as I understand it a lot of the parts covered by BDB are NOT in RO because they doggedly stick to Frizznit's FASA mod... which, 10 years ago, was a great mod, but by the time we get to the 2nd generation of BDB model and textures it has been left in the dust. I do not think FASA hast had any major artwork updates since then Frizznit handed off "ownership" of the mod to RaiderNick and granted CobaltWolf the right to reuse the launch clamps. PS There is one part set in FASA that I wish was in BDB... The Fixed wing Soaring Gemini capsule. It is Ugly, It is Cludgly and it does not do what most people think it is supposed to do. Since the wing is to separate after the Capsule is over a body of water and the capsule still splashes down under parachute. The Fixed wing is to allow " out of sequence" aborts when in orbit. IE Damn we sprung an O2 leak and we have 25 minutes of Oxygen left. You use the glide wing to enhance "cross range maneuverability" (the ability to choose your point of landing) And then once over that new landing point, Pop the wing/Nosecone to reveal the same parachute that Gemini flew with... Pop that to land If you are lucky the parachute attached to the Nosecone will land it close enough to your capsule that it can be recovered as well.... before it sinks into the Ocean.

SUS, Total SUS Congratulations with the Delta IV EELV SUS stage! I happen to love seeing Historical and Ab Historical launchers so... *pulls popcorn from the machine* Nom nom RE posting out of order, If you have Grammarly installed on many browsers, KSPforums + imgur imbeds + Grammerly and probably + the security settings I run, cause all sorts of problems. To the point I shut Grammarly off when posting on this forum.

No no no! Where is the Sus!? Delta IV SUS = Delta K tank with Delta KX engine (it is close enough given how little data we have on SUS) SUS = Delta IV Light/Lite = Storable Upper Stage. And yes, the Atlas SUS and the Delta SUS are not related even thought they have the same root name. Ok joking and minor historical points asside, what did you use for your SRMs?

1) sorry everyone for getting Cobalt Hooked on BTA3062 And no he isn't using my Sub-mod for that mod 2) I agree, in the case of Battletech Advanced 3062 mod, the Discord is hard to keep up with what is going on unless you are there constantly. Discord search features are, in a word, awkward, and leave a lot to be desired. Generous Ruler? Are you certain BT hasn't gone to your head? I think the shape of both of these adapters are nice. Yes you could conceivably make the lower one "smoother" but that would interfere with optional parts that could be put on the X-15, the current profile, while not perfectly aerodynamic is perfectly modular compatible with most things people would do with X-15

I had some bad luck with it recently, but Tweakscale the LDC cores down might be a viable option? *I had Explorer I Auto-size to 3.125m diameter... from 0.125m Every probe was doing something like this when I had Tweakscale installed. Cobalt has already said to pay attention to his X account for any updates should the forums implode. PERSONAL OPINION. Most of what we are experiencing is people panicking and trying to COPY the entire forum for their own archives. To my mind this is a **REALLY BAD IDEA** and I am a flight history archivist by hobby! Now that it has been a while we are seeing LESS bad gateway disconnects then we were in the days after everyone realized that Take Two was "altering" the trajectory of this game eccosphere. I attribute that to less people trying to archive. But hey, it wouldn't be the first time today I was wrong if I am!

Every drawing I have seen of this shows the TVC tanks in their same place... but you can never see the inner "ring." Also most of the drawings predate the final fit/form of the UA120 SRM so... they are a bit questionable. Given the segmented nature of the SRM, and the fact that the LOCK-Roll (latter named FLEX-Roll when Thiokol licensed it from Lockheed space and Missile) was not on these SRMs is probably one of many reasons why no one ever attempted this. Among many MANY other reasons! For those that haven't seen my document on the INT series (My archive of documents is linked in my signature below!) There was supposed to be 5,6,7,and 8 120" SRMs used as a first stage for Saturn IB. With the parts we have 5 is the upper limit I was able to fit without major clipping.

First testflight is underway Note the Inline UA1205 has the TVC tanks. To make this correctly a NON TVC version of the UA1205 without the tanks would be needed. There is a lot of clipping going on between the UA-1205s. I am launching this in a 4 +1 flight mode. It flew OK (I turned Center engine TVC off) Still in flight more photos to come ... from a second flight (Hears Scott Manley "Check your staging") Built with S-IV standard Inter-stage and a central Inline UA-1205, 4x BDB Medium Decouplers ( for their thickness) and 4 Radial UA-1205s with non SRM nosecones attached. BDB Medium Decoupler was disabled (the outer ring of SRMs stayed with the rocket

