  1. You can actually prove 1=2. It depends on how you define "1" and "2". It took Russell and Whitehead 100s of pages to prove 1 + 1 = 2.
  2. deleted Edit: Sorry, it was a nonsense that wouldn't help you.
  3. Yes, it is. Cheating yourself out of fun. Plus if you want money/science there are faster ways to get them.
  4. Numbers and mathematical axioms were invented, the rest was discovered assuming they work as defined.
  5. It does. New question: What would happen if you, unbeknownst to any authority, launched a rocket into space. Would it get shot down? Would you be in trouble?
  6. Sorry but it really doesn't sound like a good idea. Getting fuel from other parts of Kerbin is a work for lesser kerbals and not the space faring elite of kerbalkind. Of course if it is something you really want then you're free to write the mod but I don't think it would be very popular. Dangerously big rockets full of explosive fuel are popular.
  7. There haven't been any devnotes recently and the search function returned nothing relevant so I will ask here: Is Squad actively looking into Unity 5? Also will devnotes come back in some form? Thanks
  8. I can stop smoking and drinking whenever I want but I don't want to. (I may have actually said a PC variation of this myself) Doubting a true statement is better than not doubting a false one in my book. I don't believe the conspiracy theories but could have been prevented if things worked as they should, especially the scrambling of fighter jets. It took half an hour ffs. Let's hope it was just incompetence.
  9. Another system would be interesting but since the current one wasn't updated for 2.5 years I'd prefer some new planets in our home system.
  10. But it's inefficient, afaik it's best to do the whole burn to your target in one go dv wise. I usually do it from LKO using MJ as it has a brilliant, colourful porkchop plot which lets you decide when you want to start the burn, when you want to arrive and the dv required to do so. Probably the best feature MJ has.
  11. It lowered your drag in dense atmosphere before. I don't know if it still works with the new aero since I didn't update yet (mods) but I don't see why it wouldn't.
  12. Probably this KSPI shuttle that flew only on antimatter and could get you anywhere within a day or two. It doesn't look like much but it has enough fuel to last it a career, landing pod with over 9000dv which can be switched for cargo, shute+airbag emergency system and flies well in FAR. I've stopped using KSPI with the demise of KSPx64 but this was my ultimate end game craft.
  13. That's some ancient tech if it can't be remotely controlled. As for the periapsis being close to the event horizon that would imply they were moving at velocity close to c relative to the black hole so their puny engines wouldn't do squat anyway. Also with a celestial body this large waiting a few minutes wouldn't change the maneuver all that much.
  14. Not in this case, look at the shape of the spoiler.
  15. What bugged me the most is that the black hole evidently has the same speed vector as Earth since they don't need to correct the otherwise insane velocity difference. Which means it's quite close to the Earth. But it isn't. Also the whole time dilatation thing was extremely stupid. I really tried to enjoy the movie but unfortunately I couldn't.
  16. TAC Fuel Balancer is one of my essential mods and one that can solve the surplus oxidizer problem as it allows you to dump fuel. This could be especially useful if you use resource mining to refuel your station. The nukes should be the endgame solution to everything so talking about not having parts unlocked is pretty meaningless. Not to mention you don't actually need to use nukes for anything. You can go to Moho and back without nukes no problem.
  17. I've done a return mission to the mun in a first few days (quicksave spam though) but yes, the feeling of accomplishment is incredible. The game challenges your intelligence and creativity while posing a great number of challenges you can set for yourself so it doesn't get old easily. I've never played a game that taught me even remotely so much while remaining enjoyable and probably never will again. I'm suffering from a permanent burnout now it seems but new features of 1.0.x and a completely new FAR could change that when the rest of the essential mods update. Edit: grammar
  18. Fast forward for a few days and you will. Squad should really introduce axial tilt but I guess that will come with a weather system of some sorts (or I hope so at least). Clouds, axial tilts (and more interesting terrain) are the last things that are really missing from the game.
  19. It has reactionless drive of course. The problem is it's un-aerodynamic due to that leg in the front of the "ship". A spoiler is fine for cars but a permanent spoiler for an aircraft?
