  1. Bit tight on fuel but I got it in to orbit easily. 1: Pre-flight prep(antenna + lights) 0: Fairings 9: Get rid of escape tower 8: Science! 0 + backspace: get the hell out of here just fly it straight up until the first stage runs out of fuel (around 7500). The rocket slows down a bit but starts picking up speed later, that's when you start the gravity turn. 70 degrees -> 45 degrees at 15km. From then on it's quite straight forward. 2. I went there for the first time.. nicely aerobreaked at Jool at 115 km, probably could have gone down to 110 to circularize. So to Laythe, first time there and i guess I took a bit of a detour.. ^^ dufuq just happened?? Anyway i was lucky and managed to land my Eve rover that i previously landed on Duna nicely on one of the tiny islands..
  3. You misspelled drinking shandy and disco dancing :-/
  4. My stock Gemini XI with a happy Jeb testing the Mini-Munlander II. Well he was actually not too happy since Bill was finishing all the snacks:-/
  5. That's when I decided to land my Eve-probe on Duna and later on on a small island on Eve again :-) To Duna! Succes! to Eve! So there.. one interesting Monday evening :-)
  6. My first test to see if the gemini + challenge was possible, went some what tits up due to a C.A.T. error (and ended up with a strut bug) After this my cat jumped on my keyboard and my screen went blank :-( Also when I tried it later without a Kerbal on the lander i was somewhat short of dV. ps. still uploading images, so it might take a while before all images are up :$

  8. so I have to land this^^ on the moon... I build the space bike last night, it's supposed to fly on RCS but I haven't yet tested whether it's possible to land it on the Mun with just that. i do find the whole challenge somewhat confusing. But it did get me interested. My plan will be to get my gemini craft in orbit > dock it backwards to the stage that will fly it to the mun (which will have the space bike attached to it as well) Shoot the whole stack to the mun. get everything into mun Orbit. Get Bill onto the bike, land it, plant the flag, dock rendevous with the gemini craft, spacewalk back to it, fly back to Kerbin.. SUCCES! https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9346020/gemini/Gemini%20V.craft still has some trouble with docking though..
  9. I am playing together with my brother in law who lives in Holland (I live in Uganda) so we send each other live updates of our endeavors over whatsap :-) so there you go.. that's why :-)
  10. so i was annoyed I had never gone to Eve. On Sunday morning I decided to go, slapped something together with a slight hangover, of course the rocket fell to pieces, but i managed to get into orbit and on my way to Eve. I shot it straight into Eve's atmosphere with a periapsis of 800 meters. At the time of the first picture I was doing 4000 m/s. It's somewhat Curiosity inspired, and could use some extra battery but it worked out quite well. I managed to successfully send it on a similar rover mission to Duna. 8).. Read my sig.. you haters
  11. I'll just download your Craft file.. Cr*p this job is getting in the way of my Space Program :-/
  12. @levelord Lovely craft. +1-ed it on youtube too. anyway: I like my clipping and I am wondering how you managed to have this crossed tanks. You used something similar on your LMV W
  13. I don't want to be critical but: ''The one downside is that you need fuel to be able to flip yourself back over. However, we've added a Clamp-O-Tron Jr. docking port to the top of the rover to enable refueling missions. (Refueling vehicle still in development stage).'' from your imgur So where is this clampotron again when I have flipped your rover? aaah.. crap :-/
  14. just so you know: your sig shows up in google images when looking for silent running ;-) I'd rather go for: -those hexagon things with the two A's -2 stylized spaceships with the domes -or the 3 stylized drones my 2 cts.
  15. I cleaned up the Mun, Minmus and Duna and only kept my proud achievements. Tried to dock my Gemini V and VI. Epic fail again. Landed my Springbok V on the Mun. Crashed during launch because as always I had switched off the gimbals. I found the ride somewhat shaky, but managed to get everything into orbit and to the Mun. Landing was a breeze with the new SAS.
  16. >PGGGT beep KSC this is Gemini IV and V ready for docking <Go ahead! Dudford> KSC we have a problem Donbart> WEEEEEEEEEEEJ! AWESOME! WOOOOOOH!!! Gerzon> D*mnit Donbart this is serious!! We did go to space today.... :-/
  17. reminds me of the old war of the worlds
  18. ^^That's what you deserve. I am not often impressed when I meet people, but Buzz is def. awesome. He visited my old Faculty a few years ago.
  19. My Hyena I and II (2 launches combined into 1 interplanetary ship) no dV calculations so I ran out of fuel at Duna :-/ my solution to just fly back the command module on top of the interplanetary stage..quite silly in retrospect.. So there.. my slightly modified Springbok V (just banged on a couple of parachutes) on Duna 8-)
  20. My latest Springbok VI (WIP) Getting annoyingly similar to the Munbug.. guess that's what you get when you try to build the same thing from the same stock parts :-/
