  1. I don't have images to hand, unfortunately... Recently, I've started playing with armour and standardized torpedo sizes. My conclusions are that any 2.5m missile and heavy 1.25m weapons will play merry hob with just about anything... so, I've started messing with small-scale weapons and armour. Seems to me that trying to absorb or tank huge torpedoes is ineffective and mass-inefficient. However, you can build your armour to absorb or (preferably) bounce small torpedoes and missiles, as precise aiming is tough and angled armour can bounce a lot. I'll try and dig up my older destroyer or frigate designs with the angled armour. They'll fold up like cheap lawn chairs versus 1.25m+ weapons, I'll bet, but it's not meant to take those.
  2. Version .18, and it was... a little messy. I had buggered up my deorbit and descent, and was descending at only ~10m/s... with 35m/s horizontal velocity. Totally inteltional lithobraking ensued. Wierdly, the wreck still has one side pod and the central launch stage. It did, kind of, return to Kerbin, albiet with a little bit of help from Jeb pushing.
  3. Also, holy cheesus that scanner dish is huge. I can see putting it on the nose of a mothership - or station, or repurposed Tug - but probes? You need at least 20% more probe per probe. As a plane builder, though, the new aerodynamics made me squee (and push several planes to the redline lf their part-heating tolerances). Hooray for transsonic at 500 meters. Nice to see the indomitable Brotoro plans on continuing the mission. And now Hellou gets to play with magic rocks that can apparently be converted into... well, anything propulsive. Yay! \o/
  4. The railgun comes from an entirely seperate mod - one for Minecraft, actually - and yes, it can punch holes in reality. Not quite as reality-warping as the Derpcannon, but it can still blap things like mad.
  5. So it begins... Good luck with this! But without SuperEngineer Bob, I fear to see how parts will break.
  6. Should be good readin' for Nelemy-Dude then. And Brotoro's ability to back a huge amount of equipment into a fairly small flotilla continues to amaze me.
  7. Agreeing with Aldner, personally: gotta go fast. But slow has its advantages. Nice to see The Crew get together for another run. Plus one, it seems. (I muwt say, the DunaDog roverplanes are .... as hell.)
  8. It's happening! Should be interesting to see how Duna compares to Laythe. No liquid water, more mountains and craters, bllody big and annoying moon overhead... Damn you, IkeGood luck on Duna!
  9. If the DunaPlane is an ion-powered VTOL, it will be amazing. If it's a Mainsail-powered VTOL, Aldner will cry tears of pure joy.
  10. Mun circumnavigqtion by walker? ..Engineer Bill won't be bored this run, I bet. (Unless it's unkerballed... but that's a tad boring, no?)
  11. And now we just need to wait until the Kerbals figure out FTL drives. Excellent story, all round. 10/10 would read again.
  12. Enterprise's crew: hoopy froods who know where their towels are.
  13. Yay! Final flag, landers leaving, Lengas losing it, added allierative appeal, and the voyage home. This whole thing is the biggest Star Trek reference ever.
  14. Moving into "They said I was mad but I will show them" territory here. I can dig it.
  15. Aaaaand there's the pirates. On the upside? A reaction drive's efficiency as a weapon is in direct proportion to its efficiency as a drive.
  16. Here's hoping Lengas doesn't lose it from the semi-isolation. Maybe chat with Control regularly? Gud werk, comrade.
  17. Pol and Bop are obviously ejected from Jool, or something. How else could they be so eldritch?
  18. Hmmmm.... Not warp drive, but the next best thing.
  19. KSC has a fire at the same time Prograde City shuts off comms? :suspicous: But hey, good chapter! Poor Squishy D:
  20. He looks a wee bit tipsy. Oooh, what do we do with the drunken Kerbal,
