  1. Sooooo I don't know how to disable (frontal)brakes on landing gears and is there a way to set the control surfaces to "coarse" control?
  2. Does it need to have a docking port even though if it doesn't have fuel?
  3. I actually never thought of it that way... Yea it can save part count and you won't need to attach a RCS tug onto it or have any RCS on it...
  4. Ok, ok I know, this is pretty impossible, but I feel like this is Possible. I have already tried with the KAS mod but I will also try with stock docking ports. The challenge is to pretty much dock in mid-air and transfer fuel to the other craft... Successful Contestants: -sploden The planes: WAS A FAIL Ready to release plane, line dropped: Released: Approaching: Close...: ... Let's just say I tried this twice and it both failed.
  5. Just letting you know, I'm still reading comments.
  6. Really cool! though, I don't think you need that many solar panels...
  7. Here's my Encleadus Crew Shuttle: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/63138-Enceadus-Crew-Shuttle-Stock
  8. This took 2 weeks of planning, building and perfecting, the Encleadus Shuttle (there were originally 12 variants). It's a small shuttle that can carries 4 Kerbals to LKO (70-120 km orbit), is exactly 101 parts! (u mad?) and is HARD to fly... It comes with it's own launcher (Space Shuttle style... kinda) and the shuttle is equipped with it's own power supply, mono propellant for RCS (in the cabins/pods), and a docking port for transporting supplies. ACTION GROUPS: 1-Balancing engine shutdown 2-Ladders DOWNLOAD LINK:http://www./view/7qg8wacd4wl28j9/Encleadus%20Shuttle.craft INSTRUCTIONS: -Fill crew in the SPH before launch -Full throttle, SAS ON -Liftoff (stage) -(Watch the fuel carefully) Once the side-boosters run out of fuel, IMMEDIATELY stage) -(IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE BOOSTER SEPARATION) Gravity turn to 60 degrees at 10,000m -Gravity turn to 50 degrees at 20,000m -Action Group 1 at 30,000m -Fine tune apoapsis to 70km (or more) -On the LV-45 engine, set Thrust Limiter to 85% -Circularize (Watch External fuel tanks, fuel levels carefully) As you're burning, slowly adjust the Thrust limiter to about 65%. -Stage once the fuel in the External Fuel tank runs out -When landing, I don't recommend using brakes Of course you don't need to follow these instructions, just have fun! Try it yourself!, Experiment!.
  9. I'm actually making a shuttle right now, it's almost done. So stay tuned.
  10. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! This melted my computer... ... I think I over did it with the lights... Soo beautiful.......... OH GOD Merry Christmas???
  11. How much can the Ares 1 carry to at least a 140km orbit?
  12. Can you try it with my Soyuz? (SOME PICTURES WERE TAKEN USING GRAVITY HACK BECAUSE I WAS TOO LAZY TO GO TO SPACE.) (also the kerbals look messed up, because they're clipped into each other, but on the inside(1st person view) it looks fine.) http://www./view/ikhlr37art9hvgb/Pieces%20VIII.craft As the fuel drains, transfer the fuel from the toridal("O") fuel tank into the bottom fuel tank. When reentering, undock the docking module when it reaches 70,000 m (when you can't time warp/when you start touching the upper atmosphere) You may need to use RCS to move away from it. Just after that, decouple the service module. (MAKE SURE TO KEEP SAS "ON" THE WHOLE TIME WHEN YOU'RE REENTERING. When the Capsule reaches 9,000 m, turn off SAS and deploy chute. (The picture shows the capsule right before touch down. RIGHT BEFORE TOUCHDOWN (100 m) TURN ON SAS AND ORIENT THE CAPSULE SO THAT IT IS POINTING STRAIGHT.(The picture barely shows the capsule in it's landing position, LANDING, with the fuel tank acting as an airbag) (I recommend emptying the fuel tank before you reenter, well you most likely would) And all the crew and the capsule are safe on the ground.
