I hope you are right, I really do.

@Claw new data point in my on going "run as admin" experiment: 22 minutes from telling UAC to proceed with starting the game. VAB was the location, was editing a rover that I want to send to Bop. Had just deleted a part off of it and tried to adjust a wheel location. Game decided after deleting that it was done. NTDLL.DLL came up on the post crash dialogue box. hope these data points are helpful to you

The underline is my doing, and pointing at something that concerns me greatly. Seeing language like "finishing" leads me to think that the departures are because the game is considered done, with nothing new to be added. ever. I had hopes for a long and bright future for this game, but, if the core team is breaking up because they think there is nothing left for this game, I am deeply troubled and even more deeply worried. @Ten Key I remember that video! In the case of the video the musics pacing fits the scale. Big score for a mountain of a ship. In our OP's case he is working on the stock scale provided by KSP so, to me, it's out of proportion and a bit quick. Of course personal tastes are just that, personal side note: always wondered what kind of beast that flags and footprints machine was. Never saw the MET clock depart GREEN! That ship was huge had to have been 1k parts or more!

Crashes Post 1.1.X Simple Question for the affected ones
AlamoVampire replied to AlamoVampire's topic in KSP1 Discussion
If the dev notes are anything togo by, the crashes sources seem to be identified. Time to see what happens when the patch comes down the pipe -
@Claw Data Point: 22 minutes game play from clicking the yes, I trust it, now let me play in the UAC as admin. Note: Was in SPH tinkering with a design, specifically was adjusting the shuttle like wings and the same size strakes, had just deleted the strakes and went to adjust the wings and NTDLL.DLL said: NOPE.

UI customability
AlamoVampire replied to AlamoVampire's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
For me, I hate the new vertical placement of the in flight icons that used to be on the top of the screen. It interferes with a mod. colors of orbits being different for capsule, station and so on could be nice -
Does KSP need 1.875 meter parts?
AlamoVampire replied to Panel's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
yes. in a word yes. -
@Ten Key it didnt feel like the music was pacing faster to you than the action? to me, it felt.. disjointedly quick compared to the KSP action.
-
Overall its a nice video, but... 1. Youtube makes things darker so you may need to up brightness while doing ops in night. 2. For me the musics pacing did not match the more sedate pacing of what was being seen on screen. Made it feel off. Being a cellist I am tempo sensitive which is why I made point 2. this all being said, I dig the station, nicely done!

@Chakat Firepaw has an excellent point about irl space agencies. ever watch videos of the shuttles SRBs? Notice that they tend to fall end over end a bit? thats because of the separation motors kicking the SRBs away from the shuttle stack after SRB shut down. If you watch some launch videos where launches take place on clear days and the lighting is right, you can see separation motors firing to increase distance from the expended stages and the rocket as it climbs away. They are your friend not a hack

@MircoMars Interesting. I run modded too. Mechjeb, proc fairings, novapunch (np is still way outdated but since i crashed clean after slashing and burning in april i know np isnt hurting me..yet) and have crashed with run as admin but less often. Why our results differ is beyond me, but its an interesting data point for @Claw tho i think

So what did you name your space program?
AlamoVampire replied to The Flame Cat's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Test Box. why? because when i first got into mods i mad a test save, and called it Test Box. ever since, ive rolled with it. not creative i know. -
Landing gear can't wait for 1.2, needs bandaid.

Editing configs or module manager may work for some, but not all. I for one am uncomfortable tweaking configs and I do not have mm or ever plan on using mm. So are people like me screwed with out squad just doing something like this? Looks like it. -
Val and two tourists almost got snatched by The Kraken

@A_name That's what I figured, just wanted to be sure, and you're welcome -
Better UI for deleting craft
AlamoVampire replied to Snark's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Count me as a supporter of this. -
I know this has been suggested but my search fu is weak. Can we get the ability to move. All UI elements around the screen? Especially the ones that once were horizontal and now are vertical?
-
Kerbal attachment / inventory systems do this already when used together. But i say lets make them stock

Val and two tourists almost got snatched by The Kraken
AlamoVampire replied to A_name's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yikes! Lucky F5 saved you. I think the kraken was toying with you. Had he been inclined hed had eatten the save id bet. A side note, if you meant kerbal alarm clock by alarm, you may want to point this out to the mod maker as something to check into, so it doesnt happen to others -
Was it truly necessary to be so rude to the op? Yes there are a lot of people making videos about ksp. So? Scott Manley is arguably out ksp god so should all other video makers quit too? Should all the streamers stop too? To the OP @How to: KSP make what you do best! I dont see many base making vids, may be a good place to start Good grief whats with you and rudeness?
