Aircraft SAS control surface twitchy
DChurchill replied to Thingymajigy's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
That's what I was thinking. -
That happens to me, too. And when it does, If I go back to KSP and look in the Astronaut Complex, there are no kerbals in there, either for hire or assigned. Restarting the game fixes it. Might be a bug. Do playing modded or stock?
-
This X1,000. Here's the thing, if you want a feature and it's not in the game, there's probably a mod for it. "It should be stock" or "I only want to play stock" is not a valid answer. Why? Because you are not the only person that plays this game, and just because you think something should be stock doesn't mean that the rest of us do. Unless there's a large majority of people thinking a feature should be stock, then it probably shouldn't be. The beauty of this game, and why it's still got such a loyal following, is because, and I firmly believe this, SQUAD has embraced the modding community to enhance it's product.

OK, 10 seconds.

This. It does it to me too. Patience, grasshopper. Give it a second.

[1.12.X] Kerbal Planetary Base Systems v1.6.15 [28. April 2022]
DChurchill replied to Nils277's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I was looking though the thread and no one else was reporting it. I figured it was something on my end, so i didn't really bother with logs. I removed the old version and then updated to the new one and the issue seems to be gone. I'm not sure what the cause was. You could rotate around all axes, but you couldn't change it's velocity at all. It started with the KSP update from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3. In any case, the problem is gone. -

I don't suppose this involved not being able to apply any dV to a craft with the central hub in it? -
Why does this rocket always flips?
DChurchill replied to montferrer's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Best answer. You need gimbals and/or fins for stability.- 9 replies

33. Mentioning your name of your craft like the rest of us are supposed to know what it even looks like. "I was orbiting Eeloo in the Eludium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator when . . . "

DChurchill replied to Parv Kerman's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
With some sort of rocket propelled vehicle, generally. -

I have a class C at 1M and a class A out past Minmus somewhere, but I haven't done a thing with them but park them. I've been meaning to mine them, but I haven't gotten around to it.

Check Near Future Spacecraft. Has exactly the thing you want.

Poodle is a solid choice, I just hate the way it looks. Looks like a mouthpice on a trumpet or something, not a rocket engine.

Gonna go with this. +1

Oh, the kerbmanity.

A correctly configured re-entry vehicle will, too. Hands-free. -
Does ANYONE remember the old way to play KSP?
DChurchill replied to Yobobhi's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I have this with every game that I enjoy as much as KSP. Any of the Fallouts, any of the Elder Scrolls. All the Mass Effects. Any game I come back to after I've worn it out. -
I've had to use RCS to get back into the atmosphere, but never from a backpack. Does and EVA rendezvous from the surface of Gilly count?

Do you have a screenshot that makes you laugh every time?

No idea whatsoever.