Exactly correct DaveyJ576. But worse, it was also supposed to be on the USS Kentucky and the USS Long Beach (and her never built sister ships!) USS Kentucky, the unfinished "2nd Flight" Iowa class BB. She was still extant and was finished up to the main deck, sans the very tip of her bow (which had just been cut off, and a new bow was in manufacturing at this time) Unfortunately most websites focused on the history of the Jupiter program do not mention the surface ship. I believe that is because; Kentucky would have been a one-off no matter what, and Because most people do not associate Missiles, with Battleships, even today with all the video of Tomahawks being launched in support of Desert Storm in 1991. The design for USS Long Beach was still very early in it's design cycle. The above is an early drawing of Long Beach right after removal of Jupiter from the design but before Polaris (the area between the two structures is where Jupiter was to go, it shows a Triton (canceled) or Regulus I in this location.) Likewise, early on, the USS Long Beach (CGN-9) was to carry 2 Jupiter IRBM. With push-back over the "Land-lubber" derrick system for Jupiter (basically giant fixed crane booms would hold the missile at all times... allowing them to SWAY in any sort of sea. Missiles careening into things was a serious concern for the non BuShips (Bureau of Ships, the people who DESIGNED ships and refits,) ship commanders. And the Sub forces screaming about how unsafe liquid propellant was.... Jupiter got canceled. FWIW the US Navy being involved with Jupiter was forced by Congress (big surprise.) Wayne Scarpaci has some good drawings of this in his Feb 2013 book "US Battleship Conversion Projects, 1942-1965" Which covers every proposed battleship upgrade for the US Fleet until the USS New Jersey was pulled out of the mothball fleet for service in Vietnam. In the book he actually goes into more than a basic detail of the decision process. The USS Kentucky Drawing for Jupiter looks more akin to a self loading bulk ISC (international Shipping Container) carrier than a Battleship. Closer to ships like a heavily derrick equipped Evergiven or MV Dali (only mentioned as both are now kinda infamous.) Derricks everywhere, a huge swath of flat deck space with a small central superstructure in the middle of it all. It appears to still be available easily via the Used-book markets. Part of Kentucky still exists... the first ~65 ft of Bow on the USS Wisconsin is ACTUALLY the USS Kentucky. Last I heard there was a line painted on the main deck by the bow marked BB-64 (arrow pointing at the stern of the ship) and BB-66 (Arrow pointing to the tip of the Bow.) I do not know if this line is still on her today. Apparently if you are on the port (left) side of the ship at that line you can actually see a bit of a kink where the hull plates didn't quite line up. (Note this is 2nd hand information and I am uncertain if the visible kink or painted lines are more or less "fish tales" I have never tread on the USS Wisconsin's decks)

You are probably right. I only went in with the Voyager parts and when I saw *AN* engine was listed as mono (probably an attatude adjustment engine not the main one, now that both you and Cobalt have pointed it out.) I stopped looking. As I said been a tough week "Thinking wise" Feel free to DM me a list, Or alternatively I have zero issues if you are Github handy and want to submit your own PR for the Hypergolic patch. I developed it for the community not just for myself Also I am Hunam... I make mistakes err HUMAN Sorry very old very bad joke from StarControl2 AKA UrQuan Masters AKA Free Stars the UrQuan Masters

During the evolution of the changes to BTA it was discovered that a feature I had set up for the Agena Tanks (Monocoque structure) was not being properly used (as in NOT AT ALL) Now I could have persisted with that but it turns out some math was wrong in the OG patch. To fix that made the idea of Monocoque tank types a non starter (for Agena at least.) I removed that from the Hypergolic patch. In doing so I also removed the defaultTankType setup for Agena. I do not remember addressing this and after almost 12 hours of sleep I still am brain zorched... So I am going to assume Rodger caught it and fixed it. The patch was applied after your post @GoldForest As indicated above, I have spent a lot of "mental horsepower" in the past three days on the Fluoric patch... Not to mention I keep having to Re type Flourine... because it is actually spelled Fluorine. English langauge is such an EXPLETIVE with all these weird ways to spell things that do not match how we pronounce them.... Deleted references to Bread powered rockets... I will circle back after the Funeral I am going to tomorrow and start to go through ALL of the probes for potential HypergolicBDB patches. Today I am going to let my brain rest and catch up on the chores I should have been doing all week. I will say that does look nice

Fun fact: The particular mix these engines use, which is Hydrazine + LF2, is only SLIGHTLY better than Aerozine50/NTO. The advantage; it is still semi-storable with a little better ISP. LF2, LOX and Methane are CLOSE together for the purposes of boiloff. YES all three Boiloff. and yes Methane and oxygen are actually not great together due to crossover of boiling/freezing points... but there you have it. @Rodger If you ever wanted to make an extra cfg for Boiloff of LOX or FLourine... use the same settings as are already set for methane It is "Close enough" for a non RO/RP-1 game. <-- OPINION!

