  1. D: I thought you were using Space Shuttle Engines for it! Wow! That is impressive. Trust me, making asymmetrical designs is much more fun and much easier when you use SSE.
  2. You are using a VERY old version. The F.L.A.T Hab is in the newest version, and the Certrifuge's rotation speed was lowered several updates ago. Check the Dev thread too, PJ is making some sweet plane parts.
  3. This is the largest thing ever made in KSP, AFAIK. I think each side was over 5000 parts.
  4. On the shuttle, you may want to try the KW SRBs, they work pretty nice for it I find. As for Energia, I would try and increase the Thrust on the Side Boosters, and decrease the trust of the Core, but just enough so that you have a TWR greater than 1.3 upon Booster Sep.
  5. After the Destruction of the Unmanned Historia, Blue One had a word with the "P.M.I.S. : )". It is safe to say, Kill Confirmed. (The missile cores were still functional upon inspection of the Debris, but the main control core of the : ) had been destroyed, rendering it useless.) Note to self, Optimal Range for Spin Missiles, ~100m. (I wasted a missile by firing it at ~40m. Tests had showed that that should be effective to reach over 80m/s, but I must have been mistaken.) After Killing the ": )", Blue One moved to a 40Km parking orbit near the Bertolt and Reiner. Persistence: http://www./view/uvzj1wi2in00m28/persistent.sfs The green text and flame icon is VOID. It is a telemetry mod that doesn't give me any advantage or autopilot functions, it simply gives me some numbers so I always know what's going on.
  6. I am yes, though I believe DaemonCaptrix is free. She may refuse though.
  7. A ship is a carrier if it has other ships with (in/on) it. It can have whatever you want it to have, like missiles and even a pseudo-railgun if you wanted. Technically, my Logisticcal Support ship is also a carrier, and my wasp fighter could also carry a drone fighter on it's nose, and still be a viable ship.
  8. Yes, but Burnie Burns? As in the Burnie from RT? Does this mean we will see some AH KSP in the future? Dude, sooo cool. Plus, getting a real life astrophysicist to troubleshoot KSP, damn awesome.
  9. Oh my. Well. That's worrying. I seriously expected the Slon Class to put up much more of a fight. Oh well, now to see how much I can wreck with the Wasps.
  10. Go ahead, the persistence is there. Since I set up already, just download it, deploy and take the first turn.
  11. Cool. And Yes, that's exactly what I mean. That is also why I linked the article and quoted it about why it failed.
  12. Uhuh. Yes I am. And yes, the fighters are very similar. I liked the look of your fighters, ut they seemed unreliable due to the use of K-Drives. They also make a pretty good test bed for the spin missiles. EDIT: My wasp is also much lighter, as it is only around 6 tonnes. If I had used a LV-N as you had, then it would be at least 7 and a half tonnes, if not eight.
  13. Okay, this is what I have to say: 1) How do you plan on having the KMP battle? You can't do it at the spacecentre due to a safeguard KMP put into place. 2) Do you have a Client or a Host set up? You cant do something like this over LAN unless you are doing it with someone on the same Wi-Fi/Cable Network as you. 3) Mods? What is supported, what isn't? Does Kerbpaint work? 4) Did you know that the Gentlemen's Naval Battle Club thread has ground based battles such as this one? (They are however, turn based.)
  14. Hi Ember, glad to see you around these parts again, you had a lot of input in the thread last year.
  15. Oh yes please! I love the Energia-Buran. (My favourite Rocket/Shuttle design) I would be very interested to see how you do it. Just don't do a Polyus. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyus_(spacecraft)) This is awesome. I really want to see how you do interplanetary.
  16. Okay. I am at a point where I am happy with my ships. Anyone up for a light duel? -Body: Mun -Special Rules: None. -Max Crafts: 5 Ships (Not counting fighters on carriers) -Maximum Tonnage: 250T (2% Leniency.) Battle of Trost: 104th Fleet deployed to Mun for weapons and armour testing of new designs. The 104th fleet consists of 5 ships, listed below. 1x Slon Battleship - 55T - Historia 2x Viper Corvette - 22T - Bertolt - Reiner 2x Wasp Fighter - 6T - Blue 1 - Blue 2 Total Mass: 112T Persistence: Battle Of Trost (If it wasn't obvious enough from the names, yes, I do watch Shingeki No Kyojin.)
  17. I don't see anything in the rules about it, and I used to use them, but I'm not so sure about it now. I know that if you have a missile launcher based on the surface then you can fire one per turn. (Does that count as your attack? Or is that something else you can do?)
  18. I deflect that face shield with a baseball thrown at 0.9999999999999999999999c. (For the effects of which, look here: http://what-if.xkcd.com/1/) Unfortunately, the resulting thermonuclear explosion destroys me, but on the plus side, the next poster has to deal with a fusion powered thermonuclear explosion.
  19. Oh, no the drones are their own functional spacecraft, not a guided missile. Each drone carries four missiles though, and can return to the Wolf or Arkaesus class ships when they are done. They are basically teeny unmanned fighters. I see nothing in the rules which stop me from using them as fighters, only rules which stop me from using them to ram you after their missiles are expended. Never the less, I will be careful about how I use them, and I will keep that in mind.
  20. Oh. Well, I didn't realise it was your design. And yes, the former. Also, the Mobile Mission Control Ship - Arkaesus: A long range, and essentially a flagship, the Arkaesus is a logistical support ship for a fleet. It has light armour and four of the same drones that accompany the Wolf class, along with incredible range. (Again.)
  21. Well, since I attached the original control part in 2x symmetry (The landercans) I am now kind of confused.
  22. Yup, but the idea behind my designs this time is minimalism, so everything is quite small. Even my BattleShip, the Slon, isn't much bigger than this. The idea is that it has sacrificed heavier armour for ridiculous range, and can literally run away to the other side of the solar system if need be. It's also a bit tricksy. The marker for the ship is on that centre segment, so that if it gets destroyed, I then have two smaller, fully independent carriers, and I still have a huge range.
  23. Nice. That little Fighter looks very cool Plonio. (So much so that I based my new Redback Fighter on it. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.) Also, Daemon, that ship looks like Adine's Gunman from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Even down to the placement of the Cockpit. Do you watch it? Either way, say hello to the Wolf: It has by FAR, FAR, FAR the longest range of any of my ships to date. And, it has 6 teeny drone fighters, each with 4 missiles. And a spin missile of it's own, just in case. Thankfully, all of the drones have a quite decent range, along with being incredibly small targets, so I can just bring down a Wolf Class, drop a few fighters, an retreat off to gilly or something. Which is just as well, considering it has pretty bad armour.
  24. I call in a Titan from TitanFall, which lands on the shield as it flies towards me. I fire a rocket cluster at the next poster from inside the Titan.
