Here's one of my kerbals on a hover rover I stuck on top of a Mun lander: You can make the lander INTO the rover, like this: Or just stick a little rover on top, like this: Let your imagination run wild. Have fun

"We're all goin' on a, Munar holiday, no more workin' for a, year or twoooooooo!"

Iain M. Banks' 'The Culture', novels had it right with their orbitals. Imagine a huge rock ring, thousands of kilometres across, slowly spinning. The spinning to produce gravity idea is good but will cause some strange effects due to Coriolis effect messing with your inner ear, so their needs to be a very large ring to minimise those. This is the cover of his first Culture novel, 'Consider Phlebas': If I remember correctly the Super AI minds of the colossal ships melt asteroids and planetoids together and use force fields to mould them into the ring shape. This method gives you the most usable surface area to mass ratio or something. Planets are massively inefficient at providing square metres per tonne.

MechJeb, first impressions and head-to-head

I liked this comment a lot. Well played sir, well played. -
Limitations in the VAB on attachment nodes and principal parts. I'd love to be able to build a bit of a ship with multiple parts and then be able to take it off, spin it around and stick it back on with another part.

Future Base Modules!

I would like to see a zero-g pod where my Kerbals float around and bump into each other and throw up and stuff. It's usage is to create lols. It's reason is because it's funny. Only suitable for zero g. -
How to stop Space Station Framerate drop?

I get 2 FPS visiting my Munbase: "Poo happens", I think is the (censored), appropriate phrase. To op: Way too many solar panels. They may look awesome, but more parts = more lag. -
Goldeneye on N64. I was a student in a shared house. I'd get back from college, bang it on and as the 'dar da dumm dar da dumm' loading screen kicked in doors all over the house would open and within a minute the front room would be full of people desperate to shoot each other. At the time it was the best single player and the best multiplayer game of all time. Cannon fodder on the commodore amiga. Amazing. 'War, never been so much fun, war, never been so much fun. Go to your brother, kill him with your gun. Leave him lying in his unifrom, dieing in the sun-nnn, war.' Sensible world of soccer. Best. Commando. Spectrum 48k. Banjon kazzoie. Diddy kong racing. Soul calibre. Golden axe. F Zero x. Ocarina of time and Majoras mask. Perfect dark. Time splitters 2. Bomberman. Mariokart. Rainbow island Oh god ive been gaming for far too long.

My head saw this as: Einstein =

By adding a docking port and then driving them together. Like this: Be careful though it ends up like this with 2 FPS:
-
Add some tiny rockets to the top facing upwards to provide some downforce.

I concur. The centre of mass will shift so much as the tanks deplete it's flipping over as the top get's heavier than the bottom.

If you already use steam then it's a no brainer. Get it on steam. If you don't use steam then it matters very little. Best thing about it being on steam is easy screenshot upload and sharing via the community pages. Here's mine: http://steamcommunity.com/id/12332121/screenshots/ Makes it very easy to do this: (Oh god, 198 hours on record now...I only got the game like a month or two ago. Shame on me. : KSP is a game where you'll be taking a lot of screenshots! So yeah, go steam. If you can wait for a bit it will inevitably be in a sale and be cheaper as well. Either way you gonna love this game. It will eat up all of your spare time though. You have been warned!

Jeb has driven back to Kerbin and left Bill on the Mun
Monkeh replied to Cesrate's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I shall ensure all the dead engineer's families shall receive no pay outs in regards their untimely passing. I have a contract prepared by the finest big green (fore)heads around, stating, very clearly, any mishaps caused by their own incompetence leaves no-one viable but themselves. Rest assured. I'm press-ganging a new batch of workers as we speak, pretty sure they'll all sign the contract as well. It's that or lose fingers and thumbs...or maybe get sent on a research mission, I really want to know what the inside of the sun is like and manned vessels produce more satisfying results. Some say I'm a little harsh on my workers. I say screw 'em, they're all gonna die in horrible explosions anyway, why let a little torture, coercion and minor violence be a big deal? -
Time for a riddle! How is it possible for me to walk 3 miles north, 3 miles west and then 3 miles south and be back exactly where I started? AND NO USING GOOGLE!

I'll send you some of mine, no problem, I got loads. Although mine are a bit stupid, the stuff they build normally falls apart on the launchpad, idiots. -

Now don't panic Johnno, that's EXACTLY what they want! Remain calm, take a deep breath and ring the police. Explain to them that terrorists have stolen your menu, laugh when they ask what restaurant you're in and then hang up. -
A-ha, that would be it, pretty sure I've only really used the white ones. Cheers. I saw the comment in the OP about not having the inline decoupler and even managed to work out that isn't what I was in need of. I shall have a go with the beige ones when I get home from work and see. Thanks again.
