I recently started using "Transfer Window Planner" and quickly found it indispensable. Especially combined with KAC and mods like Precise Maneuver, which makes plotting those interplanetary burns sooo much easier

Ye gads, my sons both got the same alarm clock for xmas, with a set of really confusing multi-function buttons. It took me forever to figure out how to stop the alarms from going off at 12:00am, and I have to figure it out again every time the boys mess something up. I miss the old clocks (like in my room) with clearly labelled "time / alarm / hour / minute / sleep / snooze" buttons, that only do one thing

Well, if you get the engine(s) lit before the entry wind makes that impossible, then the plume could protect the engine(s) through the worst of the re-entry conditions, until it slows down to Falcon-esque speeds. Not firing the engine for braking so much as for protection, keeping the bow shock off the engine bells.

Completing the construction of LAGS (Legalized Alcohol and Gambling Station), a "Bases & Stations" contract requiring an orbital casino that can hold 100 kerbals, oodles of EC, many lights, and has 4 asteroids. The "Indicator Lights" mod really helps it sparkle.
