  1. That would be a bit impossible to see, and I'd rather not use the HUD markers (there would be too much clutter).
  2. I agree, soooo many interesting places yet no one bothers to explore it!
  3. So, I have this Laythe Base which includes some planes. But as your probably know, even the slightest bump during takeoff/landing could be catastrophic for many aircraft. So I though that it would be a good idea to mark out a "safe" landing strip, but how? Should I just put some lights marking the beginning and end of the runway, or is there a more interesting way? Pics would be appreciated. Here's what I'm looking for: -Not an absurd part count -Not too many lights (they make lag) -Not too hard to place
  4. I was testing a long rage SSTO by visiting the Armstrong Memorial. On takeoff, I thought the plane would miss the large hill at the rim of the cater, I was wrong. After realizing that the Atomic Rockets were not able to get it over the hill in time, Jeb jumped out of the cockpit. A fraction of a second later the plane slammed into the ground at over 500 m/s. Amazingly, over 20 bits and pieces (one piece weighting like 5 tons) AND Jeb, were somehow shot OVER the hill by the explosion. Jebs apoapsis was moved from the original 20 Km to over 100 Km, along with the 20 debris. Jeb got to orbit with like 90% of his fuel left, but rather than waiting days for a rescue craft, Jeb decided to return home. With ONLY HIS SPACESUIT Jeb aerobraked at Kerbin (with flames) until he was able to get an encounter with the space station, he did not have enough fuel left to reduce his relative speed. So the space station's escape pod was send out to get him.
  5. 1) Make sure my save file survived 2) Check if the magic boulder has been re-added (done via checking for a "Magic Boulder: Orbit Started" Line) 3a) Go the the Magic Boulder (if re-added) 3b) Play around with the new feutures 4) See how good a SABRE SSTO is
  6. Neither, we need better aerodynamics, that's the only thing I want right now.
  7. It would be nice, but I don't want it right now... What KSP really needs is a proper aerodynamics system. I am really, REALLY, getting tired of my planes flipping and spinning for no reason what-so-ever. Seriously, I think something like FAR in the stock game will benefit it much, MUCH more than resources at this point in time. Basically, resources are not all that useful and would be just for fun, but aerodynamics will do a lot to advance the game.
  8. Wait, so would the SABRE actually refuel Ingame? (I assume your not talking about intakeair) Also, it has been said that it will have around 350-360 Isp, while the Atomic Engine has 800... So I still doubt that reducing the weight by 1 ton but also hacking the efficiency to pieces will increase the range of small SSTOs.
  9. Undock something other than your lander, THEN it will probably let the lander undock, and finally redock whatever piece you undocked. This is the simplest fix and works ever time for me.
  10. I claim this Monolith for all of Kerbalkind! Don't worry, Kirk, you'll be fine as long as you don't look down... or move...
  11. Err, my question was that I was wondering if the SABREs would provide more Delta-V on an SSTO space-plane. How would a SABRE provide more Delta-V than a turbo jet and atomic engine (The delta-v after the plane has gotten to LKO)? Sure, a SABRE is really useful for huge planes and rockets, but I can't see how it will increase the range of an already long range SSTO.
  12. Sounds awesome! FINALLY I have something to attach to my space stations other than hitchhikers!
  13. Wait, so let me get this straight (I haven't been watching the steam): So we can't actually edit the amount of fuel in a tank, we can only set how full (or empty) it is? If so, then tweakables are practically useless for fuel tanks... We can already do that right now, just don't disengage the launch clamps and burn... Anyways, at least we're getting tweakables, but this is kind of a disappointment...
  14. Harvester said on another thread that this update should not break saves.
  15. I've been here since .16! It's like a completely different game now... Remember when everyone begged for Career Mode, docking, planets, etc? And now, it's all here!
  16. *Sigh* Does anyone have a time machine? I'm going to need it for a bit...
  17. Umm what? How will a SABRE satisfy people who are against intake spamming? Is it not the same, or even worse than a standard jet? Anyways, I can't wait for Kerbalkon! Even if it is on Friday the 13th....
