[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
Starwaster replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I dunno, it's been a couple of days since Helldiver explicitly told us he was hard at work on the mod and that he just didn't post because there was nothing newsworthy to report... might be time to declare the mod and thread dead. [/sARCASM] (ok ok, sorry.... guess we've run that joke into the ground already) -
Wow, i'm really not doing so great this past month. Multiple hardware failure's on every computer have, sloppiness in uploading this mod... The default configuration file that adds life support to crew parts lacking it is not working because i screwed up case sensitivity. Here's the file again, while the Curse link is being updated: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qduqb69wvtpccmj/ModuleManager_Default.cfg

parts [1.10.x] SDHI Service Module System (V4.0.4 / 11 October 2020)
Starwaster replied to sumghai's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Alrighty then! Started it up this morning and found the parts. And apparently never actually attached them to the Taurus. They're for the normal SDHi (and apparently i cannot do a capital i now...) -
Station Ripping Itself Apart
Starwaster replied to Stickyhammy's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
No, they can have 4 spokes. in fact if you download the GingerCorp station hubs on Curseforge you can have stations with six spokes. (eight total counting top/bottom). Or three..... -
parts [1.10.x] SDHI Service Module System (V4.0.4 / 11 October 2020)
Starwaster replied to sumghai's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I've downloaded and used them before. I'll post screenshots later proving that there's service module parts in there. I'm too tired to spar right now and I'm going to bed. -

[1.3] kOS Scriptable Autopilot System v1.1.3.0
Starwaster replied to erendrake's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yeah, if it happens to new craft then it's not related at all. -
Dragon Rider Capsule [0.23 (2/14/14)
Starwaster replied to CardBoardBoxProcessor's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It's because the node sizes (stack/attach) are too small. joint breaking forces are scaled according to node size. Also, none of these parts have breakingForce or breakingTorque properties. Because of this they will be using the stock default of 22, which may not be enough in normal circumstances... (they should be added with a value of maybe 100) -
[1.3] kOS Scriptable Autopilot System v1.1.3.0
Starwaster replied to erendrake's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The reason I ask about MM is that if a plugin's module order changes in the save file it can break a pre-existing vessel in all kinds of amusing ways. If you had an old MM that could have been what happened. The new MM is supposed to fix that sort of problem but it actively edits your save files to do it and it can be a little overzealous about it. deleting modules it probably should not and I've even seen parts vanish that I think it was behind... -
[0.90] Kerbin Shuttle Orbiter System v4.13
Starwaster replied to helldiver's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Thrust is actually based on Isp, not the other way around. Thrust depends on Isp and mass flow of the propellant. -
[1.3] kOS Scriptable Autopilot System v1.1.3.0

I didn't see it if you mentioned your Module Manager version anywhere. So which version are you running? -
First page. First post. Look for the word 'download'

parts [1.10.x] SDHI Service Module System (V4.0.4 / 11 October 2020)
Starwaster replied to sumghai's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
someone made one for the taurus pod. not sure where so you'll have to search it out. -
That's strange, I wonder what happened to it. Actually though, I forgot I posted it and it shouldn't matter. There should be one in the main download now. Unfortunately I can't check because I'm having rather bad luck with computers. My main one is down and my cat threw up on my macbook RIGHT after I got it all set up to continue working on this mod with monodevelop. Keyboard is non responsive now. Would someone please look in the IoncrossCrewSupport folder and tell me if there is something like 'ModuleManager_Default.cfg' there?
-
that config was designed to only apply if FAR is installed. It shouldn't apply otherwise.... unless maybe an older version of MM is installed. Not sure what happens then. @eclipsen413 In fact, don't delete that file. Check your GameData folder and see what version(s) of ModuleManager are installed. If you don't see one with a version of 2.1.x in its file name then download the latest version (it's at 2.1.5) and try again. If there was an older version and downloading 2.1.5 didnt work then delete all older versions and try again. (multiple installed versions from about 1.3 on should coexist with obsolete versions shutting down in the presence of newer versions so it shouldnt be a problem for them to coexist) Post your results here

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
Starwaster replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
drag is the standard drag equation. FAR doesn't actually change pressure or scale height, it uses what the game tells it for a given altitude above a given body. Density is determined by a table that Ferram devised derived from real life counterparts to the in-game planets. i.e. Earth for Kerbin, Mars for Duna, Venus for Eve, etc etc.. that table assumes for instance that Duna is largely CO2 just like Mars and calculates density as though Duna had Mars gas composition.- 14,073 replies

looks interesting, but I don't think you meant to say 'crushing'.....

I put an alternate set of config files up alongside the main download. The purpose of those is to fix yet ANOTHER scrubber bug. This one is actually related to the latest version of Module Manager. Symptoms of this bug are that every time something changes one of the modules in one of your save games, the scrubber modules are deleted! When you load the game in they are immediately reinstalled by Ioncross but they are turned off. The tl;dr of this is that scrubbers don't (usually) get added by config files. They get added to parts when KSP loads up the main menu. The latest versions of Module Manager dynamically manage modules on parts and may delete them under certain circumstances. It does this on a per save game basis to fix a long standing bug of a seriously game breaking nature. Since MM runs before Ioncross it doesnt get a chance to see that the modules actually belong there, etc etc. Merged the alternate set into the main files. Originally it was just going to be a stopgap measure while I worked on another solution in the plugin, but that's not working out so I decided to just explicitly put the various generator files into the parts with config files (instead of letting the plugin do it dynamically)

Every single one of them has lift open their config files and see. If you cant get lift out of them then something is wrong on your end Maybe you should post a design you're having trouble with and let us critique it.
