  3. I have an xbox 360 controller that I can use with my PC, but I don't know how to set it up with KSP? what's most optimal layout? can someone help me pls?? anyone here who has a already made layout? and also, I have xpadder if that helps
  4. Lol, it's not unpainted, they painted it white, and white doesn't mean its unpainted. If you are talking about the External Tanks, the big tanks which are color orange. they painted it white during the first two missions, to provide some protection, but they later found out that it is Ok to not have protection, so they stopped painting it, also to reduce weight. on topic: Most of the spacecrafts have an important reason as to why they are colored that way. Not for aesthetics, but for real purpose, protection, shielding, detection, reflectiveness, etc

I kinda disagree with this, I don't know, but I actually wanted a more uniform color, KSP has too many varieties and when putting too many stuff your crafts will look ugly as hell with the rainbow colors I wanna make it kinda like spacecrafts in real life, the Dragon Spacecraft, Soyuz, Apollo, the ISS, Space shuttle. They all have their color, white, black, silver, gray, light blue. for me that's awesome. Like these pics EDIT: Maybe we can have a paintjob feature of sort, kinda like how in the sims, you can paint every furniture with different textures to your liking

Task manager ram usage, and the one above he said , "as long as your computer can handle" is wrong, the limit for KSP right now is 3.5Gb, it is a software bottleneck. even If you have a NASA PC, you will still crash if you put 3.5gb worth of mods I myself have a i7 at 4.5Ghz, 8GB ram and Radeon HD 6870, but it still crashes when I put too many mods, Yeah you could theoretically run as many mods as you can as long as your PC can handle it, but the software will crash at 3.5gb ram usage anyway, before you even reach the hardware limit
  7. Awesome trailer, The music is beautiful, it is from the cloud atlas trailer if I remember. I liked that movie as well.
  8. As long as KSP don't reach the 3.5 Gb of ram usage. doesn't matter how much ram you got, as long as you get more than 3.5gb for KSP.exe, you will crash. I had tons of mod, before, when I start the game it is already around 3.2 gb, a little bit of playing and I would get past 3.5gb and It will crash. I reduced the textures to half, and it's now using 2.2 gb, and doesn't crash anymore, and I got more room for mods!
  9. yes, maybe even better in game, we could name things for our own personal taste, we can already rename ships to our own liking, why not name specific places?, its our own career after all. If we scan the map it would display a flat panel map to use, and we can divide the areas as we wish and name them. ofcourse not official, its just for own games. I'm having fun naming my ships already, what more if you can name areas! and as for the community naming, I'm up for it

  11. Well it's not like your gonna blow up or anything if you've missed the mun, orbiting the sun is one of the most common results if one should do a similar thing to what you've done. Now what's more impressive is not landing on a sun orbiting trajectory, but actually intersecting another planet
  12. If anything, it provides space exploration some exposure, It's not Hollywood's fault stock space is boring for the masses, so they have to mod it. It is entertainment anyway, not a documentary. I love space, I know stuffs about it, But I still enjoy movies like this.
  13. Is a single stage to orbit and vertical takeoff and vertical landing small rocket capable of carrying up to 3 crew possible? If anyone has made one, modded or not, please share it, it would be awesome if I can control it with mechjeb, at least the orbiting part

Hi guys, I just wanna show my newly built space station(my first one) around Kerbin, It's composed of around 500 parts and It is very big! it can support 63 crews (9 kerbals currently on station) here is the full construction album (19 pictures) http://imgur.com/a/jkdye I did not use any hyperedit or orbital construction in this. here the solar panels are perpendicular to the modules here the solar panels are parallel to the modules

Nice suggestion, I have a similar idea, If for example I wanna get a mission to duna or any other planet, ofcourse I would need alot of delta-v just to get out of kerbin, So I just launch from kerbin with a small ship, with just enough delta-v to get to mun, but not for duna, then proceed refuel it at the mun station(with fuel from kethane) To easily get extra delta-v with more delta-v, I can head straight to other planets, seems like a nice method. Any more suggestions?

  19. I'm asking this because I had just installed the mod and I am not finding any reasons to start mining operations on the mun. Because If I needed fuel I can just launch tanks from Kerbin. So tell me guys how do you play kethane? Do you roleplay pretending to sell these resources back on Kerbin? Do you restrict yourself into only using kethane converted fuel once you set up a decent mining colony? Do you have some sort of other mods that makes it interesting to mine kethane? or what? Please give me a reason I really wanna do some mining also: how do I place the kethane drilling unit? I can't seem to attach it almost anywhere

Well, I was pointing out that this mod is for land bases only if i'm not mistaken, and orbital cons. is for space bases, maybe "deep space bases", so If I can combine two mods, I pretty much can place a construction colony anywhere. Think about it, for example, I have KSC, then a Space Center(this mod) on Duna, then orbiting Duna I have an orbital construction base floating somewhere What if I wanted to create a 400 ton super ship?Or what if i'm having a hard time launch a 180 ton ship on Duna? I could mine for ore, then deliver it as spaceparts from the Duna ground base, to the Duna Orbital Spacestation. and proceed to make it That would be very interesting. Kinda adds a "logisctics and supply" experience on the other hand I am really excited for this mod, If anyone can help, please do so! this would be awesome
  21. I don't think any kind spaceplane can launch a 90 ton space station unless you use insane sized parts from mods It's best to use a rocket, Spaceplanes have never been good with huge payloads
  22. I have an idea = anti-hydrogen + anti-oxidizer reacting with normal rocket propellant = Hyperdrive!!! lol jk. I would say anti-hydrogen, its the best fuel for me, and we are already very familiar in using hydrogen so it would be easier
