  1. Hello Cupcake! I've been away from the forum for so long - and it looks like much has changed in KSP. The new Toad and Tadpole Mk2 designs look fantastic, as well as the new Moths. Good to see that Cupcake designs are still insta-downloads - gonna have some fun with those drop-pods! I little part of me silently weeps though for the loss of the old Tadpole/Minnow designs - Such a classic silhouette that appears so much in my old game screenshots. They will be remembered, always. Still, time waits for no Kerbal (wait, there's a pause function?!) so it's onwards and ever upwards... and then east a bit... then upwards again! I need to find out how much licking this Toad can take! Wait, what?
  2. I really like how you've managed to stow the rover, probe, and scout-craft away so neatly. When I try something like that, I end up either completely unbalancing the lander, or else sticking out too far. I'm curious as to what was behind your decision to put the ion engines round that way on the return module? The module and docking port both point in the direction of thrust - I can't see any "control-from-here" part that would face in the direction of any manoeuvre node on the navball. As someone who uses the navball for manoeuvres, I'd find that a pain. Is there a part I can't see from the screenshots?
  3. Hi Rune! A lot has changed since I was last on the forum, but it warms my heart to know that the White Dart series lives on!
  4. Yay! Damn, I'm working late until the end of the week - but I can't wait to try out at the weekend!
  5. I hope my kerbals don't accidentally kick any controls while squeezing through that hatch!
  6. I agree, the alternative textures were very cool but I ended up not using them because the default ones mix so well with the other parts! That's just my personal preference though
  7. Awesome. I really liked the old Amphib and Marin, and this looks like a very worthy successor! Also really great that it's still compatible with the Marin's IP stage.
  8. Holly Molly, that was quicker than I thought! Thank you so much Beale!
  9. Looks awesome! I have to say that this pack has completely changed the way I build my space stations - and I'm building a lot more of them these days too!
  10. Aack, that sounds like a complete pain in the ascending node... Please don't be discouraged!
  11. No need to apologise to us Beale, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we deeply appreciate all the effort you are putting into this! My own upgrade plans are on hold because I just can't play without Tantares parts now, and it's obviously going to take a few weeks for mod developers to iron out all the crinkles 0.25 is presenting them with! There's only so much sentient bread can do in one day!
  12. I just remembered that in the concept art there's a nifty looking crew hatch with a rather fetching IVA. Is that part still planned?
  13. Nice! I can think of so many places for that - much more visually pleasing that the cubic-strut. Hmmmm... Can I ask where the little dark grey aerial parts come from? I've seen them on a number of your screenshots but I've never seen the parts in any packs.
  14. Actually, I had one test ship where I'd jerry-rigged a kill switch by having the KSRBs feed from a central Karbonite tank, which I could then lock to cut off their fuel supply But a built-in kill switch would certainly be welcome!
  15. Awesome as always Roverdude. I'm noticing something strange since updating to 0.5.1. The power usage of the Jaw is listed as 2.5u/sec in the tool-tip, but the Jaw attached to my asteroid drained a 2000 unit battery in less than half a second, with my array of solar panels and RTGs unable to keep up. Either some extra zeros got added in somewhere by mistake, or are we saying that nuclear generators are now required for mining? Cheers! UPDATE: Ok, so I deployed a Jaw on the pad and it's only consuming 2.5 a second as expected... so maybe this only effects Jaws that already exist deployed in savegames? I guess that makes the solution easy enough - relaunch a new Jaw to the asteroid. Ho-hum... :/
  16. This. I had so much fun last night. There was no way I could wait until the weekend to try this out. Nice album by the way
  17. Yay! I just got home from work to discover the new release! Thanks so much Beale! I can't wait to try this out this weekend
  18. Pretty nifty! Whenever I try something like this, I have trouble keeping the two craft within the de-spawn distance. Obviously there's not much traction in 2-wheel drive mode, but lock in that 4X4 mode and I was happily scooting around at about 25-28 m/s
  19. Very nice indeed! Thanks for the update! I really like it when a parts pack updates just in time for the weekend!
