and open it. Located the ‘SquadExpansion’ folder. Copied the ‘SquadExpansion’ folder and pasted it into the KSP 1.4.1 folder called ‘GameData’. I downloaded KSP making history for MacOS from from thekerbalspaceprogram.com store. I did the above and now am building my craft for the first mission in the new making history DLC mission builder.

Why isn't delta-v exposed in Stock (yet)?
bonyetty replied to eightiesboi's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Spot on description of my Kerbal experience. I concur. Also with Slashy. And while on topic ish. Thanks Harvester for keeping Delta V out of Kerbal. -
Kerbal Space Program update 1.4 Grand Discussion thread.
bonyetty replied to UomoCapra's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I can’t get 1.4 as the login forgotten password reset is not functional from my end on the Kerbal Space Program site. -
Did you heard about that game it should be a bit like KSP
bonyetty replied to Pawelk198604's topic in The Lounge
Thanks. The physics simulation keeps me interested in KSP. This seems more like a management simulation which is not as appealing to me. -

Have you tried a different mouse? Is all I can think of trying. -
You can clip 2 tails and reverse the action of one. Assign to an action group and bingo, split tail air brake.

Also if you are in an orbit below about 150km burn prograde when the moon is rising. Keep burning until the apoapsis is the altitude of the Mun. Where you are going you don't need nodes!

Is there any skill/ ability that you still haven't mastered in KSP?
bonyetty replied to ARS's topic in KSP1 Discussion
"ARS, are you burning retrograde when in target mode (you know, the navball thing)?" this I also feel may be your problem. The black display at the top of the nav ball that shows the crafts velocity. With a target craft selected. Click on the velocity display till it says 'target'. Now it displays prograde, retrograde velocity(speed) etc relative to the target(not relative to the 'surface' or 'orbital' velocity). In 'target' mode, movement towards or away from the docking target can be canceled by thrusting with the retrograde centered in the nav ball and thrusting until it reads target 0.0m/s. Or possibly not. When I got access to, relative to target vectors it was like taking the blind folds off for me when learning to dock. I need to to learn how to time warp more so I can get out of the inner solar solar system. -
KerbalX.com - Craft & Mission Sharing
bonyetty replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Hi katateochi. It appears that imgur is not making the "direct link" easily enough for me to find. I tried a few methods suggested after a google search, like display image in a new tab and tried pasting the URL link into the Kerbalx picture window. I also tried adding "omg=" to the beginning of the URL of the picture tab "http://i.imgur.com/HnNVKoM.png" and also tried putting [ and ] at the start and end also with no success. Thanks for Kerbalx and your time assisting me. It appears that an email of my craft file that my nephew desires will be the easiest way to give it to him. Without a picture it just doesn't feel right to upload to Kerbalx for me Oh some browsing suggests that my use of safari may be over complicating this task for me. -

bonyetty replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange

KerbalX.com - Craft & Mission Sharing
bonyetty replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Thanks for Kerbalx it seems many find it useful and easy to use. I'm not able to add a picture when trying to upload one of my craft files to Kerbalx. I tried copying and pasting the imgur label in the box and also tried adding (.jpg) to the end of the imgur label once pasted. When i check to see how it is displayed to others I just see the generic picture. Please help I am obviously stupid and need some. -
Fixing a design mistake
bonyetty replied to canisin's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
You did a smart thing. That particular lab with the grey and black end ring installed is a BSL-4 (biosafety level 4) orbital laboratory. You don't want that directly attached to the habit module. OH&S concerns require kerbals to transfer via EVA only. -
Why are people turning aerobrakes the wrong way?
bonyetty replied to Sokar408's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Ya all are doing it wrong. Air breaks ha, they're actuators. -
Congratulations and condolences as I don't believe there is a Kerbals Anonymous. I've been consuming physics, engineering, and general space stuff in a variety of formats since my first double click on Jeb. Slow constant sipping of literature, video and image shots when I can sneak a quick one in. It has been 4 hours 23 minutes since I unplugged the computer. I can't click that button. Hay SQUAD I can't quit I don't want to quit. STOP asking if I'm sure I want to quit. Have some consideration to sufferers. I'm rambling and becoming unpleasant to others I feel. So thanks forum contributors it's nice to know I'm not alone.

Reasons Having No Probe Control?
bonyetty replied to KerbalNetwork's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Don't stare at the sun you will go blind. A screen shot with the sun behind the point of view of the camera should light up your satellite better for all so see. Also have the headsup displaying as well showing as the HUD top left will show the strength of the signal back to Kerbin and other useful info about the situation. -
Reasons Having No Probe Control?
bonyetty replied to KerbalNetwork's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
My guess is that your craft is lacking a antenna or an antenna insufficient to communicate with kerbin or a near by relay satellites. Or it's out of power. If this is no help possibly post a screen shot of your craft it can often help forum members wanting to assist. -
fuel cheat - sort of...
bonyetty replied to GeorgePauley's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Put your mine and refinery on minimus and fuel your interplanetary ships on mimimus surface. It takes stuff all deltaV to get to orbit there. It's something fun, different and not cheating. -
Stayputniks (round probe core) in the structural fuselage (1m hollow cylinder). Widgets and stack separators will be useful. You should be able to pull some views with a video of it done.

Hi MissMolly. I am playing KSP 1.3 on my mac with no problems at all. As a computer doofus all I can offer as help is what i did to down load, install and play. I purchased KSP from the SQUAD website. I downloaded the iOS version to the download folder. I double clicked the KSP zip file to unzip it. I right clicked the unzipped KSP folder and copied it to my desktop. I opened the KSP folder on the desktop. I launched the game by double clicking on the picture of the kerbal (not the launcher one). KSP started in windowed mode and ran great, faster and smother than 1.2. Hope this helps.
