I use DCom almost all the time. Quite often RCS matters once you have gotten somewhere and at that point you have probably used a lot of fuel. The offset readout... not so much. I don't think I ever looked at it.

[1.0.4] Contract Pack: ScanSat Lite 1.3 (23/08/15)
futrtrubl replied to severedsolo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yes, it does. -
Are you sure you are using a fairing or a fuselage fairing? Fuselage fairings don't separate. Ninjas. Gotta be ninjas.

[1.10.1+] Contract Configurator [v1.30.5] [2020-10-05]
futrtrubl replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Declining a mission doesn't stop it coming back. You just need to decline more missions so it has a chance of showing back up. Having said that none of the CC packs yet have ground bases yet (I believe) so that is a stock mission, and what I have said above is still true and there is almost no progression there. You could still get missions to make Kerbin stations in stock after having colonised the entire Jool system, in stock.- 5,206 replies

Don't know about the button going missing but the changing size thing is how it is supposed to behave once you unlock action groups. -

parts [1.12.x] Karbonite/Karbonite Plus (K+)
futrtrubl replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
A pull request or just an issue. It's not that it is difficult, it's that when he gets around to fixing it he might have forgotten it with the number of addons he maintains. And with the speed with which these threads move he isn't going to wade through them trying to find old issues. -
Unless told otherwise always install everything in the zip, it's put in there for a reason.

There is no one best profile. It depends on; your ship's coefficient of drag and how that changes with speed, the initial TWR and how that changes with altitude (which in turn depends on both your atmospheric ISP and vacuum ISP and on your payload and stage dry mass fractions), and on how you stage and all of the above for each further stage. There are only rules of thumb. The lower your start TWR the higher or faster you need to be before your gravity turn. If you stage to a low TWR stage you will also need to turn later. Turn shape actually shouldn't have much effect for an optimal turn since for an optimal turn after the initial pitch over you should be locked exactly prograde (AoA limit to about 1degree), however I think it does have an effect on how much you pitch over initially. That is for an optimal turn though, for a general safe turn an AoA limit of about 5 degrees and about 50% shape will usually get your payload to space if you have good TWRs on your stages.

[1.4.x] Contract Pack: RemoteTech [v2.1.4] [2017-08-27]
futrtrubl replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The problem there is there no valid orbit that precisely coincides with the movement of KSC through space, since it is not on the equator.- 557 replies

I'd say it pretty much removes the side effects. Why bother give them food at all? You usually have plenty of time in an SoI to hit one of the recuperation periods and then just keep orbiting away until another and do stuff. Why have a life support mod if you aren't going to use it to support the life of your kerbals.

futrtrubl replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Seems balanced to me. Send one time use experiments on dinky little rockets. This still have use later on as scientists can reset them. -

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
futrtrubl replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Is it actually aerodynamically unstable or are you just basing that on the visual CoL point? Ferram has said that he hates the CoL and is considering removing it entirely and that you should instead use the stability derivatives and Cm graph slope.- 14,073 replies

[1.10.0] Final Frontier - kerbal individual merits 1.10.0-3485
futrtrubl replied to Nereid's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That will remove the new save style after conversion. If you are trying to remove the save before conversion if it is causing problems with conversion then you will need to remove everything inside of FinalFrontierHallOfFameRoot -

Or edit the configs yourself until they get fixed in the next version.
