  1. This could be it. LOL I cant take this anymore.
  2. Challenge complete. They wont break any speed records.. The smaller of the two, the SKR-1, made it in around 2:30 and the bigger one, the KR-1, in around 2:23. Here are the pics: SKR-1 KR-1 This was fun! MJ
  3. NOPE. Its 1st April.. No patch today.
  4. He he I have two manned rovers that can climb the stairs at the KSC. The SKR-1 And my Dragon rovers I will post the climb pictures later today. MJ
  5. WOW. I like this very much. My dropship is very early WIP. Its something I've wanted for ages though. Does your dropship have a post I can look at? MJ
  6. Yeah good idea Giggleplex. I had this fuel flow bug too. Clipped parts sharing fuel.
  7. Yeah its perfect for that! Or just about any small lander! MJ
  8. That would be awesome Woopert! Normal rover cautions apply. Watch speed during hill decents. SAS on at all times, ect. Let me know when its up! MJ
  9. Hi all, Today I am releasing a three rover set. These three rovers are the result of a lot of testing on tiny rovers. They have been given the designations: KR-1, KR-2, KR-3. The test drivers simply call them the "Dragons" Most likely due to their lizard head appearance and the solar panel 'tail'. I have tested all three versions of the rover on Kerbin the Mun and Duna. The single seater is best suited to Kerbin driving although with care it can easily handle the above two bodies. The Two and three seater versions are best suited to the Mun and Duna. They are limited on Kerbin by the inherent weaknesses of the small rover wheels. Although they will handle Kerbin driving with ease. Here we can see the first ever delivery of the KR-2. Done in style by my secret drop-ship. The rovers can operate in fully autonomous mode. Whilst Jeb is risking life and limb for fun it seems like a good opportunity to show the junior docking port on the underside of the rovers. On the Mun. On Duna. Here you can see the "Dragon tail" solar array. All three versions lined up together. If you like them and decide to give them a go, you will discover this in the VAB: This will allow you to easily test the rovers and also as they are not the primary part you can easily make sub-assemblies of them. The antenna are ACTION GROUP 1 The solar panels are ACTION GROUP 2 There we have it. Thanks for looking. 10. Amazing work mate! Ive seen alot of stock detailed cars but these are by far the best. Each one is perfect! MJ
  11. No, Mr. Check, you've just seen what it is like *not* to be damned. MJ
  12. If your building stock you can eliminate the stock fairings that are applied automatically by using my method here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/43086-Open-Source-Construction-Techniques-for-Craft-Aesthetics?p=985631&highlight=fairing#post985631 MJ
  13. I didn't know that! Wow, what a beast! It would have been so magical to see this this for real.
  14. I think I have one stage too many. or, wait... First stage 25 motors in mine- RL 30 second stage 8 motors " RL 8 Third stage 4 motors " RL 4 Forth stage (block G) 1 motor " RL 1 Block D crasher stage 4 motors" RL 1 So, I have all stages! MJ
  15. Possibly Giggleplex. As I said before, I wasn't going for 100% accuracy. Its got plenty of fuel and is easy to fly. I did think I got all the stages though.. Which one do you think is missing? MJ
  16. Thanks Woopert. Yeah the LK used the same engine for decent and ascent. And left a shell with the legs attached. I have been picking and choosing Russian space program type stuff for this one so as designed its not 100% accurate. My LK uses the same engines for decent and ascent though. Im gunna post a few vids tomorrow of the launch and rover and such. MJ
  17. Thanks Tada! Of all my craft that little buggy is probably my favorite! It will climb stairs to the roofs around the KSC! MJ
  18. Hi all, I am very happy to have finished my Russian style Mun rocket, N1-K. It is a detailed N1 rocket with the equivalent of the LOK and LK modules. I don't like to type so I will describe the craft in pictures. Here it is in the VAB. weighing in at around 720 parts on the pad. I haven't used launch clamps as it adds a few more parts and it launches fine without them! Let the physics kick in, throttle up and then press T. When you pass 200 Mps start a slow controlled turn east to 45 degrees. The first stage as it empties needs control inputs. Allow the first stage to deplete then hit the next stage. That little pop is the separator. No need to panic lads. Then again for the escape tower core. Turn the rocket ever closer to the horizon as the speed increases. The stage will deplete and you will be in a high arc of around 140,000M. Staging time, this next stage will separate the nosecone and payload fairing. Use the now active third stage to circularize your orbit. Ditch the third stage and use the next stage to shoot for the Mun. Create a direct intersect then ditch the stage. The separated stage will impact the Mun. So perform a correcting maneuver to put you into a save approach. I usually put the Lok and LK into a 10,000 by 11,000 orbit. It makes docking back easier. Now transfer over the kosmonaught to the lander and decouple from the LOK. Use the crasher stage below the lander to slow you as much as it can, then detach it. The lander decent stage has more than enough to put you safely down on the Mun. Here Jeb made a textbook landing and proceed to plant the flag of the United Kerbin Space Agency. Also, not forgetting, the rover. Released from the back of the ascent stage. The rover has an unlimited daytime range and a dark range of around 5km. Once youve had enough Mun fun, head back to the lander and hit the next stage. Then throttle up to meet the orbiting LOK. Then use the LOK engines to shoot you home! oh, ditch the ascent stage first and make sure the Kerbal is not inside! When entering Kerbin atmosphere separate the tri-modules. Deploy the chutes when not on fire. Feel awsome! Well that's it. Thanks for looking and let me know how you get on. 19. Me again, I have been building my N1, which is now complete! I discovered that it is possible to remove the fairing using a small stack separator. A variation of the technique I showed in the above post. It is tricky to get it to do this but worth the tiny hassle. Give it a go! MJ
  20. Thanks John FX. Ive been distracted by my N1 project but I have made some nice changes to this too. Will post it when done. MJ