***COMMING SOOON (not yet but REAL SOON)*** New Bluedog DB Extras file Bludedog_DB_Extras\Pafftek\FluorineBDB\ What is this? Those of you already utilizing my \Pafftek\HypergolicBDB\ patch will realize this is just an extension of that patch to add fluorine to a SMALL selection of Rockets and tanks. Liquid Fluorine in any form (LF2, ClF3, LFOX it does not matter) Is a highly caustic Fuoxidizer. No I wish I wasn’t completely making that name up. Fluorine can be utilized as a fuel or as an oxidizer. It is hypergolic with many many other chemicals. It is primarily classified as an Oxidizer because it does not react, when under pressure, with Liquid Oxygen. To paraphrase famous and well-published rocket scientist John D Clark. “Rocket fuel should not instantly dissolve rocket technicians.” Liquid Fluorine in any form will do that. This, above all else, is why GREEN is not good! Ok, poking fun at the establishment aside, and back on topic. How do Rocket Technicians get dissolved by Fluorine? Mere exposure to… anything almost turns Liquid Fluorine into Hydrofluoric Acid. Air, Skin, Cloths, many metals etc. All of them will turn Fluorine into Hydrofluoric acid. It really cannot get much nastier than that! I have created a patch file that grants many of the already Hypergolic fuel tanks in BDB the ability to store Hydrazine and Liquid Fluorine. If future parts come along that run on FLOX and Hydrogen, I will expand this patch to include that fuel combination at that time. So, it is possible to use engines other than the Rocketdyne G-1, I have also added hypothetical Fluorine versions of several engines I will list below in my “List of parts affected.” I do not plan to add any Service Modules or other man-rated parts to the Fluorine patch unless someone is able to show cause for me to do so. And no, “I want it ipso facto you must do it” will not count! THE PARTS: · Transtage receives a new engine variant “Metis Verdigris” or “Transtage Fluorine” Completely self-contained · Agena A new XLR81 variant, the “RLX81-8084 Toliman” aka the XLR-81-8084, utilizing the same model as the RLX81-8081 (LR81-8081) · Agena Fuel tanks (Main and SOT drop tanks only) · Able/Ablestar/Delta: The Vanguard Able tank, DeltaB tank, DeltaP/K tanks, DeltaE tank, ThorAble tank and Ablestar tanks have all received the Flourine tank patches · Able AJ10-118E engine “Verdigris Alphastar” aka AJ10-118E FL2 · Centaur D and Centaur T tanks as well as Centaur DM "Kick" Jr · Vega Tanks and engine mount · Rocketdyne G-1 engine itself, the inclusion of which started this whole patch! No Pics no Proof: https://imgur.com/a/NSDtJJj Technically, I probably should have only done the Agena and Able/Ablestar/Delta tanks up to but not including Delta P/K, but I wanted to give a little more flexibility for a unique period in history when “performance” is more important than safety and cost. *Note: Due to lack of room on the test bench, I did not use the Thor-Able tank, but it is included in the patch. **NOTE: This patch is still early in its development cycle and thus subject to change at a moment's notice. I would not use this patch on a SCIENCE/CAREER playthrough in the next few weeks. However, it should be completely up to date by the next Bluedog DB Release. Special thanks to Rodger for patiently helping me de-bug this and teaching me how to edit the Waterfall effects! This wouldn't look half as good without him! Followup, it is a known issue that the Fluorine tanks are losing monpropellant. I am working on a solution currently.

Interesting. I am checking Github to see why it is no longer listed or if the Delta_E Tank is new... ***EDITED*** found the issue, It was never in the public patch. I did have some updates to the patch for my personal use (now deleted) and I am willing to bet that is why I never noticed it wasn't working THANKS for the catch... sorry for my error! But while I am doing that... Sekret time Shhh! Itz A Sekret! I am neck deep in the "Sekret" update and it heavily involves the Hypergolic patch @GoldForest If you want to fix it on your own end before I post an update, easy solution is to open BDB_HypergolicUpdate.cfg And edit the delta tank section to look like this: @PART[bluedog_DeltaK_Stage,bluedog_DeltaP_Stage,bluedog_DeltaE_Tank]:NEEDS[!SkyhawkScienceSystem]:First { %bdbTankType = Hypergolic } But then again, Thanks to the power of Github I did create a PR to fix it (tomorrow at the earliest is my guess for the update.)
