  1. Reported Version: v0.2.1 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 Home | CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 TI | RAM: 16,0 GB This bug seems to be related to this: Although that being said. The result is achieved without using any time warp: Bug Documentation: Bug replication steps: Fly a craft away - take control of either the base or the cew shuttle 02 Result will be that it have fallen through the floor. Note: I have a map bug - but I've never experienced that before.. The bug report is not about that though. Included Attachments: Basefallthroughground-notimewarppackage.zip .ipsImage { width: 900px !important; }
  2. Reported Version: v0.2.1 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 Pro Build: 19045.3448 | CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Gold G5420 CPU @ 3.80GHz | GPU: AMD Radeon 5500XT | RAM: 16GB I just made my first aircraft and the ocean looks like the texture might be missing? Included Attachments:
  3. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i7 - 12700K | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 TI (16GB) | RAM: 32GB (3200 MHZ) Came back from a Mun mission and to my surprise, the Ocean disappeared, didn't know Kerbol got hotter :klueless: . Fix: Restarting the Game. Included Attachments:
  4. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: windows 11 | CPU: 5950x | GPU: 4090 | RAM: 64G For craters below sea level, the lighting rendering of sunlight is incorrect and seems to be blocked, resulting in complete darkness Included Attachments:
  5. Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: i7-11800H | GPU: RTX 3050 Laptop | RAM: 16GB Severity: Low (not game breaking obviously but c'mon man i wanna see the curve) Frequency: as frequent as eclipses go The game kinda cheats when simulating eclipses, it just darkens the surface of whichever planet or moons SOI you're in which only looks appropriate on the surface. Here are the screenshots of the Mun getting brighter as I get out of Kerbin's shadow. Screenshot Transitions from Dark to Light:
  6. Reported Version: v0.1.5 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core | GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 | RAM: 32 Surface of the body is not illuminated by the Sun, even tough it should be. You can circle the entire body, it will remain dark. It seems that this issue persists, even when save is loaded from from freshly started game, so that's good news (save file included). Worth noting is that, sometimes, I got trajectory lines bug upon reloading a save, so maybe it helps, The stand-up guy remains elusive though... Included Attachments: mun2.json
  7. Reported Version: v0.2.1 (latest) | Mods: (Other Attachment) | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with Radeon Graphics | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Laptop | RAM: 16GB Straight to the point, ended up landing my craft on the side of kapy rock's head, noticed shadows both on the rock and behind it. (Black strip to the right of the head in screenshot) Included Attachments:
  8. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Edition Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 Installed on ‎29/‎06/‎2022 OS build 19045.3803 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19053.1000.0 | CPU: CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz Base speed: 3.40 GHz Sockets: 1 Cores: 4 Logical | GPU: GPU 0 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Driver version: 31.0.15.4633 Driver date: 06/12/2023 DirectX | RAM: Memory 32.0 GB DDR3 Speed: 1600 MHz Slots used: 4 of 4 Form factor: DIMM Hardware reserved: 4 Severity: Low I remember the developers talking about how they want to clean up the terrain on planets - in a forum post or in a video I don't remember. But I found one of those messy terrain rendering glitches on the Mun: a nice ridge that goes for kilometers, I got the coordinates too: Latitude: 0 Longitude: 49.655 Altitude: 0 (surface) You should teleport right on it, or at least very close to it, and if you zoom out you notice the ridge even more. It's like a texture was cute and pasted onto another one, without a proper blending. These are rare, and I hope I'm helping out (discord links expired, replacing with imgur) Zoomed out:
  9. Reported Version: v0.2.1 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: win10 | CPU: i710700k | GPU: rtx2060 | RAM: 32gb Solar light isn't blocked by Jool when on Laythe (the eclipse isn't occuring). Only the sunflare disappears and the clouds get darker, the sky is still bright and the sun's position is indetifiable like if Jool wasn't there. Included Attachments: jul.mp4
  10. Reported Version: v0.1.3.1 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 | GPU: Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics | RAM: 16GB Title: Strange Terrain near Island Runway Specs: see attached DxDiag.txt (yes, I know my laptop is below minimum specs, but the game still runs, and should have no effect on this bug) Severity: low Frequency: high - consistent across saves and reloads Description: There appears to be unusual terrain near the runway on the island near the KSC. It is very jagged with overlapping ridges and looks like a terrain modeling issue. If this is intentional (like an easter egg I don't understand), just let me know and close this bug report. View from above: View from the side: Location from map screen: Included Attachments: DxDiag.txt
  11. Reported Version: v0.2.1 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes So I just booted up KSP2 and when I got to the homescreen when I panned around it started to change sunrise colours, the KSC was in the middle of the night. Included Attachments:
  12. Reported Version: v0.2.1 (latest) | Mods: maneuver node, flight plan, science arkive, community fixes | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Intel i3 9300f | GPU: RTX 1660 super | RAM: |6 I've noticed this seam problem only today, after several hours orbiting the moon. It doesn't look right. Also, I haven't tested without mods but I'm pretty sure none of the mods affect maps. Included Attachments:
  13. Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 pro | CPU: i9 9600kf | GPU: rtx 3080 | RAM: 32 gb i switched from rover on mars to plane on laythe and well the video speaks for itself. Included Attachments: PlanetsCollideVideo.mp4 test.zip
