Dang you.... I kept hitting play.... That's why they included the towel!
-
Elon has seemed to make his loving turning normal convention on it's head. I wouldn't be surprised if he's going to mars just because the naysayers say he can't.
-
If we stretch the meaning of driven.... a lot..... then..... ^RE: Tesla
-
Yeah, but those other there didn't have air-con, or bluetooth. But I'm kinda sure they had some form of satnav. Maybe not....
-
Obvious ROI, no, but long term some of his ventures could turn out to be worth more than all the losing ones combined. He's just positioning himself to be in the right place at the right time. While Spacex has to turn a, non or minimal loss lets call it, it will lure many more investors to his other companies. There is more to be gained from going to mars than just immediate profit.

Any word on if they put a bench of sensors in the space suit? It'd be a great way to get feedback on it's effeciency.
-
He.... He.... He just launched a car to Mars........
-
Even newegg is concerned:
-
I'm wondering if they put a minimal amount of air in the tires, or did they just drill holes in them?
-
No it's not, it's a commitment problem.
-
Only wanted the gif... but oh well:
-
Well, they're both rockets.....
-
No, No... Don't Panic is a much better reference for a car in space. I betcha there's a towel in the trunk too.
-
Pretty sure I'd line up for a flamethrower, or even a howitzer, to help fund a Mars mission.
-
Did anybidy else see that that the SATNAV screen said DON'T PANIC! ? Love that!
-
Seeing as the recovery of spent boosters is not critical to launching a mission, it may be a lower priority than others. But that said, it is a major reason they are doing this so economically ($90 mil "pr stunt" ), so it is a big priority to get that fixed. But it won't stop customers from buying flight time, as the cost is on the company.

Any word on the core booster? EDIT: ^ DOH!

Ditch The Royalty Free Music

I'd guess Hans would be a significant percentage of Squad's annual budget. Even if it was donations, I doubt we could meet his fee... If somebody were to get him hooked on the game though........ -
Survey about an app for photographers (University project)
Gargamel replied to gh7531's topic in The Lounge
I used to spend a lot of time in a darkroom developing film and making prints, old school style. What is still needed in a modern app is chainable timers. Darkroom work requires a series of steps that each have a different time element to them. I have not, over the years, been able to find an app that lets one build a series of countdown timers that trigger the next one when the previous is finished. Example: If I have 3 steps that require 2, 4 and 3 minutes, and it usually takes me 10 seconds to transfer to the next, I would like an app that would run a 2 minute countdown, then a 10 second, then 4 minute, then 10 second, and then 3 minute: 2:00 -> 0:10 -> 4:00 -> 0:10 -> 3:00 Obviously those are just examples, and the actual values would be determined by the user. And obviously, the color settings would be important, in this case, as dark as possible, with red numerals to reduce light exposure. I also used to swim competitively, and one of our training regiments was to do 30 50yd laps counting down from 60. Ie, The first lap would start and a 60 seconds clock would start. We would finish usually in 30-40 secs, and then get 20 secs or so break. Then the next lap would start, but only giving us 59 secs. Then 58, and so on, until the final lap was only given 30 seconds. An option in the above app to create chained decreasing times by a set interval would be great. I know my idea is only tangentially associated with your idea, but if you're looking for a mobile app idea, there ya go.- 4 replies

OK.... twice in 24 hours I have to ask for help... I feel so ashamed :). lol Using KIS. I have a SC-62 container on a mount. I have transferred the items I want to carry into the box, which is on a mount (actually it's now floating free, thought hitting 'release' might help). My Kerbal is snuggled right up next to it, well within range. I am clicking and dragging the box into His inventory, but it is not attaching. Nothing is happening. The second box that is still in the inline container will attach nicely, and back, to the Kerbal, but I can't get the items into that one while it's in storage. I have RTFM'd, section 7. Says to click and drag. No joy. Googling has brought up nothing beyond that. In the manual it shows a little green hand appearing on the container to click and drag. I am not getting that. Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug with my install?

Aight.. found it. Menu option didn't pop up first time in EVA, and I'm glad it's a one shot deal. Any mods that will do this for me?
-
Well... Been playing for many years, and finally can't figure something out by clicking random things, and search returns too many or too few results. Mothership has returned to LKO, landing return craft has docked with her. MS command pod has a bunch of stored experiments in it, I need to transfer them to the landing craft command pod. Can't find the method to do so. I've tried EVA'ing, and there doesn't seem to be a method (that I saw) to do it this way either? Is a mod to do this for me if it's one at a time via EVA? It's a lot of experiments and I hate EVA'ing.

That wonderful moment when mechjeb sets you up on a resonant orbit of 6.9km over the mun. Warp was slow enough for me to go look up the highest point on the moon, which was higher than the orbit.... tabbed back to KSP just in time to see it fly by the craft. All turned out ok, but in the future....

Surely there is a volume control somewhere...... On the wife I mean. Oh how I wish....
