  1. You've come to the right place! I've got a few ideas for interesting mission for ya. 1. Do precision landing on the Mun, getting two spacecraft launched separately next to each other. 2. Do an orbital docking over Kerbin without RCS. 3. Do at least a fly-by of Eve (a feat in of itself!). 4. Land on top of one of the mountains west of the KSC.
  2. Would you stop giving me heart attacks?! Okay, that was a little funny...
  3. I swear! That isn't what I replied to!
  4. What if it's a partnership with Space Engine? Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, let this be true!
  5. I've seen those clouds a couple times where I live. Quite crazy! Clouds don't scare me until they turn into tornadoes. That's pure horror.
  6. Yeah, that was really awesome. I even spent two days trying to create 8K planets because of your post!
  7. Ssssssh...those are details!
  8. Back in my day, games came on discs! there's really nothing like picking up a box containing one of your favorite games and holding to up to light and saying "I own this!" Gotcha! Painball was one of these games that make me proud to own, and to this day I see it as a one of the the greatest games I've ever played. It's fast-paced, well designed, and extremely unique. Unfortunately I was going to relive my glory days with Gotcha! but couldn't find it in the shelf of old games. This was terrible! How could I lose such an awesome game? Now, lately I've been a little under the weather with a pretty bad cold, so bad in fact I had to stay home from school for the first time in three years. I was feeling a nostalgic feel come the afternoon, and eventually I gave in to see if I could miraculously find Gotcha! Paintball. I wasn't expecting it to turn up, so I rummaged through some other games instead. An old motorcycle game of mine catches my eyes and I decide to open it. Crammed in side along with the game is the Zelda 25th anniversary soundtrack and Gotcha! Paintball! I put it all back and rushed to the computer to install the game. Wow. Even after these several years of being separated I would expect my older, wiser self to realize this game wasn't as good as it used to be. But I was wrong, and it was still as stupidly fun and outrageously intense as it always has. I would share screenshots, but I couldn't find a way to do so. So, I will have to use the power of Google images to convey the images to you all. Now for the discussion: what were some of the memorable games of your childhood?
  9. Could you imagine recreating the end of portal 2 in KSP? Put a craft on the launchpad, plop a portal on the pad and the Mun and BAM! you're there!

    1000! Wahoo!

I wouldn't get excited until 1,000 posts, or at least 500. I know I first openly exclaimed my excitement for a post amount at 1,000. Nevertheless, if you're proud of it then good job!
  11. You can bump that up to six. 15-year-old here! Now guys, really, this thread is old. No need to keep it going. (Yes, I know this post is quite counterintuitive, but I like to defend my generation.)
  12. "It's not possible!" "No, it's necessary." *BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM BUUUUM* Sorry, my absolute love for Interstellar broke out. God that docking scene...
  13. Oh please don't let this happen again. I'm still mad! 24
  14. I've been wondering the same thing, too. I haven't been able to get my planets to look like anything more than a sphere.
  15. Yup, everything on the list except gravity assists. I have yet to do a single one of those. I don't like the idea of playing with an autopilot, just sounds cheaty to me. (That my opinion, guys!)
  16. Yes, I've gotten into Kerbin orbit. I have done precision landing on both the Mun and Minmus. Duna and Eve are the only planets I've ever legitimately landed on, although I have never made a return before. I have also done dozens of dockings. Finally, I use reverts all the time, but not quicksaves. In the end I got 2 points. Okay then.
  17. Nah man, that's, like, totally not tubular man. -1
  18. -1! (I'm feeling better, nomame, thx for the consideration earlier )
  19. I can't believe I've never heard of that mod before (well, actually I have but immediately forgot about it)! Sounds really cool, though.
  20. Huh. I've always heard of non-RCS docking always assumed it was next to impossible. However your technique of pointing the two spacecraft at each other certainly is something I haven't thought of before. I use RCS for my dockings, but very little since I've gotten very efficient with my maneuvering.
