I'm working on a video series on Hard, but with quicksave and revert enabled...and a few mods to make it harder. -
HMV Plays KSP! New series for 1.2: PreRelease!

Just got it. You can edit config files to change the location of the HUDs Edit Gamedata\KerbalEnginer\Settings\SectionLibraty.xml in your favorite text editor. Search for HUD 1. A few lines down you'll see <FloatingPositionX>nnn</FloatingPositionX> <FloatingPositionY>nnn</FloatingPositionY> (the n's are numbers) If you run 1600 x 900, I found <FloatingPositionX>485</FloatingPositionX> <FloatingPositionY>630</FloatingPositionY> for HUD1. Do the same thing for HUD 2. Again, for a 1600 x 900 display, <FloatingPositionX>900</FloatingPositionX> <FloatingPositionY>630</FloatingPositionY> is pretty good for HUD 2. If you are not running 1600 x 900, edit \GameData\NavHud\Plugins\PluginData\NavHud\config.xml Find the <rect name="hud text position"> section and look at <ymin>630</ymin> and set your <FloatingPositionY>630</FloatingPositionY> to the same value. You'll still have to tinker with the X coord, but this gets you halfway. TML -

I've been watching "Bases 2". Which plugin gives the orbital info in the upper left and right of center on the screen? -
Does anybody have their own names for certain parts?

I call the big orange tanks "Big Red." The LV-909 is the "Puddle Jumper." The orange donut tanks are "Innertubes." The launch clamps are "Stabilitrons." The external command seat is a "Lawn Chair." -
Do you still use the old rotation keys?

This is exactly how I do it. -
Feelings about being able to fly without MechJeb

Since KSP does not come with a spreadsheet stock, using Excel to calculate your delta-V would be cheating. Using a calculator would be cheating. The jury is still out on pencil and paper. -
I mix a martini.

This. It takes a tiny fraction of a monopropellent unit to dock a small manned lander so no need to add tanks, just rely on what's in the pod. Further, as others have mentioned, RCS is very handy on interplanetary transfers. Plus, there have been a few instances where that few dozen extra m/s of d-v were lifesavers. If I have an unmanned ship that is going to dock, it gets RCS and monoprop tanks. The only real problem I have is how much monoprop I have to put on the ship. Docking even an orange tank with a probe core takes less than a single unit of monopro, but I have to put two 40 unit tanks on. There should be a 5 unit tank or something.

is up.In which I satisfy "Spudnik" (3), Survivor I (1), and Biome Hunter II (2) TML marches on... Sorry for the delay in getting this up. I was on vacation revisiting the west coast. I will not be updating this game to 0.24 an thus, no update to BTSM beyond 1.57. I hope that does not disqualify me. TML

is up. In this episode, I complete Tier 3 Science and the Tier 3 - "Taking it slow" (3) and Biome Hunter I (1) sub-challenges. After making this video, I realized I did not have Deadly Re-entry installed. I installed it and was able to duplicate all missions and challenges to this point. I will not be making replacement videos.

Jeb's Career continues with .In this episode, Jeb undertakes a bold Mission to Duna using only Tier 3 Technology. This is a rather long video, with live commentary for the entire mission. Let me know what you think of this format. TML

The Kerbal Space Program has just begun. The engineers at the Kerbin Space Center have "perfected" command pods, fuel tanks, and rocket engines. Who is brave enough to plant their ass on top of ten tons of fuel and oxidizer and press the "ignite" button? In this series, Jebediah Kermin will conduct every mission. The only science collected will be from Crew Reports, EVA Reports, and Surface Samples. Wish him luck.