  14. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 Home 22H2 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | GPU: MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4080 16GB GDDR6X PCI Express 4.0 | RAM: 128 GB DDR5-6000 What happened: I have crossed through the rings on a slight incline and even tried to match them as best I can in map view, but at no point in the orbit do I actually see anything in flight view. This kind of robs us of an exploration opportunity and there should be a special flight situation for it as well. What was expected: Lots of tiny space dust, or maybe even small asteroids. Something colorful and reflecting sun light like you see it in the map. Something with a 3D appearance, as the map shows a 2D texture. Included Attachments:
  15. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: Intel i9-9750H | GPU: RTX3060 | RAM: 32GB After updating to 0.2, noticed that when timewarping to daytime in the KSC view, the skybox had gotten stuck and was rotating with the planet (see attached video). Tried closing and relaunching the game, only to find the skybox missing now missing (see attached video). Affects all campaigns - quicksaving/quickload, relaunching and reinstalling the game had no effect. Included Attachments: FrozenSkyboxz.mp4 MissingSkybox.mp4
  16. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Intel core i5 | GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 | RAM: 16GB In an orbit around planets/moons without an atmosphere, the terrain (craters) is illuminated well before the sun actually rises. Geometrically this should be impossible. When a planet has an atmoshphere this is probably just not as noticeable I guess. Could this have to do with the fact that terrain above sea level is ignored for this calculation? Just a very naive guess Included Attachments:
  17. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: i7-10870H | GPU: RTX 3070 | RAM: 16GB The visuals for the sun doesn't seem to be blocked by clouds, while flying above/at the level of the clouds at sunset. Not sure exactly what's causing it but it's a bit jarring to see the glare when irl the sun would be hidden behind the clouds. Video attached shows sun not being hidden by clouds. It does get hidden by the horizon while I was flying near to the cloud layer to get a better look but as you can see the glare shows up through the clouds regardless. Included Attachments: sunhide.mp4
  18. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Intel Core i5 | GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 | RAM: 16GB As can be seen in the attached image, the planet renderer can mess up loading of sections of the terrain. This is only noticable at high altitudes. Does the renderer somehow think the rocket is at ground level and these sections can remain unloaded? The glitch only affects far away terrain and *eventually* the holes close up partially when the rocket gets near those surface coordinates. I am unable to reliably reproduce this bug. Included Attachments:
  19. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Intel i5 | GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 | RAM: 16GB There is a whole (extensive) and dense forest under the map at the KSC. Also, the Framerate suffers immensely when going near those hills next to the runway, but if one considers the screenshot I took it is not that surprising that the framerate goes down Included Attachments:
  20. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G | GPU: GTX 1050 Ti | RAM: 16GB 3200MHz I was coming back from the mun when i saw the atmosphere from Kerbin literally disappear. Anyways Possible steps for replication: Step 1: Go to Mun Step 2: Go back from Mun Step 3: Atmosphere should disappear Included Attachments: .ipsImage { width: 900px !important; }
  21. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Wine 9.0-rc3 on Linux | CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 | GPU: NVIDIA 3060 Ti | RAM: 32GB When launching a vehicle from Kerbin, the starfield suddenly changes appearance when the vehicle ascends past an altitude of approximately 21km. I'm reporting this as a separate bug since it has different visible symptoms, but the root cause may be the same as this bug: Severity: Low Steps to reproduce: Load and launch the stock Kerbal-K1 vehicle. Point the camera upward (radially out from Kerbin). Observe the starfield as the vehicle ascends. Expected behavior: The appearance of the starfield (ignoring atmospheric effects) remains constant. Observed behavior: The appearance of the starfield changes suddenly when passing an altitude of 21500m. Included Attachments: 21km.mp4
  22. Reported Version: v0.1.4 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 11 | CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 | GPU: RTX 2060 | RAM: 40GB Issue: A persistent visual bug that's been in the game since day one, Dres's rings currently always render behind the planet regardless of what angle they are viewed from, this has no impact on actual gameplay itself but severely ruins what would be otherwise one of the most scenic and beautiful places in the game This image below shows the visual bug: Some people were getting confused over the perspective before, so below is this image but with the near and far rings highlighted, as can be seen the rings should overlap Dres, but don't: From map view:
  23. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Intel i5-10300H | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti | RAM: 16384 MB Severity: Low-Med Frequency: Seen in several spots on Minmus. Description: The 'Arctic Ice' Biome is found on the edges of the Ice Sheet biome, where the corresponding science reports do not make sense. An example of this is at Latitude 0, Longitude -105, as pictured in the Screenshot. Included Attachments:
  24. Reported Version: v0.1.2 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: Intel i9 9900K | GPU: Nvidia 3070ti | RAM: 32GB What I think is happening: One of the developer videos mentioned Decals. They seem to be out of place when outside a certain range when Loaded. Loading a Craft Down the Hill Means Craft up the Hill (and Outside a Certain Range) can Sink into the Terrain Loading a Craft Up the Hill Means Craft Down the Hill can End Up Higher than the Terrain: Example of Rover Falling into the Planet Because of the Same Bug: Additional Information: There's a Reaction Wheel in the rover if it ends upside down from the game bouncing it when changing to it.
  25. Reported Version: v0.2.0 (latest) | Mods: none | Can replicate without mods? Yes OS: Windows 10 | CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i7 - 12700K | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 TI (16GB) | RAM: 32GB (3200 MHZ) While in the menu view of the KSC, the atmosphere acts weird, only seems to happen at night, and doesn't happen when in flight. Don't know how to replicate, but the KSC was directly behind Kerbin from Kerbol, if that somehow helps with anything. Included Attachments: Desktop2023_12.21-14_44_16_01 (1).mp4
