Same here. But so far, only 25% of my long term missions have been due to a "mission plan revision". I have lost no kerbals in my main save for a while. There was one that vanished when I decided to remove a few old mods, but he'll turn up.

Is it a bird? Is it a train? It's Steath Rover! Na-na na-na na-na na-na na-na Stealth Rover! (omnomnom memorial) Carries two operatives, and allows concealed observation of your suroundings! No one will ever know! However, it is recommended that the Stealth Rover is piloted in such a way that a minimum of three of the four wheel pairs remain on the structure. Detachment of wheel pairs may result in loss of functionality.

I must have been away for too long. Nothing sus.... Nobody panic. No invasion here. (Dun dun dun!)
-
Now that's a much better rocket for a paper Jeb. Mixing him with a real one might be bad.
-
This is looking cool. Makes me think of a necklace.
-
Just as I decide to visit the forum... Maybe I'll view the highlights later.

I play with a fairly slow style, which means I tend not to warp more than a month at most.
-
Agreed. It's a case of missing the point.

Really Big Rescue Mission
Tw1 replied to The Jedi Master's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I wonder if you could to it with one launch. Perhaps build a big, fuel filled nuclear engined command module, with a tiny little one man/probe core based, single stage Mun lander. This must have a docking port- probably not RCS, as the CM has that. Maybe use EVA seats to minimise weight. The minimalist lander can be refueled from the CM, so it can land twice. Oh, ninja'd look "great minds think alike" or whatever. The Starfighters link in my sig is about a multi kerbal rescue, (and at the end of the thread is a link to another), but those kerbals were not that far apart, so the situation may not be comparable. Edit: Re-reading that myself, looks like you already did read that. -
Oh noes! Did he die?

Hang on, that was poorly phrased my me. Not related to the techniques used to create clipping forces that most kraken drives depend on. The difference is in what's providing the force- part of the ship, or a kerbal, technically a separate 'vessel". However, as you don't actually invoke the power of the power of the kraken, I'm reluctant to call it a kraken drive. Perhaps it could be considered a sub-type. My experiments seem to show that no force is put on the ladder as a kerbal moves. This frame has little mass, it should turn when the kerbal moves. But it does not, he moves around it. This was more apparent in the game- the gif is less clear. Using KAS, I can make a traditional clipping type kraken drive with a kerbal on a ladder: But this is less controllable than ladder a ladderdrive, and the kerbal falls of if you increase the clipping forces:

It has too! http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Kraken_Drive. My own ladderlift propulsion systems have not been effected, but then, I've concluded that bug is unrelated.

[Updated September 27th] A Planet Divided: The Story of the Kold War
Tw1 replied to NQMT's topic in KSP Fan Works
A new dimension.. very clever. -
It launched from Kerbin under its own power, so it has the TWR. But its really not built for landings. Way too long and thin.
-
Plus, isn't it out of landers?
-
Probably the successful development of Ladderlift infinite travel frame technology. Tada! Superlight Eve accents possible. Though you'd need a lander to get it safely down, and something different to get you home after you achieve orbit.

This is awesome. I haven't played spore, but.. Eat fruits! And maybe make it fatter?

I once sent this to the Mun to move a base ten kilometers after it landed in the wrong spot. Sadly, details were lost in last years's Great Forum Glitch (*shudders at the name*). So instead, have some images of its big brother, which probably didn't leave Kerbin. If it did, I don't recall. Another "odd" mission, which made sense in the situation, was that of the Mantis Shrimp Climbing rover. I drove up and down a near vertical cliff again and again. It was a test for a Moho mohole mission, which I still might do someday. Maybe once it has biomes. Here's a concisified version:

Welcome to the KSP forum! That's quite the cute little probe you've got there. Very stylish.

Oh noes! What a tragedy!

That's interesting. From the use of it as (ironically outdated) slang for Modern, as in current, "up to date"? In video game context, it's more short for modification (a change). Technically, it is also a noun, meaning it can't really have an opposite. But enough linguistically babble. I ended up dropping hybrid ions once it started changing its models- I wanted to stick to stock engines only, and this would save memory. I did keep some of the origional larger electic equipment though. I also recently dropped TTmultiwheels- it wasn't getting much use, then the version I had became outdated and broke, and I decided to use the memory for something else. The ones I won't do without are Lack Luster Labs, an older version of Spherical and Toroidal Tanks and Extraplanetary Launchpads, as these make up my moon bases. Also, the Boat Propeller is essential to my AAR. KAS is the most useful mod ever, that's staying. Umm, lots of others too?

Decided to try and draw/trace a kerbal in GIMP. After adding colour, turning the image I was tracing from back on gave somewhat creepy results. Without the underlay, though the shading is incomplete, and will stay that way as it crashed.

Not bad, not bad. If I may offer my critique, the line between the mountains and the sand dunes is a little abrupt. Blending them might make things a little extra convincing. Also, are those rocks flying in the wind? I'm not sure.
