It`s obvious it`s soon, why not tell us when the update will be out?

... then there is that first crewed Moon landing anniversary coming up ... -
That brings back memories. I made something similar, but with all the engine nozzles pointing away from the center. It fell apart under its own weight before I even got a chance to launch it. But it looked nice in the VAB.

Actually, the OP seems a little different from much of this thread as it stands now. However, the idea of feeding dead humans to pigs, etc., is a bit taboo in most parts of the world. Others above have pointed out that there are efficient ways of producing protein and other nutrients in an economical and more culturally acceptable manner.

Tested jet boosters. Once in orbit, the payload consisted of the top 4 stages (payload proper, monopropellant stage, LV-N stage and the RAPIER stage). The bottom stage was still attached & some dV remaining. Of course the jet boosters were jettisoned in flight. The support legs were jettisoned shortly after launch. Edit: launch engines are 4 aerospikes.

Thanks for this. Good information!

Thanks for these graphs! Also for the posts & replies, everyone. I've experimented with mixed jet boosting systems, which I've found interesting. Using KER, the turbojet appears to show a higher dV than the basic jet or the RAPIER in air mode. Same with the TWR.

These tutorials are extremely well done and I know they required a lot of time and effort to put together. Thank you for these! Other replies above have already addressed some points I'd otherwise mention. However a few remain. I understand that the OP is using Windows (7 I think) and that most KSP players use Windows (and that some Mac users have a Windows partition). For those of us who otherwise use Mac OS X, a few notes and recommendations follow. Of course KSP, 3D modeling apps, image editing apps, the part tools and Unity remain the same and are available from the same sources as shown by the OP; also the interfaces and functions are similar, if not identical. For cfg. file editing, I recommend the free text editor TextWrangler (the "little brother" of BBEdit). In fact, you can even code with it in several coding languages (with the exception of C#, which language is dominant in the development of Microsoft products). For an analog to Microsoft Visual Studio, the obvious choice is Xcode, which is free. From Wikipedia: "Xcode supports C, C++, Objective-C, Objective-C++, Java, AppleScript, Python, Ruby and Rez source code with a variety of programming models, including but not limited to Cocoa, Carbon, and Java. Third parties have added support for GNU Pascal, Free Pascal, Ada, C#, Perl, and D." It also supports the new Swift programming language. Check out an article on working with objective-C. Xcode: Keep up the good work! (Note that my parts are not yet available at Cursed. I expect to make more parts after the KSP version 0.24 update, after which I intend to make them available there.)

Most people die of disease, substance abuse or old age (and these factors may lead to a significant portion of accidental deaths as well). People who die in conflicts are also subject to great duress, which affects their body chemistry. There are many forms of animal protein that are much more feasible to access (rabbits, aquaculture flora and fauna, cooked insects, earthworms, etc.) and vegetable protein combinations which are much more economical, safer and much less socialogically taboo.

Welcome, Baboon! Sounds like you'll enjoy KSP.

and , by Power of Seven; a dirge from , theme, , a cutscene, (Nightvision), (Hazardous Environments), (Kaon), end song, (Want You Gone). That's all for now.Edit: if you like the music of Bungie's games, you may want to listen to the first 4 links. Not all Marty O'donnell work, and quite different sound genre.

By Committee: the next Marathon Infinity level.

I think inventors, writers, artists and coders have a right to benefit (inc. financially) via patents and copyrights if they so choose. I also think that intellectual property rights should be obtainable on a level playing field; the individual being equal to the corporation, in terms of access to the path in terms of legal requirements, costs, etc. Most of the things we use in life are patented, and without a reward incentive for the inventors, we'd not be enjoying most of those things right now, including our computers, smart phones, automobiles, shoes, etc.

You're Wormfood, Dude! Marathon Infinity level 30: Yeah, the level numbers are not always in sequence; it all depends on the timeline you found yourself in.

I've had good success using 3 radially mounted LV-Ns on my transfer stages. I mount small fuel tanks radially, and mount the LV-Ns to those. I feed fuel from tank(s) in the central stack. If need be, I've used larger tanks radially. I have also used onion and asparagus staging of other radial tanks (which of course do not have engines attached to them).

I've been working on various Eve ascent vehicles.

I wish I had a video of it. What you don't see is all the motion. The ship looked like an octopus tentacle lashing about in random directions. Hehe! I also couldn't resist a launch attempt. The flight was shorter than hoped for.

I enjoyed both movies. Given the Fermi Paradox, I think that Transcendence (or what is called 'The Singularity') is more likely to happen (first).
