  1. 3/10 I recognize your Avatar...
  2. I will happily seek out the Vall-henge if we run out of things to do on Kerbin!
  3. Ha! Some great names going up! You must have quite the mind to dump from flipnascar xD. Roman and Latin words are great to use too. My last ship had the name "Itineris" and the mission it flew was about 3 years after this one to Eeloo. I'll update the list when I get home.
  4. This thing is fun to do stress tests on :3 Spinning at 1/64x normal speed. Floating point errors destroys it if it's at 1x speed. Click for video.
  5. 10/10. you build some of the finest craft around. And you're in something like 7th total place in the light green group??
  6. I'm liking the name ambition. It's always good to name craft after common phrases or words and that word would fit the mission profile quite nicely.
  7. Nice! I was able to do a similar thing with air brakes. If you all want to help out with my cinematic you can hop on to the google doc. Feel free to comment and write as you like. This hinge will be used on the back of a big pressurized boat.
  8. Wat. Not sure why that would be but the mystery has been solved. Well, addressed at least . I'll be trying again next update with the rewritten wheel code.
  9. What I'm trying to do is be able to open and close the door without needing to swap vessels though. Reaction wheels work fine but you have to swap vessels to use them. I'm wanting to be able to control lights and other things as well as being able to open/close the doors at the same time.
  10. I was the last person to post on his thread and I don't really want to edit that post a second time... I'd have to ask him later Hm... that might be a cool feature to have in the config file... a line of code where you could specify whether you want a texture layed in a perfect tile, flipped, mirrored, 90/180 degree rotation, or a random rotation... one can dream.
  11. Oh sorry I got tripped up for a sec. We're talking about divertless engine aesthetics and door hinges at the same time XD - - - Updated - - - ThatGuyWithALongUsername's post didn't make immediate sense to me. >.<
  12. Agreed this would be a problem if it was a replacement. It could be added as a parallel part though.
  13. I was also going to say that with the edition of comms in the next update, a lot of saves are going to be incompatible anyways. Removing a nosecone on a part would qualify equally in incompatibility in my eyes.
  14. There's a handy "view seamless tiling" feature below each image when you click it as well. The main thing with WIP EVE that bugs me is that the textures aren't just plain tiled. They're flipped and then tiled. Is there a way to prevent this?
  15. I actually used an image done by the same guy who created the futuristic city tile for my own (with heavy, heavy edits and overlay). I have a copy of the template textures I used which I could get to you when I get home if you like. It even has a normal and bump map texture! EDIT: It was this page. Don't quote me on that...
  16. I think really the best way to get rid of repetition would be to have 2-3 separate city textures and each to have their own separate "main" texture that complements the three. That would allow you to have 3 separate textures for cities. This would be insanely system taxing though so I doubt you'll end up doing it XD. In terms of simplicity the best way would probably be to have a 4k texture like it currently is and make it a mesh of city blocks with enough formality between them that it doesn't look strange when mixing them together. Like a grid as oppose to a mirrored image. There really isn't a pretty way of doing it. EDIT: oops! You're talking about City lights not textures... With that I would suggest making it have a more uniform spread of light throughout the texture as oppose to a few big spots. Like this: That would just look like noise from a distance rather than a repetitive pattern.
  17. HA! This oldie :3 Arkingthaad ULTRA-lite I made this as a spoof of Whackjob's Kerbin Cup challege.
