  1. I enjoy just how many votes this poll has... Well, seeing how vacuum cleaners are already good at sucking up bugs it sounds like a good option. Don't port to the microwave though. Bugs would be exploding EVERYWHERE.
  2. I swear the poll has swapped leaders three times now. I really hope the change is made. There isn't any word from anyone official but I'm hoping for the best. Keep voting everyone!
  3. I've recently been fiddling around with AVP's config files and I'm beginning to discover how he created the scattering effects with atmosphere. Is there a way to take the old format of atmospheres and import them to WIP EVE? I'm really just curious as to how easy it will be to port my cloud pack to WIP EVE when the time comes.
  4. I'm sadly not the biggest fan of CKAN. I'm not planning on adding any of my three mods to it for the time being bur I wouldn't complain if someone else wanted to maintain a CKAN version for me . It's a very easy install without it.
  5. You've been featured for fanwork fridays again!
  6. Agreed here! It would be amazing to see Portrait Stats to become stock.
  7. All you would need to do is add a nosecone back on. The textures could be made to match seamlessly so there wouldn't be any aesthetic loss. There really aren't any downsides to making the nosecone removable as all it would to is add one extra part, and reading up on Unity 5 is prooving to me that that will have very negligible effects in the next update of KSP.
  8. I just updated the second gif to match lighting. It would be pretty easy to make the nosecones have a seamless transition.
  9. That would be a great possibility actually... It wouldn't lose any aesthetic appeal but still be replaceable with other parts. I hope that would be doable with textures...
  10. lmftfy: EDIT: I've got to admit it's quite interesting watching the votes. The bars have swapped leaders at least twice now.
  11. It probably does . I pretty much stole the 0.625 cap texture and pasted it on top of the pictures. I had to move the camera into the correct orientation for each shot and then shrink it until it fit the visible picture. I doubt it would take too much work to un oval-ify it. Here's another example of what simple lighting can do to part comparison: ThatGuyWithALongUsername's image: Compared with: All I did was add more shadow.
  12. Another fact on this is that in-game lighting is far different from the lighting in these pictures. Comparing the colors as an example of them looking bad together doesn't really work in this instance. The main reason why I put a notice above each image
  13. I just did some speedy editing because I was curious as to what the cockpit would look like on an older design of mine. Voila: I stretched the old cockpit to the length of the new model. I've gotta say I do look forwards to planes being pointier. Regardless of a new nosecone or not
  14. DUDE. Why have I never thought of this! Adding to list of things to use in next cinematic...
  15. Also, I am no part modeler. Softening the bottom edge wouldn't be too hard to do. The shape of the cockpit could be modified fairly easily to match. Sure feel free. If you have your mind set to oppose this suggestion, I guess I can't sway your opinion. ãƒ½à ¼¼à ºˆÙ„Ãœà ºˆà ¼½ï¾‰
  16. You clearly didn't read my thread before you voted or replied. Let me quote the first line: You've gotta read man!
  17. Not true, you could use the avionics pack. And further more this is KSP! Let me quote Porkjet: "we know you like to build unorthodox things" (1.1 imgur album, goliath turbofan slide). That should be in a list of "best KSP dev quotes ever"... I can remove that quote if you like Porkjet.
  18. Like this? It looks more sleek without the hatch, but I'm impartial. I just created a nosecone specific poll too
  19. It couldn't possibly be worse than how it is with the current Mk1 XD. In all seriousness though the CoM would go back to its original place once you put on a nosecone. Removing the nosecone would also make the capsule closer in length to the old model, so it might even normalize the CoM to closer to what it was before.
  20. Please read before you vote! Removing the built in nosecone on the new mk1Cockpit model and replacing it with a 0.625m node would enable players to replace it with the avionics pack, the stock 0.625m nosecone, as well as all small probe parts, the mk16 parachute, the junior docking port, science equipment, the new 0.625 intake, and all other parts in it's place. It would allow further compatibility with other parts, and come at a relatively small cost to backwards compatible craft, the aesthetics of the part, CoM, and drag. *0.625 nodes are approximate. *Node proportions are correct (1 to 1/2). PLEASE NOTE that all unofficial and unannounced polls don't give accurate data, as not every branch and every user in the KSP fanbase see them. With this in mind, keep voting.
