  1. Yeah The last taper is the payload fairing. I used the large adaptor for the first taper and then Radial tanks to make a third tank size for the Third stage. Added around 15 parts. Everyone makes allowances for their own craft I guess Could you make a launch video? Having made my own interstage ring and I'm keen to See how you did it. MJ
  2. Hi Rune, I may have commented on this one before.. It's a decent apollo craft. It is lacking the three Size differences of the real ones profile though. Do your fairings release from the decoupler? And into how many pieces? Also, why did you place the first stage fins In between the engine fairings? I have one that's very near completion also using Skippers. She takes off satisfyingly slowly! Keep up the good work mate! MJ
  3. If you turn the Kerbodyne S3-3600 Tank upside down the black lines will line up with the ones on the Kerbodyne S3-14400 Tank. MJ
  4. Hi Gus, I thought I had edited that comment of mine. I thought it sounded a little blunt. And that was not my intention. Aaaanyway, I have some really simple methods now for effective separating fairings of most sizes. I will post them to your OSCTCA thread when I have time. MJ
  5. LOOL I have totally lost my own post.. Have at it chaps, I'm out. MJ
  6. The first time I got into space was very magical but beaten by my first mun landing. That was my favorite gaming moment in over 25 years of gaming. MJ
  7. Wow I had forgotten about this thread. I wonder why its suddenly resurfaced? This was my first ever Eve attempt. It was quite early in my KSP history so be nice. MJ
  8. I never used part clipping until I saw what was possible with it. Most good looking rockets could not be built without it. I also see a lot of people posting here who use mods and yet say clipping is cheating. MJ
  9. Hmmm, Ive done it with the TR-18D stack Seperator on a Skipper in 23.5 I'm going to devote a few hours to this soon. And write up exactly whats doable and whats not. MJ
  10. Yes this is very sad indeed. I had this happen so often that I now make two back-up saves. The bug will bite soon and it will be easy this time. Good luck Mulbin! MJ
  11. Yeah it works in the new version. I have already used it in my in progress Apollo. Watch the video and try placing the parts in different order. Try each decoupler. It does work so don't let it frustrate you. A little stoicism goes a long way in KSP. MJ
  12. Hi Rune. You really should use the technique I discovered to remove the stock fairings. That way you wont have the separation splosion. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/43086-Open-Source-Construction-Techniques-for-Craft-Aesthetics?p=985631&viewfull=1#post985631 I do love the rover deployment!! Its a decent Apollo Rune. I would like to have seen you try to make separating fairings for the lander though. MJ
  13. Hi Comrade Jenkins, This project has definite promise, I will keep and eye on this. A few things I noticed from the pics, I see you used the wing parts to widen the lower stages. This gives the rocket a hexagon type shape. I think this doesn't look as nice a smooth looking stage. Also the interstage panel fairing needs work to remove those unsightly gaps. This is clearly early stage in development so keep up the good work and you will have a very pretty rocket. MJ
  14. Yeah this is a problem. I don't think many people will find Mapping fun. If you're going to a planet you should know what's there. I think telescopes are enough. MJ
  15. I would love to have telescopes to discover the planets. It could even be a kind of mini game. MJ
  16. Yeah I went up a different set. They are actually higher Than the one in the op. MJ
  17. Ok so with around 9.5k mps that's mostly one way trips right? Which bodies have you been to and returned from With this ship?
  18. Hi Rune, Impressive looking machine there. Can you list the places it can go to and return from? MJ
  19. Yeah you should pull the asteroid. Its a much more stable way to change its velocity. MJ
  20. SWEEEEEEET! Thanks squad you guys rock!
