Exploring the Kosmos - NOT LONGER MAINTAINED
Kerminator K-100 posted a topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
This page documents my first KSP playthrough. A few days ago I installed the Kerbal Health mod and realized that all my craft would kill the Kerbals inside in a few days. I had found this blog: https://kerbalstates.wordpress.com/ (I think the forum profile is @Saybur Stuff) and it inspired me to document my playthrough like this. I also am a big fan of @purpleivan and his content inspired me to make my own content. The posts may be slightly image heavy but I want to show how to build similar things (looking at how other users build helped me come up with my designs). Mod List: -

I joined recently and made a few posts already, but figured I'd also make a greeting post. I'm Taz and I have played Kerbal Space Program since the early beginning, either in 2011 (as I remember the demo where the Mun was missing) or 2012 (where I have an invoice for buying the game). I've played hundreds of hours on KSP 1, where most of them were before it was added on Steam. I also have KSP 2, which I was looking forward to since the first announcement in 2019, but I haven't played it much because of its current state. This will hopefully change once the update with the fixes rolls out! ----- If you're familiar with the game "Raft" and joined the Official Discord, I am one of the moderators there (since 2018)! Hello and see you around the forum!

This aircraft is surprisingly stable. I can provide the craft file upon request!

I was looking for archives of old mods for old KSP, and i found this website: Kerbal Space Yard Package List (kspyard.com) If you want an old version to play for these mods, look for a forum about archiving old versions of the game. If you were nostalgic for these mods and wanted to use these again, thank me!

I'm just wondering what the oldest version of Kerbal Space Program you have is . For me personally, I'm pretty sure the oldest KSP Version I still have on my computer is the 0.90 Beta from December 2014. What about you?

I tried downloading bdarmory fps but my kerbal does not equip the guns so is ther a similiar mod to that. mod link for informations about the mod:https://spacedock.info/mod/284/BD%20-%20FPS

Hi, I've started work on a collection of parts that are remakes of the really, really old parts that existed from around 0.7-0.13 or something, as well as recreating some of their functionality. More images of the current parts made. Current parts and features done: Current Release GitHub page with source and plans Things I need help with: Next part on my hit-list: Old stack decoupler (I love the look of these things, despite their tall stature. I plan on having a 1/2-1/4th height variant that looks like the recently depreciated 1m stack decoupler, as well as a stack separator version) Feedback on the current models and textures I've made would be great. I'm trying to teach myself texture making because I've felt I've relied on procedural textures as a crutch for too long, so anything I could do in that dept. would be greatly appreciated. (Also terribly sorry this post is ugly, I haven't used this forum interface before, or really made a release page in general.)

Citroën BX "Flying Frankenstein", 1985 Its name: Flying Frankenstein. I’ve tried to mimick its performance in roadholding and top speed. There’s a lot of body roll but it’s got excellent suspension and doesn’t mind driving on the hills and plains of Kerbin, it just doesn’t like the mountains very much. It’s built on a monocoque frame resembling the original. It’s a bit flexible but there aren’t any struts, anywhere. The real car is 1170kg. The kerbal version is 10 times as heavy. Building a car in this scale in KSP is hard. Flying Frankenstein used to be a GT with a 1.9 liter carburetted engine and a manual 5-speed. I’ve converted it into a turbodiesel automatic and gave it a digital dashboard. I’ve bought the car in 2006 and converted it in 2008. I plan to continue driving it for as long as possible. Tip: if you wish to increase performance, right click on the second engine icon while driving and set the performance limiter back to 100%. Note: the little split in the rear bumper is for the exhaust thrust of the jet engines. Craft file

add it so you can switch versions like you can go to 0.16 also i would like 5 meter parts because they would be much more powerful and we could launch are creations and have less part count and it would be less laggy so you could fit the bigger payloads in fairings also you should add RSS in the game nathankell made i like it very much. and also clouds and scattering effects for planets and in astronomer's visual pack.

I know that there has been talk in the past of bringing back the old part models. I believe I have a method of doing so. Basically, some new parts with the old textures (smoothed out, but staying true to the original textures) would be added as cheap, low-tech items for an early space program. TCFF-01 A cheap but heavy fuel tank. Its designers insist that TCFF does not stand for "Tin-Can Full of Fuel." TCFF-02 The half-size little brother of the Tin-Ca-... I mean... TCFF-01. BR-1A One of the first rocket engines ever produced on Kerbin. It was quickly adopted by smaller space programs because of its cheapness and was used as first-stage propulsion and as a heavy-duty grill. BR-1B The gimbal-capable cousin of the BR-1A. It became popular as a cheap upper-stage rocket and carnival ride. X-01 Command Pod The original command pod. Because it was built in 2.5m size while most industries were focusing on 1.25m size, it was phased out. However, some rookie rocketeers have taken a liking to the old surplus pod and have been putting it to good use. APE-LAF The Atmospheric Propulsion Engine for Low Altitude Flight is the first jet engine ever produced for space programs. Its design was highly controversial since the APE series was not a rocket and its target industries focused on space travel. APE-HAF In response to the controversies surrounding the APE-LAF, the High Altitude Flight variant was developed. Its designers claimed that, while it still required oxygen to function, it was technically a rocket since it burned fuel directly as opposed to spinning a turbine. APIS After complaints of the APE series of engines sputtering and not working, the Atmospheric Propulsion Intake System was slapped together. It was fascinating to pilots because of the mysterious blue glow that it would emit at high speeds. ACM Mk1 When space programs began asking for a more permanent and aerodynamic alternative to command pods, the Aerodynamic Command Module was developed. Its designer insists that it is not a nosecone with controls and a window thrown into it. ACM Mk1b After slamming a plane into the side of a hangar and flattening the front of the ACM, it was accepted as a new variant. ACM Mk3 The chunky prototype of the Mk3 Cockpit. While heavier, the ACM Mk3 is cheaper and slightly smaller. C7 SLG C7's own Static Landing Gear. Intended as cheap, heavy-duty landing wheels. Not the most aerodynamic of aircraft equipment, but it gets the job done.

As I remember, Squad Hosted a KSP Good Idea/Bad Idea video competition waaaay back. As I remember, there was a winner, but I cannot seem to find it. Am I out of my mind? am I imagining things? is the video gone? or is it still there, hidden somewhere on you-tube?

Where do I get old versions of ksp? As in paid versions I'm pretty sure 13.3 and further. ( If it matters I got it on steam )
