Hi all, I am currently building a MIR in orbit in the same order as in RL. I have all the modules built, Soyuz TMA is done as is the Soyuz FG launcher. Its looking great and when its done I would love to have a shuttle dock with it too. Ive seen many different shuttles on here and would like to choose one to use. So all you heavy hitters, show me what you got!! MJ

Thats exactly what I thought. This happened completely by accident on my Selene apollo craft. No fairing between the lander engine and second stage. Im so happy I rediscovered it as I had no idea how it happened! It must work with smaller engines and decouplers. MJ

Hi all, I have discovered how to attach a stack separator to an engine and have it not apply a faring. I think this will be great to use with the fairing release methods I have seen discussed in this thread. Here is a video that shows how its done. MJ

Ive been thinking about this Gus. I think the cubic struts with backwards solar panels is the only fairing that would fit. Give it a go. MJ

Hi all, Does anyone know how to save KSP to multiple HDD? I regularly back up my saves to three HDs but I am getting tired of doing it manually. Is there any way to do this? MJ

Yeah do this. I know the feeling Gus. There are only a few decent fairing methods. Ibeams, bad: very heavy and part intensive, tricky to make. Good: Look great if done well. Panels, bad: ugly and too damn square. Good: lightweight and easy to assemble. cubic struts and backwards stuff, bad: very part intensive. Good: lightweight and look good if done well. Ladders? Ive never tried this. Backward solar panels? also never tried it. It would be a bit part intensive but shouldn't weigh too much and could look quite good. I cant think of any others atm. See if you can come up with a new solution Gus. MJ *Edit* I used cubic struts and backwards stuff for my Micro Apollo. But 1250 parts is just silly..

I'm not sure of the exact details: An i7 @ 4.0GHZ A GTX 580 SC 16Gb system ram KSP is on my SSD. Performance is very good unsurprisingly. anything over 600 parts starts to lag a bit. Settings are all maxed. MJ

Ignoring the pedants, we are of course discussing water craft. Squad made an exploration game. Why make 75% of a planet 'un-explorable'? Use your noodles folks. Water craft will get some kind of attention from Squad. At the very least they will change the water physics. MJ

Hi, Ive been to all planets and moons except Tylo. I always enjoy those long duration mission as the moment you arrive is always magical. Despite this the most fun I have had was a mission on Kerbin. To design a water craft to take Capt_Sugglers fuel truck to the island runway: Not an easy proposition. Heres how I did it: The engineering challenge and then the 1.5 hour cruise to the island, trying to get it safely ashore. SO. MUCH. FUN. MJ

OK chaps, Lets do what scientists do and use logic on this problem. I have stated before that Squad made planets with water. Why the hell would they make the MAJORITY of the planet inaccessible? I agree with Snuggler that ship specific parts will probably not come. All Squad need to do is fix the water physics. MJ

Hi Redrobin, Those unsighlty gaps in this fairing can be eliminated by attaching the tanks with a cubic strut. MJ
