  1. J.Random is correct. The delta-v is the same, no matter where you burn, but when the burn is deeper in a gravity well, the change in kinetic energy is higher.
  2. No one got this? C'mon, you guys need to read more. I think it'll just be complete nonsense.I mean, how do we even know what they meant?
  3. How does the Curve editing thing work? I can't figure out what the pairs of values mean. I'm trying to create some thrust curves for the strechySRBs. Help?
  4. Update on my previous post: I updated some mods and the second stage works perfectly now, just the first stage SRB left to fix. I tried to see why I couldn't get the thing into orbit with mechjeb, and apparently, my drag losses were going over 1700 ms. Any ideas?
  5. Granted, you remembered that you wished to remember what you were wishing. (see what I did there? xD) I wish I had a better internet.
  6. Seeing as I've not seen anyone make the Ares I yet, I've taken it upon myself to recreate it, only with a few problems so far. First of all, the first stage was supposed to be a five segment Space Shuttle external booster, to burn for 126 seconds and take the stack to around 55 km. Copying the stats that they had, I could only take it to around 35 km. And then, the second stage, which was supposed to be only 20 or so meters in length, turns out to be 40 meters according to the densities in RealFeuls. Help?
  7. Never played EVE, but welcome to the KSP forums!
  8. No way. Never pressing that. Press to go to the Mars. Permanently.
  9. Granted, although the Glaceon hulks out and eats you. I wish I were on the ISS.
  10. I send 10 BMPTs to the hill. No one's hill.
  11. Not at the moment xD. The user below me has not watched Gravity.
  12. 6/10 I'd remember that signature anywhere. (waits for someone to give me -1/10 xD)
  13. True, partially, as I also run Linux for my CS50 course. The user below me has never solved a Rubik's Cube.
  14. Well, Ferram just posted a 5000 ton to orbit craft in the RSS thread...
  15. 5000 tons to orbit... I recently saw a thread with a 400 tons to orbit rocket and was impressed, but this is too much. For the people who don't realize how much that is, this thing could carry around 1.8 Saturn Vs to orbit. As for the name, I'd say go with "Tiny". And Ferram, I think you should go ahead and PM Whackjob with this.
  16. I think that fold out thingy comes from an old mod called HOME. Welcome to the forums, btw!
  17. Well, you add the time to destination, the time of stay, and the time of return to get the amount of life support. Add just a little more for emergencies, but you should be good with thus much. To get all these things, just go to any online launch planner and calculate this stuff out.
  18. Currently, no physics based stuff can happen during time warp (AFAIK), so no rotation to track sun during time warp is possible.
  19. Holy god. This is the best krakendrive ever. The BEST. EVER. Sir, you have officially won KSP.
  20. Launching stuff with FAR: "I can totally recover from that spin..."
  21. Good job! My first orbit was a lot worse than this, it was really, really high, and really, really eccentric
  22. You can hide radial parachutes inside the bottom of a Mk 1 pod. Its kidna useful for Deadly Reentry, as radial parachutes tend to burn up on the side of a Mk 1 pod.
  23. Obligatory: Yeah, people are really fast with Rubik's cubes. I'm not that great though, my best is only 14.18 seconds, nearly thrice that in the video.
  24. Well, my mods list is quite large. I have around 1 GB in mods xD.
