  1. Great mod! Am using this to start my new Beta game off "right." The one issue I'm seeing is the one with the science packages, in the post right above this one.
  2. So that your ship doesn't run out of power on the pad, I would guess. Congratulations on getting this amazing mod into the stock game.
  3. Trueborn: Thanks very much for this mod. It filled a need, and served its purpose well.
  4. Nice station! But I'd strongly suggest that you not upload every single screenshot - some more than once, it seems. Pick the highlights. And scenes that are illuminated (by the sun, or lights on the rocket or station) tend to be better received than ones that aren't.
  5. Congratulations on your achievement! And thanks for the post. I'm working on bringing my own first Duna crew home soon - would have already, but other missions and launch windows came up first.
  6. Finally, after three days, at least five major revisions and countless tweaks, I have a working* Eve lander, along with a landing site (0° 1' 40'' N, 15° 39' 40" W - fairly flat, almost 6 km up, and practically on the equator). Now to stick it on a rocket and send it off. * well, it worked in the simulator...
  7. As someone who held off on switching over, and finally did, the benefits (for me) are: Much easier updates (which can be rolled back if necessary - I'm currently still playing 24.2, for reasons.) Time tracking Letting everyone else know I have and love it
  8. Yes, that is a pair of D-class asteroids. Total mass (including the 5 ton connector), 791.45 tons. Captured and wrangled into equatorial orbits around Kerbin from initial inclinations of 90 degrees (or more) and brought together at an altitude of 500 km. (You can see one of the tugs at the upper right; it's since cast off.) Once I got them close, I fired the four harpoons grappling hooks and winched them together. Took a ... few tries. Now I just have to decide what to name it. Them. Whatever.
  9. Very much so, yes. I remember when this first came out. Still makes me a bit misty-eyed.
  10. Yup! I've now intercepted and captured two class Ds coming in from high out of the ecliptic, and wrangled them into circular polar orbits. Next stop, involving a lot of fuel tankers, is getting them into equatorial orbit (in the same direction), and then into the same orbit... yes, I plan to link 'em up, if the game (and KAS) lets me. I've also got a class E swinging by in a few weeks. Now that is going to be a monster. Fortunately, it's a much less inclined orbit, and a nice wide arc. Still, I might want to dock an extra fuel tank to the tug before I even send it out there... I have a feeling I'm gonna need it.
  11. What macdjord said. And I imagine "from the grove" is actually a very common answer when a kerblet asks.
  12. Nice. "Every rocket and spaceplane, every lander and rover, every kerbonaut, every explosion..."
  13. Yup. And as noted in the thread linked in my sig, intrepid explorer Tre Kerman has stood on both of them, and planted flags to mark the spot(s). FYI, the north polar peak is just shy of 5,500 meters above "sea" level.
  14. Personally, I would like the option (via cfg file or whatever) to de-integrate Module Manager from the loading screen. Until .25, I stuck with an older version of the dll (1.5) specifically to avoid this "feature." It provides me with no useful information, gets in the way of the loading bar (or vice-versa), adds clutter, etc. I would prefer it to be as invisible as possible.
  15. I suspect you could probably edit the part.cfg(s) of the Coolrockets parts to point to the new stock directories, and things would work fine.
  16. That did it. The part directory is now "structuralPanel2x2", not just "2". Thanks, Nathan (and MeCripp too).
  17. One of Ubio's old stockalike parts, the 4x4 structural panel, isn't loading anymore under .25, and I'm not sure why. It's a pretty old part; did part handling change? It doesn't show up in sandbox mode either, so it doesn't seem to be a matter of not being researched. the path is GameData/UbioWeldingLtd/Parts/ubioStructuralPanel3/ (I don't have his welding mod installed, just this one useful part). part.cfg is as follows: EDIT: answered, so cut. I'm only using it for one thing, the baseplate on a supply module I dropped for my Mun base a while back, but I'd just as soon not lose it/keep using it.
  18. Same behavior here - KSP is loading like ATM is not installed, and then crashing.
