2/10, Venus is overrated. Like RIC said, it is hard to see as well, so I am assuming it is a rendering of a probe on Venus. -
What to do if we discover life on Europa?
NFUN replied to xenomorph555's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Step 1: Get infinite fundings Step 2: ????* Step 3: Profit *(????) in this case being "whatever the hell you want, you just found freaking extraterrestrial life!". I'd imagine we'd start planning a mission to capture a specimen and preserve it, at the least. -
Don't forget that they won't look cheesy in a decade's time (probably more at this point though, Law of Diminishing Returns and all) where games that try to look realistic fall off.

That is a little bit too political, try to refocus. The thing is, vaccine manufacturers could be the scum of the Earth-- conniving greedy bastiches whose only desire is to suck as much money from the masses while spending the least money they can on safety and effectiveness. It still won't matter, not scientifically. Vaccines have pretty much been proven rigorously to be safe, with almost negligible serious side effects, and effective, by using NUMBERS. And DATA. You can hate and distrust the players, it might be better off if you do, but they don't need to be wholesome entities. Their products have been tested, and have to be tested before being released. The numbers don't lie, and as long as they are telling good things, that's good enough for me, and should be for any rational person.
-
No, that won't really happen. Intelligence isn't really much of a part in human natural selection anymore, and I don't think intelligence is the most important factor in whether or not somebody vaccinates. Misinformation and cultural views are probably much more important in this regard. Eventually vaccinations will be nearly universally accepted, maybe from learning the hard way, but not because less intelligent people were selected against.

I'm pretty sure that it also allows you to get better (more difficult and/or rewarding) contracts as well.

That looks a bit overbuilt; remember, there is an elegance in efficiency and smaller builds... Wait, what am I talking about? I think your problem is that you need MOAR STRUTS, they boost power by 120%. I like your jet engines on top of the craft (good to see you understand the philosophy of MOAR BOOSTERS) but I'm not sure what the are for...

The food pyramid has been pretty much universally disbanded in favor of a more up to date model, and that has been ceased in favor of the food plate. I don't know the effectiveness of the plate, but historical trends suggest that it isn't here to stay. I don't care if that prediction is factually baseless and irresponsible or not.

Thread, prepare to be locked! ... I was wanted to post here before that happens, as it inevitably will.

Smallpox. Although it isn't "rare" so much as extinct, at least in nature.

The Kraken is a being for destruction, not of healing. The only good that comes from the unholy beast, K-Drives, are powered by the unravelling of space-time itself. I hope I am interpreting your comment correctly, I am quite tired and had to deconstruct all of the negatives slowly and logically.
-
That isn't really how it works...
-
The Earth is pretty tough (It is a 4,550,000,000-year-old, 5,973,600,000,000,000,000,000-ton ball of iron after all). There aren't many feasible ways to demolish the Earth, although currently it has been destroyed.

PFC Strange, there is a work-around to your first problem, though it might be a little cumbersome. You could attach decouplers on to your plane, with a small part on it. When you launch it, switch crafts to it ( [ ] ) and let him take over the recently abandoned plane. Or just switch to another craft on the map. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a feature that makes it easier, I don't think many people need it right now.

What if KSP had one big central server?
NFUN replied to KASA Space's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Actually, I don't think you've even heard of it. Here you go. It works pretty well, but it works much better with smaller servers. And there are measures being worked on to lock ships so only one player could use it, or the player could white-list friends, and a prototype de-Kessler is active, if I remember correctly. -
What if KSP had one big central server?
NFUN replied to KASA Space's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Have you ever seen a DMP server? Or worse, a KMP one? This is what happens with only 10 people on the server. Even if much of that debris is from a Kessler bomb, there are tons of legitimate ships orbiting the planet. One would need a somewhat sophisticated filter in order to even see a ship they want, never mind the lag that could ensue. -
I pledge fealty to our almighty lord and savior, Banana.
-
I may not know what the Banana is, but it's where the smart money is at. Rowsdower, Maxmaps, even SQUAD has voted it! I hope it is the banana. What is the banana?
-
I am almost positive it won't be life support; I heard that Harvester wants the game to be more casual and I don't think KSP is ready for it yet anyways.
-
Did you make sure your ship isn't haunted?
-
I save scum constantly, was overjoyed at finding out that you can make multiple quicksaves, revert flights in case of any failure, almost never do manned missions, etc. In short, I am a coward.

Jealous. On topic, I don't think Congress cares whether or not the decision is made by the brass at NASA or random mid-level servants; Congress can influence the leaders into choosing the capsule they like, or were persuaded to like, and the NASA executives will put some amount of effort into not pissing off the legislators. On the other hand, I don't think Congress is in the position to do anything. We will see how it goes.

Welcome to the forums! There is indeed a seperate help forum, but this will probably get moved there anyways. Your exploding Jeb was probably a glitch.

KSP, Orbital Mechanics, Kerbin from the moon and conspiracies
NFUN replied to AstroRick's topic in Science & Spaceflight
What do you mean by "full-Earth"? Would you mind posting the picture in question?
