  1. I wonder how many times this has been asked in this very same thread. At least a dozen times I guess. But to answer your question: As far as I know no(t yet).
  2. Not when you're wearing safety boots.
  3. You indeed negate the fuel loss by refuelling but in return you will loose about the same amount through inefficiency. Add to that the cost of getting that fuel in a high orbit in the first place .... A direct burn from LKO to a Jool intercept costs roughly 2000m/s dV: 1000m/s to leave Kerbins SOI and another 1000m/s to intercept Jool. Split this in two by first going from LKO to a solar orbit, then burn for a Jool intercept you'll spend a total of roughly 3000m/s: 1000m/s to leave Kerbins SOI and about 2000m/s to intercept Jool.
  4. I unleashed some google-fu on the web and found many news sites with this story. But to my surprise when I checked http://www.spacex.com/ I found literally nothing anywhere closely related to this CATO (Catastrophe At Take-Off).
  5. If your main objective is to refuel ships I'd say stay low. Thanks to the Oberth effect starting your interplanetary burn from a low orbit is much more efficient than doing it from a high orbit. (I am not going to explain Oberth here as there are already dozens of topics explaining it in detail.) Refuelling in a high orbit is just not worth the effort.

  7. ALL HAIL THE NECROMANCER I didn't expect you to fall for a necro-post Kasuha. But ... you are correct: [Alt]+[F5] to save, [Alt]+[F9] to load.
  8. Or flew into a mountain? Or clipped a wing while buzzing the tower a bit too close?
  9. I don't know how but I am convinced vBulletin can auto-replace texts. Look what's currently happening when you quote an image (thanks to an extra plugin). The tag is replaced with an tag. Even replacing an :emoticon: tag with the actual image is a simple behind the scenes text replacement. Could be worth if an admin would ask around on the vBulletin Forum.
  10. This must be one of the best ideas I've seen on this forum in a long, long time. A solution as elegant as it is easy to implement. Absolutely brilliant!
  11. Minmus Shipyard Currently under 'construction' in bay alpha: Jool II, interplanetary explorer.
  12. Finished my shipyard around Minmus. High time to start building my interplanetary design. Too bad it's too late to profit from my current Jool window.
  13. I've seen this exact same behaviour several times myself. But I still have no idea what's causing it. Switching to and from the map screen resets the camera but it doesn't solve it. As soon as camera views change (manual or automatic) the camera zooms out again. Changing views multiple times can zoom the camera out to unimaginable distances. Sometimes this weird behaviour resolved itself after I changes ships but usually I had to restart the game to get rid of it. Could be mod related cause I do run a bucket load of them.
  14. You might want to consider installing Custom Biomes. It won't give you more to do on the surface but it does give you a reason to go to different places.
  15. It's probably you. It's a classic example of Pareidolia.
  16. Or rip the shuttle to shreds when you ignite them.
  17. In this case I guess it's a total lack of control. His rocket has no control surfaces and the S1 SRB KD25k's have no thrust vectoring. The torque from a single MK1 command pod is not nearly enough to keep a tall thing rocket like that on course.

    Which one?

That's not Regex' fault, he did not add the poll. KasperVld did. I HIGHLY doubt SQUAD is going to add MechJeb to the stock game. They have clearly stated on multiple occasions they do NOT want a stock autopilot.

    Which one?

Personally I lean towards one of three things: * FAR/NEAR: What I can remember from what's been said over the last year SQUAD does want to improve aerodynamics. * EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements: This has made so much difference visually. * Dark Multiplayer: Haven't tried it myself but from what I've seen it does work. (Still think MP is a bad choice in this stage of development. But that's my personal opinion.)
  20. You could go even simpler and easier: Flags.
  21. And what would that achieve? Even more weight and even more drag! Without an improved aerodynamics model like FAR or NEAR nose cones are utterly useless and only serve as eye candy.
  22. No way that's the result of a regular crash. Not nearly enough (e.g. none) blood inside the helmet.
