  1. It somehow sounds familiar but I don't get it, unfortunately. Can we have a clue?
  2. Shuttle tiles were also a lot smaller, so one missing Starship tile exposes a larger area of unprotected hull. It really doesn't sound good, considering the previous statements that a few lost tiles should be OK, hence the hexagonal pattern. I'm sure there are many ways to get that working, though. With the way they're doing things, they're probably testing cheapest probably-won't-work-but-might-as-well-try options and working their way up to mpre robust solutions.
  3. That is as imaginative as the name given to a very large telescope called the Very Large Telescope.
  4. For all we know, Dillsby might have transferred fuel from Intrepid and had plenty of Delta-V for such a flight.
  5. I'm no expert but I'm learning. It looks good to me Kerbfleet gets even better when you have a rudimentary understanding of French and Russian
  6. As I recall, that particular kracken was shot down in panic by the Kerbulans.
  7. Guys, can we maybe have a conversation about performance measurement and improvement without making it personal or taking offense at how other people view things? Let's cut out the personal remarks, hmm? I'll let you all decide how best to edit your posts to make them less confrontational. Another moderator may or may not come by later and decide to do some snipping or more.
  8. I remember watching an interview with Elon Musk years back when Falcon 9 was still in development and when they had an animation showing full reusability of both stages. We're talking pre-grasshopper time. The interviewer said, "And you don't patent any of this?". His response was something like, "Since all of our main competitors are national governments, patenting our technology would be... counterproductive."
  9. I believe we are straying from the topic here. Let's try to keep it to performance fixes
  10. Well, well, well. Evil Bob is really turning out to be a great Evil Spock surrogate impressionist!
  11. Ah ok. Thanks @Bej Kerman. Looks like an oversight. Moved to KSP1 mods discussions
  12. @anis, is this the original KSP? What system are you running on? I find that going into the graphics settings and turning off anti aliasing together with setting a smaller screen resolution makes an enormous difference.
  13. While I do appreciate the coincidence that the OP is exactly as coherent as the OP's user name, we do ask that people please try and write their posts in proper English. We even have a rule about it: Rule 2.3 (b): Users are encouraged to use proper grammar and spelling in all messages. Messages containing txt-speak, 1337-speak and other exclusionary forms of speech may be removed; Threadlock has been applied.

  15. Today I learned that Earth looks like Australia from a direct-to-phone satellite.
  16. I am a little nervous that Evil Bob appears to be able to bypass the turbolift lockout. But I wonder of he has peaceful intentions? If Kerbals have demonstrated that they are capable of violence, who is to say that Kerbulans are not capable of peacefully working out their differences?
  17. My understanding, at least with regards to amateur astrophotography, is that the photographer will normally take many consecutive images and use software to compare all the frames and even out anomalies like satellites, asteroids and noise. I somehow don't see how satellites can ruin serious photos. But then, I don't have that kind of equipment or software, so there are surely many factors beyond my current understanding.
