  1. Some mods actually make the game much harder not easier . Using mods to me just adds to the experience, by not using them, I would be cheating myself of that experience.
  2. These look great! Be awesome walking along with a Kerbal sat on top.
  3. I only did this once, and the station bent like a bannana with two different craft docked, I thought it was going to snap in half but it survived. The only station I actually lost, I spent several hours on it docking lots of parts, and stupidly pressed the end flight button. It was like a punch in the guts when I realised what I had just done, the nearest quicksave was right at the beginning! All that time gone in one unthinking mouse click.
  4. Cool thread guys. Some really awesome stations. Heres my current Station, I named it Gateway station. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP6t0IhWvfY It's just the hab module at the moment, theres room for 130, not too sure what I am going to add just yet. What it took to get it into space, barely.
  5. Press alt + the WASDQE keys(alt+x to reset), and watch the, pitch, roll and yaw display on the left. It moves your controls so they hold a set position. It's something present in most flight sim games. I mostly only need it to alter pitch trim(alt+W and S), to make a plane to stay level in flight.
  6. I am still using the same lifters I made in 0.18. I did build them with Ferram aerospace installed though. They are rock solid in stock KSP. Only general purpose lifter I have built in 0.21. A little bit impractical at 837 parts, but it was just something I had to try.
  7. After an EVA where a Kerbal violently at random, flung himself off a ladder, and went sailing through all my deployed solar panels, I prefer to retract them I have to say. It was an awesome sight at least.
  8. I struggled with rendezvous, watched a couple of vids, but it it took a lot of trial and error to sink in. I learnt how to dock building this thing. It took me ages to get those fuel tanks connected. Most important thing I learnt, make the RCS balanced!
  9. The current rate does seem quite high. I like to use RCS on my landers instead now, it's a viable alternative to the magic pod torque of old.
  10. I tried your rocket, and yeah the new SAS really doesn't like it . Almost as if it's oblivious to whats happening. I made a couple of changes though, and managed to just get it into orbit. One thing I noticed about the new SAS whilst flying your rocket, during the gravity turn you have to keep the rocket pointing in the direction you want, until it settles down, otherwise it just tries to snap back towards prograde. Like was suggested, maybe some kind of toggle that switches between modes would be helpful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29aXUqtbnWY
  11. Do you have a joystick Cpt Sierra? Someone had a similar rocket with similar behaviour, and when he unplugged his stick, it flew straight. Not enough deadzone on the stick probably. I put together a big rocket for landing on the new Mun. Except for the turns, this is all hands off and it virtually flies itself with SAS on. It gets a little wobble when the SRBs hit half fuel, probably not aligned perfectly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A3kFznSBJA https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxRJ34iC2Pa0NC1aTXBuaUZwWUk/edit?usp=sharing
  12. I noticed that. One even speeds up just so he can have a near miss hehe.
  13. That sounds like your joystick was sending random control input spikes, due to not enough deadzone.
  14. Everything seems fine for me so far. I always used the avionics module before, so I dont need to really adjust to the new SAS changes. It feels quite similar, just vastly improved. Love the new planet textures too.
  15. Vanamonde, I built your rocket and it flew perfectly straight for me, using the stock Steam version. Heres a video of it. Definitely seems like something strange is going on. Maybe it's phantom controller inputs disengaging the SAS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0hkDSD4TDk
  16. Made a biplane based on the Airco DH.2, found it could pull 20+ Gs, Jeb loves it.
  17. I did a quick vid with the 3A on a stock install, new save. The only thing I noticed, is a bit of drift after manual input. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=busbXdu5gDU
  18. Just put together a biplane in 0.21, and it was steady as a rock with sas on, for me.
  19. It would be the final straw. I would go undercover and destroy EA from the inside, even if it cost me everything!
  20. I can't wait to get a rover up there, to do some crater surfin!
  21. I heard of KSP from a youtuber I am subbed to, called PlumpHelmetPunk. He posted a couple of videos of KSP in late 2011. Downloaded the game soonafter, it was free then . Have been playing it on and off ever since.
  22. Play it! No idea what that will involve yet.
