Y3, D1: "Breakaway" I wonder... is anyone out there crazy and/or resourceful enough to recreate the Kerbol system in a program that does, run it forward to the aforementioned date, delete Kerbin, and see what happens?

*laughs and laughs, and applauds, and laughs s'more* As for why he couldn't get back: I think the monolith was willing to bend its "do nothing but observe" orders/programming just a little bit (past the information-imparting it's already done, that is) - perhaps, in part, due to some rather un-machine-like spite at Jeb for trying to kick it - but after that, it's up to the kerbals to do the rest. This also gives the space program something to do besides organizing a very long line and herding everyone through to Duna or wherever. That would be much too easy.

I'm one of the fans who knew you first through Spore, though I've not played it recently either... Loved seeing it in this last post, though.

Me, I chuckled at the "BDO" and "the pictures look fake" refs.

I maintain two saves - my "real" save, and a separate "test" save, which I use for this (including lander testing, with HyperEdit to put them in orbit of the body they're going to) and also general messing around in sandbox mode.

Mk I cockpit with bubble canopy post 1.1?
Commander Zoom replied to Commander Zoom's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
You are, of course, correct; I apologize for being sloppy with my terms. The version introduced in the .25 update, then, with a rigid-framed canopy. And thank you very much, Yemo. I'm looking forward to it. -
How we feel about the new Panther engine.
Commander Zoom replied to Sharkman Briton's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I gotta say, no offense to Porkjet, but I am not a fan of the new Mk 1 cockpit (as shown on the very first page). I prefer the style we have now (updated as of .25), with a canopy, over the "windows" look. And maybe I should have said so before, but I still don't think that ordinary jet engines should produce visible trails with shock diamonds, etc during normal operation. At full afterburner, sure, but when just cruising along? -

Mk I cockpit with bubble canopy post 1.1?
Commander Zoom replied to Commander Zoom's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Right, I know. I'm indifferent to the (new) inline cockpit, but I prefer the current look of the Mk1 "nose" - specifically, that it has a canopy, not windows. If I thought it'd do any good, I'd say so in the general discussion thread(s); but I figure the decision has already made, and so I'm just trying to preserve this version for those (like me) who prefer it. -

Is anyone out there planning to preserve (perhaps with minor tweaks) the current Mk I nose, with bubble canopy, after it gets changed to this with the upcoming release? I figure I can't be the only one who prefers the current look, no offense to Porkjet.

That's a neat little plane / winged capsule, and I loved the ref(s).

Landed on Laythe, first time ever, in my .24 legacy save. Spent a full day on the surface, including a 2 km hike down to the shoreline; then lifted off and returned the three kerbal crew to their temporary orbital outpost (barely). Had the hard realization that I only packed about half as much fuel as I should have - the crew's return fuel to Kerbin is on the way, but I'd hoped for more of a margin for exploring the moons. I should have sent along about twice as many tankers as I did. As it is, I'm probably going to have to scrub either Tylo, or Bop and/or Pol. And even that will have to wait on the mission to Vall, just in case it needs rescue and in-flight refueling.
-
I'm finally wrapping up my old .24 save (getting out to Jool took a long time), and I'm not very happy with the part I cobbled together for a surface-attached atmosphere sensor over a year ago. The new stock part (as of 1.0) would be perfect, but converting it to the old format is beyond my rudimentary skills; I copied the model over and converted the textures to .png (and then renamed back to .dds so .24 will read them), but they're all mixed up. Can someone just... do it for me?

"After Action Report" - that is, a report which is filed after the mission (or "action").

OP: This post was never ever going to accomplish what you say you want it to. You should not have made it, and I sincerely believe that you should ask for this thread to be closed immediately.
