A reminder that war is a tricky topic that can lead into present-day politics, which then devolves into arguments. I have no problem with the thread (I find it quite interesting to read), but please be careful when discussing politics

I have a grand total of 724 (And counting!) hours on Europa Universalis IV. It's great fun, but it will certainly suck you in.

I wont be around for awhile I have some sad news ...
Rainbowtrout replied to Cdr_Zeta's topic in The Lounge
No one deserves to lose anyone to cancer. I am so sorry for your loss. I know words can't fix problems like these, but you'll be in my thoughts. -
KSP runs better for me on W10 than it did on 8.1. Same goes for most games that I own, but I don't have your two mentioned games so I can't input on that.
-
Minmus and the Mun are probably my favourite places in all of KSP. Granted, it is probably because I suck at anything remotely interplanetary. But how can you deny the salt flats?

Kerbal Space Program 1.1 Hype Train Thread.

+1 for making me exhale through my nose a bit. I think it's time for me to start (accidentally) stranding kerbals once again! (The graphic that we have on steam now. Aptly titled update! :P) -

I have the update downloading on steam. No prerelease, and a 400mb update for KSP. http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/steven-universe/images/d/d8/Its_happening.gif/revision/latest?cb=20150712203058 -
(I mostly play sandbox) 1. Progress realistically. No immediately jumping to Eeloo. 2. Don't kill kerbals on purpose. 3. Rockets must look real.

Kerbal Space Program 1.1 Hype Train Thread.
Rainbowtrout replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Why would you do that when the Hype Train could achieve a hyperbolic trajectory any moment now*? *Do not follow this advice, I doubt that the release will happen today, with all of these bugs that need to be fixed. Essays are important. Do essay. -

More like cc. C'mon. Step it up. -
Reminder that politics is a tricky topic, so please keep the rules in mind.

Buy it. I only have 30 hours on it but it's really good. If you can run it, don't hesitate to pick it up, ideally in a sale.
-
Currently cold because of wind, but a bit warm when the sun is shining. Looks like we're past rain*. *: Only for a few days though. UK weather, smh

Your computer setup (and any funny stuff about it)
Rainbowtrout replied to Ogcorp Squirrel's topic in The Lounge
Currently I have a prebuilt. Its (slightly) redeeming features are an i3 3240 @ 3.4GHz, a Radeon 6670 2GB, and 8GB of DDR3 RAM. Nothing too special, but it can run KSP, Skylines, etc. quite well on Medium. Somehow, it runs GTA V on *just* above lowest settings @ 30-50 FPS. I'll likely upgrade it some time this year, probably to an i5 and a GTX 900 series or something. I want to play GTA at a higher graphics setting than old-gen consoles, and also I want to play Fallout 4. -
Moved this one over to the Kerbal Network, the place for all discussions about the forum.

Its best feature is the canyon, and maybe a few craters. Aside from that, it is (As mentioned by others before) just like the Mun and Ike, but with no nice planet to look at. Edit: I guess you can use it as a service station on the way to more interesting destinations if you want.
-
1. Yes, but IIRC, it is hidden underground so you cannot listen to it. 2. Yep, this is the pic: 3. Could be :¬) 4. No idea.

What was your first post on the KSP forums?
Rainbowtrout replied to RA3236's topic in Kerbal Network
"Going to start an Eeloo colony eventually. Or Duna" To this day, I have done neither. Inspiring. -
I'm playing a lot of Garry's Mod with friends at the moment. Didn't help that yesterday my internet had a senior moment, with the ping reaching 900(!). Aside from that, Europa Universalis IV, GTA V, CSGO, sometimes a bit of Skyrim. Recently I picked up MW2, and it will probably screw up my aiming on GO forever.

I forgot to board in time! Can I just run into a carriage as the train leaves the station? -
I always like hearing about younger people being interested in KSP, and space in general. It's better than other games that kids often play, teaches children rational thinking, and helps them develop an interest in space. Maybe when they grow up NASA will get more funding

The stages of ksp (Looking back on our favorite game.)
Rainbowtrout replied to daniel l.'s topic in KSP1 Discussion
I'm certainly a fan of it. They could add it again, but only if you have the starting launchpad or something. -
I'm a fan of Windows 7, but I'm currently using Windows 10 and I do quite like it. It looks nice, and functions well enough.
