  1. I meant it to say "relevant post to ksp development / teases"
  2. If you are going to create a new character to show the engineer reports (like werner in the archives) please please call him Klipo Kerman XD
  3. Hi Max, that is exactly was I(we) feel is needed. So far this is what happens: you say something on tweeter, some user sees it and makes a post in the general forum, then some users complain you are not addressing to this forum. A solution would be to have the CM or you to copy every message into the forum, or maybe have a tweeter plugin in the forum or something like that, so we can get access to all the relevant information from this site.
  4. This is how I imagine it will be implemented: A dV readout in the VAB, maybe available after some upgrade, and a dV readout on-flight, only if there's an engineer with some experience aboard. This way engineers play some important role other than repairing broken wheels
  5. I wonder why maxmaps likes to talk about ksp everywhere but this fourm
  6. About fairings, I believe inline fairings will be better option than procedural fairings. What I am saying is to have cylindrical fairings for 2.5m and 3.75m where you attach the payload and put a nosecone or pod on top. IIRC KW has something like that. Another thing, you mentioned that wings inside closed cargo bays would not have lift, but what about wings inside open cargo bays? They shouldn't work either. Could you clarify? @Rowsdower: Good luck in your future endeavors, you are going to be missed.
  7. Having enough dv for a mission does not guarantee you are going to finish the mission, you will probably overspend when you make a mistake. On the other hand, there's no way you are going to finish a mission if you don't have enough dv. This kind of situation is fun when you are trying to get into orbit, you spend a couple of minutes, realize your rocket is not good, go back to vab and improve it, then rinse and repeat, that is fun when you are a beginner. But when you are planning a return mission to jool, having a bad last stage means hours wasted, that is not fun. One idea I had is that the dv/twr readouts could be gained when updating some facility, like the R&D building. Now we have the barn back, on level 0 there's no readouts, upgrading to lvl 1 gives you a simple reading, and lvl2 gives you a full stage by stage information.
  8. Jim: Will you have TWR indication in the engineer report? Before using KER it was a common problem for me to not have enough TWR in the second stage, so it'd be nice to have a warning for low TWR, or simply showing the number for the last stage.
  9. Non-KSP: Freedyw: pretty funny videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDsO-0Yo5zpJk575nKXgMVA Seda Baykara: she make music covers, maybe you could ask her to make the ksp music in violin https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCejpmjs8axtxALAOzTBRDXA
  10. That's recklessly stupid, give me 2!
  11. No, but something to differentiate the antennas would be good, like antenna range
  12. And another post about this. This is an easter egg from a mod...
  13. Hope Ferram gets hired to implement the aerodynamic rework, he deserves it
  14. I'd like to see what Scott Manley can do with tier 1 buildings only
  15. In my 0.90 career I did a mun flyby without nodes or patched conics. which is actually pretty simple. But then I had to make a correction maneuver inside mun SOI to get back to kerbin, that took me a couple of tries since I had 1.2 units of electricity left and not much delta V left also. I felt pretty proud of myself after a successful return home. With maneuvers and patched conics it would have been quite easy, but now it was a real challenge, and I like that
  16. I use it for contract satellites in kerbin orbits as first stage because is cheap
  17. Actually they do. I noticed there is a series of dots moving in the specified orbit that indicates the direction you should go.
  18. The new sandbox mode is quite a challenge! Good work people, get some well deserved rest and see you next year.
