  1. I can still see my ships, stations, base modules etc, exploding and bending like crazy when time warping. This in a save when I had almost conquered duna, using MKS.... oh dear nightmares.... But I trust you I am sure most of those bugs have been fixed. it was a long while ago. I am still scared though
  2. Well I know what to do now heheh And btw I havent used the klaw since .25 for fear to what it would do to my ships. I had a huge save completely infected of klaw bugs... It was like a virus any ship who had been in contact with it would randomly invoke the kraken upon themselves at some stage. Took me a long while to figure out it was the damn thing. Its a shame cause I would gladly use the part in my designs. would simplify a lot of things;)
  3. I had a weird one yesterday I loaded KSP and switched to my base on the mun and then my karibou rover started flying and slowly pitching like if gravity was turned off. It then exploded destroying a huge bit of my base. Turned off KSP due to anger. But when I turned it back on everything was normal.... oh dear.
  4. I use thrustmaster t16000M on both windows or linux and it works great wether im on KSP xplane or FSX. It is also very cheap and I much prefer using it rather than my yoke (basic saitek one). And yeah flying rockets is still better on the keyboard for me too:)
  5. Vans and lancair are 2 famous Kit planes manufacturers. No Ive never made one myself nor do I have a PPL ahaha (I wish). But being an aviation enthusiast I spot them here and there. Vans RVs are probably the most common kit planes around. It is far from easy to assemble a kit plane (and get it certified), it is also not cheap. And yes what you are speaking about is definitely the 'cri cri'. An amazingly ugly but fast performing little plane. Ive heard stories about people mocking the thing when the guy who designed it first went to plane shows. That untils it started overtaking some bi props heh heh. I do fly virtually on FSX and other FS. And to date my favourite plane to fly is a model of the lancair legacy. An absolute beauty of a bird.
  6. I mostly just play Flight simulator X and KSP on and off. I got myself fallout 4 lately but havent gotten very far(20h). And I havent played it since
  7. AFAIK this isnt a bug, more of a feature. It has always existed since I first bought the game (.20) Now to the OP. I have never gone very far in the career mode. I always end up quitting cause I do not have the patience to unlock the tech tree. I did unlock it once when it first came out but career was science mode back then. Im still playing sandbox. But I am looking forward to try career once again when 1.1 comes out.
  8. @jalevis Dumb question but did it work before switching your exe to 64b?
  9. @Kill_off check the previous page and a post that Kowgan replied to me. It is a glitch. You need to delete LifeSupportScenario section in your persistent file. For sure after backing it up
  10. make sure you have the latest update. if not you need to delete the LifeSupportScenario bit in your save file.
  11. Hi there, Been trying this up on windows for the first time in a long long time since my linux drive is going kookoo and I'm awaiting a new SSD. Very impressed with the results of unity 4 64b on windows so far compared to what it was 2 or 3 years ago. Very promising for what's coming up with KSP on unity 5 for windows. Anyways I do have a question, I have noticed my solar panels and radiators suddenly missing their textures sometimes. They do reappear if I toggle them. I am very unsure if it is due to the 64b client, since I did change a few mods since I played on the 32 bit official client.... But it wasn't happening then. Anyways if you have noticed this also let me know
  12. @Kowgan Okie I'll have a look. Been a while since I last looked at a persistent file. how fun!
  13. How well so my sandbox game is just showing normal numbers then I thought the home was way way to high and maybe it would be different if I played career.
  14. Hi all, Im sorry to ask those questions which Im sure have been answered in the past somewhere in this thread. But searching has been a bit of a hit and miss. I have been away from KSP for more than a year now. Tried a bit of 1.0 when it first came out but that's it. I have used USI mods a lot in the past but things have changed so much So I play in sandbox mode, never been a fan of the grinding that career requires. Now I have set up a mockup base at KSC and a space station in mun orbit and I have trouble understanding how LS works. When I look at my stats the kerbals on kerbin have ran out of supplies yet hab andhome stats still show some high values, and on the space station I have also very values. What does exactely 'hab' and 'home' mean? I supposed 'home' is for the homesick time? Is it because I play sandbox and it is meant to be played on career?
  15. @taniwha I really have to say thank you for reviving this mod. I have used Talisar's cargo system extensively in the past for MKS base module delivery. Never used the tanks but free tanks are always good! Just coming back to KSP after a year long break and I'm a bit at lost with all the new mods;Happy to see it alive
  16. I cannot see your pic, but what you are missing is suspension. Merely using structural parts as legs would only work if you can control your speed to a very low number at touchdown. You could tweak your design with more chutes and more space between the mainsail and the ground, but IMOH you are better off using a mod here. There are a few mods which add what you want (MRS, Karbonite, NFT comes to mind) but the MRS leg is probably the best in the offering and it has 6000+ rating for suspension.
  17. photos(of the lander on the ground) are expected in about 1.5h This event is very well planned PR wise... EDIT: I might be wrong and it might be in 30min time. not sure if the time I read somewhere was in GMT or GMT+1
  18. I think I too have an anecdotal positive sign, maybe a premonition? I just cracked a beer open (it is soon 3am here) while reading this thread with mission control sound in the background Go philae!
  19. We won't know until confirmation of the landing (20min-30min from now). Although from my understanding the event is actually happening right now. Communication takes about 30min.
  20. I am glued to the webcast and it has been on since the separation 6 hours ago. So damn excited and scared about what is happening next... I hope it ends like the curiosity landing. I so want to see a pic of the surface, I might be in my mid thirties I feel like a little kid heh heh. Edit: here comes the exicting bit landing any time from now. Most likely in 20 minutes!
  21. I am going to try and help here as I believe I have a similar type of machine. Not sure what older i7 you have but mine is a 3610qm and my graphic card is similar than urs (nvidia 630m) and I play ksp on playable levels with lots of mods. Although I use linux and the 64bit binary I am sure you can get your hardware to run the game a lot better. 1- Lower your settings (low to medium, half res text, no AA) 2- turn off any other program in the background (check your cpu and mem usage if you are unsure). You can also turn off all v isual/3d effects in your OS 3- CHECK YOUR CHIPs TEMPS AND FREQUENCIES. This, to me, is a likely culprit. A laptop a few years old is likely to have its vents clogged with lint and if you are unluky a caked up thermal compound. You should check both your i7 chip and your amd chip. If they get too hot, your OS would automatically freq them down. KSP is an excellent indicator for this problem if your laptop runs really hot on touch it is probably the problem. 4- get ksp running at acceptable fps with 4go of ram before going to 8Go.
  22. I just had a quick look at this thread and I am a little baffled by the OP's question. Wthout thrust and with positive pitch you will always loose speed. So why would you not just reduce thrust? My best advice is to watch some flight school videos and/or learn how to fly a basic plane on a real sim, and i am sure you will have a lot more fun with ksp. Btw in ksp I hardly use flaps and never speed brakes and I have no problem landing. EDIT: Other advice, once you have settled your speed issue and know how much throttle you need depending on your flight profile (take off/climb/cruise/descent/landing), practise landing at a vertical speed -5 to -10m/s. Using ILS on a real sim will help you memorise how to land and soon you will not need the ILS anymore...
