I didn't watch the video, but if he said that he is mistaken. Sorry for the oversight.

It's an analogy, get over it.

Could low altitudes on Mars support liquid water?
NFUN replied to Findthepin1's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I'm tempted to give you guys "a room" in which you might argue the intricacies of photography together, since you are so insistent on doing it in every thread that remotely relates. Findthepin1, dissolved salts will affect both the boiling and melting point. See colligative properties. http://chemed.chem.purdue.edu/genchem/topicreview/bp/ch15/colligative.php -
What will KSP's future be? (Warning: Flames Ahead)
NFUN replied to RAINCRAFTER's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The physics bubble isn't the big problem with multiplayer, timewarp is. DMP has personal time zones that might be synced, but Squad is considering other systems. How come Unity 5 isn't an option? -
An idea for the Kerbal end game
NFUN replied to RocketBlam's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
The devs have come out strongly against that, saying that they want everybody's experience to be relatable. We get excited and happy for one another after a forumgoer posts their first Eve success, but how might we feel when someone animatedly talks about landing on Smeve, when everybody else has only returned from Sleeve or Steve? Even if it was only an option that advanced, jaded players picked, it would still be somewhat alienating. -
what makes people use 64bit (and how can we avoid it)

It can allow for mods that enhance graphics... -
My version is Steam-bought and works fine normally, and in case it doesn't for you, there are compatibility options available by going to the properties of the .exe.

Flynetothemun, you can refund games now in order to buy them cheaper on sale, so long as you've had it for less than two weeks and played less than two hours. - - - Updated - - - Red Alert 3 works fine on my Windows 8 computer, and is old enough is should run on an underpowered laptop.

The hidden secret, of the mk2 cockpit interior space!
NFUN replied to SeniorFight's topic in KSP1 Discussion
That is based on Grand Theft Auto 3's "Hot Coffee" mod, in which one may see the actual animation used for shadows when your character brings a girl inside for *ahem* coffee. GTA caught a lot of flak for that, and was almost rebranded Adults Only before they released the Cold Coffee patch to disable it. This is actually relevant now that KSP is coming out on the Playstation, as that incident set a precedent for the ESRB to rate games based on content that is normally hidden and unaccessible. - - - Updated - - - What's the difference between a kid saying "Tartar sauce" or "****" if he means the same thing both ways? -
An idea for the Kerbal end game
NFUN replied to RocketBlam's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I feel like mods take care of this far more than stock ever could, and I even believe that the current late game is exactly where it should be. There can be no end, no game-over congratulations in order to hold some symbolism about neverending human endeavor or our eternal fascination with space, and the technologies last unlocked are satisfying enough for stock. It seems that the game just beckons for mods to be installed, with the player self-satisfied at completing the journey but unsure of what to do. At most, there should be a notification suggesting that the player gets mods upon the first exposure to the main menu screen after a file reaches tech completion. -
mrklaw, I would disagree that LBP and Minecraft are complex games controller-wise, especially relative to KSP. I haven't played Little Big Planet much, but it seemed basic enough, mostly walking around and jumping, and Minecraft is the same. How is the editor going to work for Kerbal on the Playstation?

Thing is, those calculations work when considering the volume of the black hole to be the Schwarzschild Radius, but the actual singularity itself is still a singularity, and remains brokenly dense.
-
It could be "Manley" in poor handwriting-- the "a" and "n" could share a side, with the "l" being connected to the slanted "n".
-
At least Robbaz's idiocy comes from him dropping a tank out of a superbomber into the desert in order to destory a thousand-part cube that survived deorbiting, which is impressive in itself.

Didn't Max or Harvestr call this theory stereotypical and offensive when regex[?] posited it?

In other words, study it out? I agree with you in any case.

How heavy is 300km? Or did you mean the 300km of cable provides the minimum mass? -
Try using a different resolution then I guess. That was stolen from the FAQ.

Memory management in KSP 1.0?
NFUN replied to SpacedInvader's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
KSP stock now incorporates some of the features from Active Texture Management, so the footprint should be lower than in .90 -
Make sure your terrain detail setting in KSP's Settings menu (Graphics Settings) is set to Medium/Default or higher. - If you use the 8192 textures, set it to maximum. Make sure you are running Active Texture Management and you are not running over the RAM limit. Make sure you have installed RSS exactly as specified in the readme; you haven't renamed folders, or placed the RealSolarSystem folder in another folder, or anything like that.

Gregroxmun tried that a few months ago. The game really didn't like it, physics broke down a bit, and as far as I know, he stopped the project.
