  1. I am looking forward to MCE vers. 2.0. However, the above quote concerns me. As I mentioned above, KSP 0.24 also includes recovery/recycling of parts that you land with (not parachuted debris). MCE must account for this core feature , unless MCE can modify it directly as well.
  2. DebRefund and MCE use different algorithms to determine payout. DebRefund is integrated into the stock message queue; MCE is not. KSP refunds for parts that you land with, such as the command module and probes; MCE does this as well. Therefore, MCE and stock KSP will conflict. At the least, that payout needs to be removed from MCE. My suggestion is to give players a choice of DEBRIS payout algorithms when they want to use MCE's mission generation capabilities, but not payout. Or, by removing from MCE entirely, malkuth can concentrate on mission generation, which is the core function of MCE. See...nothing to be confused about.
  3. I suggest that that the parts recovery/recycling either be removed from MCE or made optional via the settings. DebRefund mod (see UAL002's post #1980) now performs that function very well and is integrated into the stock Mission messages panel. I would prefer that DebRefund not conflict with MCE, whereby, I would either be refunded twice or the functions would get confused and not refund at all.
  4. Can you remove the "Alternate" icon (it covers the new 0.24 icons) and integrate this with blizzy's toolbar? KAC is one of four Must-Have for me. The others are SelectRoot, Toolbar, and kData. All which should be stock.
  5. Thank for stepping in where Squad failed to go. That's why I love the KSP community. Squad doesn't provide a needed function? Our modders to the rescue.
  6. KSP 0.24 will NOT provide funds for parts that are parachuted back to Kerbin. MCE does pay for recycling/recovery. The missions do work. However, if there is a bug in the mission, malkuth WILL NOT modify MCE to prevent the bug. I've found only one bug in the BSP missions; the repair mission. When completed, you are not paid. The workaround is simply to add the funds to your cash total after closing the KSP program.
  7. The problem concerning actual payout and the log still exists. In the following, I received the payout of $210,000. The log shows $150,000. the bottom of the image shows the log entries.
  8. MPKG files and SP files are text. Good point. Dropped stages need to have parachutes. We'll see if 0.24 handles that situation.
  9. Last night, I watched the Squad KSP 0.24 First Contracts video that was released Friday.. KSP 0.24 will handle recovery/recycling as a stock built-in function.@malkuth: I assume recovery/recycling will be removed from MCE, given that it is now redundant? In the Mission Controller directory, there is a ZIP file which contains the Bootstrap mission packages. Unzip it and move the packages to that directory. I also use MCE in Career mode. Works fine. @Malkuth: Given the functionality demonstrated in the First Contracts video: 1) Will Reputation be added to MCE as a reward (like Funds and Science)? 2) KSP Contracts will be procedurally generated. MCE has mission progression built-in; that is, some missions require accomplishment of a predecessor mission. Might MCE evolve towards mission generation as well? For instance, once a given mission is performed, the next mission of that type may be a bit more demanding and include a higher funds/science/reputation reward?
  10. EnhancedNavball was going to be stock in vers 0.18. It will be stock at a later date. I believe it was developed by a Squad dev.
  11. I've played a couple hundred hours each in PA and KSP. If you're looking to build and manage, i.e. you like business sims and city-builders, then PA is the obvious choice. If you prefer rockets, then KSP. If you want to build and fly stuff in space, then Space Engineers.
  12. Moving KSPAlternateResourcepanel into the triggertech directory fixed it. thanks
  13. Science Library also lets you know what science is available right now. It displays an entire list with percent completed for each experiment.
  14. The Mission Log Book shows each mission's payout. The Ship Log Book Shows the cost of each ship. Each log book shows the ship name and mission it was used on. SUGGESTION: Perhaps, either combine these two log books. Or, include the ship cost in the Mission Log or the mission payout in the Ship Log.
  15. there is an inconsistency between the Mission description payout and the Mission Log. In the following, I just completed random #14. The description shows a payout of 350,000. At mission completion, I received that amount. However, the mission Log shows only 250,000. I have all MCE settings set to to Default; I've not tinkered with payouts in the settings file.
  16. Glad to hear you're on the right path. I've been a developer for over 40 years; so, I know how frustrating these intermittent or hard-to-reproduce bugs can be.Sidebar: I noted in Curse that within 8 hours of releasing vers. 0.72, over 1700 downloads were made. Shows you how very popular your mod is. Concerning Steven's problem. Given that nobody else has that issue I wonder if it's a graphics card incompatibility issue, and does he have the latest graphics driver. My screen resolution is 1920x1080. nVidia 560GTX card
  17. Thank you for that DLL. It worked. No pop-up, even at Space center screen. Another suggestion: Random Mission #5 is for the north Polar region. I've added ojne for the south Polar region as well. You may wish to add that as well to your random missions MPKG. Also, random mission # 7 is titled "Early Missions Landing Trails". I think you meant "Trials".
  18. I tried the TestDLLForSteven.dll. I also tried the suggestion in post #1893. No joy for either. Window still pops-up.
  19. When I exited KSP, I noted that the FirstTimeload parameter was already set to True. I then restarted KSP. The MCE Info Window still popped-up.
  20. Another issue that's bee around awhile. The packages Mission Window shows all the files in the MissionController directory, not just the .MPKG files.
