I totally agree with the forementioned memory usage point. I dont like to crush the beautiful textures of this game and related mods with ATM anymore, my graphics card has 4 GB GRAM, dont talk about the rest of it... Topic tweaks after release: its usual nowadays to have developers overhaul their game after release, thats way better than having the game die a lousy, silent death. So imho, keep it up Squad

Tyren replied to bac9's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
some players had issues with the lift behaviour of those wings...but they are symmetrical shaped, maybe a aerodynamic model issue? do you use FAR?- 4,460 replies

full Window mode is the look-like-fullscreen mode. But you have to force your browser window to the front to make that work as i intend to...wanted to avoid that
-
Full windowed mode? Works, but ... how to express it...it lacks elegance Even so, full windowed with a browser in the foreground your game doesnt longer react on commands, imo with a mod you can avoid this...maybe, dunno.

Hello fellow rocketeers, i'd like to ask if it's possible to mod an internet browser into that game. I am usually browsing at long burns but i want to demount my 2nd screen. I don't know anything about modding, so here da questionz: 1 is it technically possible to do? 2 do you like to see that too? or 3 is my idea crap? 4 thanks for reading.

[Parts]Time for Variable Sweep Wings! Powered by Infernal Robotics
Tyren replied to DKnight54's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Tested it, having the wings in centered position u have quite nice lift and handling, sweeping them backwards allows for higher speed without getting unstable, so yes, i guess drag gets reduced in swept config...but lift is subsonic reduced, too...as it should be. - - - Updated - - - SOmething else: quite wobbly^^ thats my problem with the IR parts...the part stiffness from the moving joint is meh... Another update: do NOT, under no circumstances attach things to the sweeping wings whom apply additional forces to it (elevons etc...) or bad things might happen. Nonetheless, very good mod -

[1.0.4] Endurance (from Interstellar) [DISCONTINUED]
Tyren replied to benjee10's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Thats correct, the CoM isnt fully centered due to shape of the core ring. You should try to outbalance the corridor from center to ring. I usually use 2 extra torque wheels + vernors. -
ATLAS. is there a need in it despite of FASA????

[1.0.4] Endurance (from Interstellar) [DISCONTINUED]
Tyren replied to benjee10's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Made a fast download and reinstalled. Works fine I am looking forward to the rest of the models Is it me or doesnt your mod need textures? So beautiful even without RAM eating layers of paintjob on it. Maybe just something plugin based (reflections?) Dunno if thats possible without textures, i am not a modder, only a guy with too much time to crash his KSP with too many mods. -
[1.0.4] Endurance (from Interstellar) [DISCONTINUED]
Tyren replied to benjee10's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Well, it should work to put the file name into "filename.cfg", afaik windows ignores the usual file type when done like this. Cant verify that though, i am using a german version of windows 7. step by step how i fixed it: 1. open the part folder in win explorer 2. dropdown list 'organize' in the upper left of the explorer window 3. 'file and search options' 4. second tab 'view(?)' - dunno if its called like that in the english version 5. uncheck 'automatically hide known file endings' 6. rename all cfg.txt files to .cfg 7. start the game 8. Enjoy! Hopefully this helps. - - - Updated - - - This is how the files look like after download: -
[1.0.4] Endurance (from Interstellar) [DISCONTINUED]
Tyren replied to benjee10's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
See one of my last posts. you have to disable the 'autohide known file endings' option in your file options. Then simply delete the .txt. suffix in each cfg file name and accept the error message. I am working on getting this thing into orbit, not as easy as it seemed at first...^^ - - - Updated - - - Ok, thanks to Throttle Controlled Avionics I got it into a stable 605k orbit. Beautiful model, congratulation to your progress so far. -
[1.0.4] Endurance (from Interstellar) [DISCONTINUED]
Tyren replied to benjee10's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
To see that endings in windows, go to 'organize --> file and search options' in the left upper of the explorer, 2nd tab there is an option called: 'hide known data endings', disable it. Mission accomplished. Another thing: maybe its possible to change the stock alignment of the ring and the 'containers' upwards. Its not that easy to figure out the front of that thing Oh the compartments are aligned, only the ring faces horizontally. -

Tyren replied to benjee10's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Windows. Did not test it yet, because my game is running with 7k mm patches and i am too inpatient to restart it again now. - - - Updated - - - Update: yep, that fixed it. You need to enable known data endings to see that. Building the Endurance now. -

i found the issue i guess. The cfg files are not .cfg, they are .cfg.txt file type. -

Tyren replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Thats really nice. +Rep for you, Sir. But I guess you meant 2015/01/19 for updating the mod (?). -

Took it for a ride to Duna...brief summary from Jebediah: "1st stage took me out of atmosphere - check 2nd stage circularized, transfered and fine tuned approach, estimated periapsis about 10k - check 2nd stage separated - check parachutes - oh, wait, dont tell me...Tyren you ......!!!!11einself!!11" - BOOOOOOM Jeb survived this thanks to Landertrons ._. No issues with this mod, its neat and enjoyable Just have to do something about the weird looks of my crafts... Edit: one last thing: do not, never(!) decouple the base before the shrouds or bad things will happen decoupling works fine so far. *thumbsup
