In the late years of WWII, the Germans were facing trouble with the allied bombers, they had the Me-163 and Me-262's but they were not manufactured fast enough, were too expensive, and took maintenance. The He-162 was to counter and solve that problem. It was made with wood and metal and had a light armament of 30 or 20 mm cannons. It had one turbo jet mounted on top of the fuselage, had stubby wings and was very sleek and was slower than the Me-163. But it took less maintenance, and had a lot more fuel, actually had time to shoot a decent strafes at bombers and could had the option of a throttle, unlike the Me-163. Sadly (well...not really) most of the German jets entered production and service too late. Very smooth to fly, SAS off? No problem!, very good glider, I recommend infinite fuel to be activated (you can still fly with out it) SAS on: Has possible chance of producing oscillation at high speeds. Smoother controls SAS off: More difficult to control. A lot more fun, maneuverable, and sets a challenge to the pilot. Empty the jet fuel, and maybe add small control surface to the front of the shuttle (clipping it into the shuttle make it look better) and disable pitch, yaw, and roll on it. -

Here is my entry... I found a weird glitch... I may show it later ROCKET POWERED ELEVATORRRRR, and apparently struts have collision meshes. http://imgur.com/a/DBIU4#0 -

Have you tried procedural wings? It'll probably give you a more stronger, rigid, deck. -

1. Yes most of the fuel tanks are empty, actually the fuel runs out in about 20 seconds. 2. I have another 8 more radial engines hidden in the center of block B Also, coming near 1,000 parts, surprised that the game hasn't crashed yet... -

Update: re-designed engines, added a small slanted skirt to Block A, fixes fuel flow, added more power/engines to the LK, shortened the Launch escape system, and my computer is melting. Updated rocket (renamed N1 L4 in case of needing to go back to a earlier version) Skirt with shortened engine Lift-off Getting some tilt, and weird fuel flow here (edit: fixed... hopefully) Abort sequence activated -

Update: Re-designed fairings, chose to keep the launch escape system, Abort command works, and reduced vibrations and wobbling on Block A, and fixed block D. TO-DO: -Clip/shorten engines -shorten Launch escape system -Need something to fill in for the spherical tanks -pray that my computer doesn't explode -

Around 700-800 parts, and yes I can use some work on the engines, maybe clip it into the fuel tank just a little so only the nozzle is showing. And maybe make it look like it has a dome on top of every block so it looks like it has spherical fuel tanks, maybe widen the skirt on the bottom of Block A just a little bit, I need to work the fairing for Block D (maybe redesign the whole fairing), and I think i'm going to make the escape tower a ascetic feature, because of the immense power needed to carry the Soyuz off of the N1, and it takes special and different action groups for the fairing to be separated and firing the escape tower. But here is the picture of the escape tower in use before the fairing change. Also the engine count isn't that accurate, for example I have 39 engines (suppose to be 30) in block A, 16 engines (suppose to be 8) on block B, and 12 engines (suppose to be 4) on block V. Apparently one of the fuel tanks glitched out, exploded and caused a chain reaction. Got out just in time. Jeb enjoying 8 g's Spherical fuel tanks, with (from bottom to top) Block A, Block B, Block V, Block G, Block D, LK, Soyuz, escape tower -

You should check out Shuttlecraft System Inc. They have some Small interplanetary (nuke engine) planes. (some are also VTOL's) http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/41898-Shuttlecraft-Systems-Inc-%28SSI%29-Your-Auxiliary-Spacecraft-Company%21

Yea, I will consider that. And If you think it's bulky, you might want to see my other designs. -

Yea, I set in on 1/8th resolution because there was something killing my frame rate. Turns out to be a rocket on the launchpad that was 600 parts...
